The moment he heard that, Zong Huaiyu’s face darkened.

“Youchu, I’m warning you. Don’t start causing trouble right now. Your father is in a very bad mood today, and the consequences will be severe.”

“Oh my, why are you getting angry?” Shen Youchu teased.Full novel: The Capitalist Heiress Takes Trillions to Follow the Army — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Come on, come on. Let’s not keep your sugar daddy waiting.”

As she spoke, she casually wiped the grease from her hands onto Zong Huaiyu’s Zhongshan suit.

Then she turned and strolled toward the living room.

“You—!”

Looking at the massive grease stain now decorating his collar, Zong Huaiyu nearly died of heartbreak.

Furious, he flailed his arms and hurried after her.

The moment he saw Fu Boda, Zong Huaiyu transformed into the picture of hospitality.

“Oh my! Young Master Fu!”

“What wind blew you here today?”

“If only you’d informed me beforehand! My hospitality has been completely inadequate!”

Shen Youchu shoved him aside and stepped forward.

Just to make sure he wasn’t talking to a ghost.

After getting a good look at Fu Boda, she couldn’t help thinking:

This guy is built like a winter melon.

About five feet tall.

Nearly two hundred pounds.

His slicked-back hair was shinier than a lightbulb.

Broad shoulders.

Thick neck.

The necktie around him looked less like formal wear and more like a little kid’s red neckerchief.

The entire package was unintentionally hilarious.

The moment Fu Boda saw Shen Youchu, his eyes practically popped out of their sockets.

Displaying a mouthful of yellow teeth, he enthusiastically extended his hand.

“Hello, Comrade Shen.”

Instead of shaking it, Shen Youchu pinched her nose.

With her other hand, she fanned the air in front of her face.

The meaning couldn’t have been clearer.

You stink.

Fu Boda’s face instantly turned green.

He subconsciously took a step backward.

Then forced an ugly smile while shooting Zong Huaiyu an annoyed glance.

He had met countless women.

This was the first time one had dared embarrass Young Master Fu to his face.

Still…

After studying Shen Youchu carefully, he reluctantly swallowed his anger.

Fair skin.

Tall figure.

Beautiful face.

Excellent curves.

Compared to ordinary women, she was absolutely worth tolerating.

“Young Master Fu, please don’t take offense.”

Zong Huaiyu hurriedly stepped in to smooth things over.

“I spoiled her too much as her father.”

The look he shot Shen Youchu practically screamed:

I’m going to kill you later.

Shen Youchu completely ignored him.

Muttering “So smelly… ridiculously smelly…” under her breath, she turned and headed upstairs.

Honestly, spending time looking at this creep wasn’t nearly as interesting as checking on her crops inside the space.

As she left, Fu Boda’s eyes followed her.

A sinister hunger lurked within them.

The look was enough to make anyone uncomfortable.

Zong Huaiyu coughed awkwardly and forced a smile.

“Young Master Fu, please sit.”

Fu Boda gracefully lowered himself onto the sofa.

He handed Zong Huaiyu a cigarette and even struck a match to light it for him.

“Uncle Zong, I spoke with my uncle about your factory.”

“The problem isn’t serious.”

Before Zong Huaiyu could celebrate, Fu Boda suddenly changed the subject.

“As for what you promised me…”

He left the sentence unfinished.

His meaningful gaze said everything.

Zong Huaiyu nearly choked on his cigarette.

Patting his chest, he quickly reassured him.

“Young Master Fu, don’t worry.”

“I’ll deliver her to you very soon.”

“I’m already working on her ideological education.”

“I understand.”

Fu Boda nodded repeatedly.

Then he glanced around before secretly handing over a small bottle.

“It doesn’t need to be that complicated.”

“Find a way to get Comrade Shen to drink this.”

“I’ll personally go upstairs later and have a little conversation with her.”

“What do you think?”

Zong Huaiyu rubbed the bottle thoughtfully.

Then a wicked grin spread across his face.

“Ah, old age really is catching up to me.”

“You young people certainly have better ideas.”

After he left, Fu Boda lit another cigarette.

Leaning back on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, he surveyed the Shen residence like a man inspecting his future property.

A chuckle escaped him.

“The Shen family…”

“Their ancestors must’ve been burning some excellent incense.”

Meanwhile…

Shen Youchu was busy inside her space.

She was digging irrigation channels, intending to divert the spirit spring’s water toward the fields surrounding the Golden Hall.

Just then—

Knock. Knock.

