Yin Shuwei didn’t play coy. She pulled out two field snails. “Here, just some stuff from the water. Actually, if you guys had looked around while doing your tasks, you would’ve found them easily too.”
Mentioning the tasks caused a collective silence to fall over the group.
It really would have been better to just follow Yin Shuwei’s lead and forage for food. Instead, they were either almost trampled to death by sheep or dragged into a pond by a cow.
The worst part was that even after suffering so much, there was nowhere to complain. Animals don’t understand human speech; if they decide they don’t like your tone, they’ll give you a nasty kick, and that’s the end of you.
Director Zhen wiped his sweat and forcibly pushed the schedule along. “The three couples can also prepare one dish to share. This is a chance to showcase your culinary skills and your love, as well as the fruits of your labor!”
Usually, setting up a competitive segment like this makes the show more watchable. Couples might show off their best skills to make their dish look the most delicious.