Someone was knocking on her bedroom door.

At first she intended to ignore it.

But the visitor was astonishingly persistent.

Finally, she tossed aside her hoe and left the space.

Opening the door, she was initially annoyed.

That annoyance eased slightly when she saw Aunt Yang standing there.

“Need something?”

“Oh, nothing important.”

Aunt Yang smiled nervously.

“I made some ginseng tea for you.”

Her eyes kept darting away.

She couldn’t even maintain eye contact.

One glance was enough for Shen Youchu.

Years of military experience had taught her to read people.

Something was wrong.

She stepped aside.

“Fine. Leave it there.”

Aunt Yang hesitated.

Then she raised the teacup slightly.

“Miss, the temperature is perfect right now.”

“It won’t taste good after it gets cold.”

“You should drink it while it’s fresh.”

Shen Youchu smiled.

Without replying, she sat before her dressing table.

Then she tilted her head back and opened her mouth.

“Sure.”

“Come in.”

“Pour it directly into my mouth.”

“…Huh?”

Aunt Yang looked genuinely startled.

“Miss, I…”

Still holding the pose, Shen Youchu glanced at her.

“Something you want to tell me?”

Aunt Yang quickly shook her head.

Then she obediently brought the tea over and poured it into Shen Youchu’s mouth.

The moment the liquid entered her mouth, Shen Youchu used her spatial ability to transfer every drop into her storage space.

Not a single sip was swallowed.

After wiping her lips, she looked back at Aunt Yang.

“Anything else?”

“Miss, I…”

Again, Aunt Yang hesitated.

But in the end, she said nothing.

Taking the cup, she quietly left.

Watching the door close, Shen Youchu let out a cold laugh.

“The original owner really was pitiful.”

“Not a single decent person around her.”

Good thing she’d never completely trusted Aunt Yang.

The original owner’s innocent memories clearly weren’t reliable.

Still…

Now that she knew the maid wasn’t loyal, future plans would be much easier.

Shen Youchu stretched out comfortably on the bed.

She didn’t overthink it.

Instead, she simply waited.

Patiently.

Quietly.

Ready to watch whatever farce this family had prepared next.

Outside, Zong Huaiyu had been secretly observing from the hallway.

The moment Aunt Yang emerged, he rushed over.

“Well?”

“Did she drink it?”

Aunt Yang opened the lid of the cup and nodded.

“Yes, Master.”

“Miss finished it.”

“I personally fed it to her.”

“Excellent!”

Zong Huaiyu nearly jumped with joy.

He slapped his thigh and hurried downstairs.

By the time he reached the living room, he had already adopted a calm, dignified expression.

“Young Master Fu.”

“She drank it.”

“Be gentle with her.”

“Don’t be too rough.”

Fu Boda’s eyes instantly lit up.

Greed practically dripped from his expression.

He loosened his collar.

“Uncle—”

“No.”

“My father-in-law.”

“My wonderful father-in-law.”

“Don’t worry.”

“I’ll take very good care of her.”

He immediately started rushing upstairs.

But Zong Huaiyu grabbed him again.

“My good son-in-law.”

“The matter with my factory…”

Fu Boda impatiently wiped the corner of his mouth.

Then he pushed Zong Huaiyu’s hand away and patted his shoulder.

“Don’t worry.”

“Your son-in-law will make sure you’re protected.”

Zong Huaiyu grinned from ear to ear.

But he still stopped him again.

“My good son-in-law.”

“Wait, wait.”

“No need to rush.”

This time Fu Boda’s patience finally snapped.

“What now?”

Zong Huaiyu moved closer and lowered his voice conspiratorially.

“Don’t be angry.”

“You’re both young people.”

“It’s not exactly convenient to do these things in this house, is it?”

“My two unmarried daughters are still upstairs.”

“Why not take her somewhere else?”

“That way you can enjoy yourself properly.”

Fu Boda pointed at him and burst out laughing.

“Ha!”

“Old ginger really is spicier.”

“Father-in-law, you understand.”

“Fine.”

“My uncle happens to own a vacant private residence nearby.”

“He never uses it.”

“And I just happen to have the key.”

“Take her there.”

He handed over the key and gave him the address.

Then, saying he needed to prepare a few things, he left excitedly.

Zong Huaiyu twirled the key between his fingers.

Then his sharp gaze landed on Aunt Yang, who had been silently standing in the corner the entire time.

“What are you still standing there for?”

“Go upstairs and bring her down.”
