“You are so busy every day, how do you even have time to date?”

“Why didn’t I know?”

“Why haven’t I ever seen them?”

Ever since Bo Chengjing dropped that sentence in the car, Shen Zhinian had remained silent the entire way. Afterward, as soon as they finished dinner, he launched into this barrage of questions.

Seeing how desperately eager Shen Zhinian was to find out, Bo Chengjing, driven purely by his merciful nature, chose not to answer him.

Since Shen Zhinian’s military training closing ceremony ended on Saturday morning, leaving him with half a day off along with the weekend ahead, he followed Bo Chengjing to the company after lunch.

Jingnian Group.

A conglomerate that wasn’t particularly shrouded in mystery, yet struck terror into the hearts of many.

The boss was only in his twenties and ran legitimate businesses, but rumors claimed the power behind this group reached the heavens.

Thus, everyone feared it.

Arriving at the company entrance, Shen Zhinian glanced up at the building.

Bo Chengjing drove straight into the underground parking lot.

From the parking garage to the office.

The moment they stepped into the working area, secretaries and assistants hurried over. They greeted Shen Zhinian before beginning their work debriefing with Bo Chengjing.

Bo Chengjing raised a hand, signaling Shen Zhinian to wait in his office.

Instead of moving, Shen Zhinian stood right there on the sidelines, listening in.

Seeing him stay put, Bo Chengjing turned his head toward him.

The secretary and assistant immediately fell silent.

Shen Zhinian asked, “What? You won’t let me listen? Is it classified?”

Bo Chengjing chuckled. “I am heading into a meeting. Coming?”

Shen Zhinian nodded.

Bo Chengjing handed the folder in his hand to the secretary and led him toward the conference room.

The assistant pushed open the conference room door from the front.

Both sides of the long conference table were already filled with people waiting for Bo Chengjing.

Seeing him walk in, everyone stood up.

Bo Chengjing and Shen Zhinian walked inward together. “Have a seat, everyone.”

Though he said that, no one sat down. The assistant carried a chair from the back, following right behind them.

When Bo Chengjing reached the front, the assistant placed the chair beside him.

After Bo Chengjing and Shen Zhinian sat down, everyone else took their seats.

The secretary and assistant sat on either side.

The meeting’s main topic of discussion was the introduction of a new Omega blocker into foreign markets.

Aside from company personnel, laboratory staff were also in attendance.

Everyone discussed things earnestly, analyzing the pros and cons thoroughly while proposing solutions to overcome the drawbacks.

Bo Chengjing listened with equal seriousness.

Shen Zhinian sat beside him, listening quietly for a while before turning his head to look at Bo Chengjing.

Actually, Bo Chengjing’s features were not sharp; resting on a foundation of refined facial traits, there was a touch of softness.

His eyes slightly resembled phoenix eyes, the outer corners occasionally turning reddish.

Ignoring his icy, blade-like aura and looking purely at his appearance…

Shen Zhinian evaluated him internally: Very pretty, with red lips and white teeth, much prettier than that Omega from noon.

He was a pretty Alpha.

Yet his aura was impossible to ignore.

Take right now, for instance—he felt as though the entire conference room was enveloped under Bo Chengjing’s immense oppressive presence.

Bo Chengjing listened, interjecting with a few words from time to time. After a while, he turned his gaze to Shen Zhinian, who had been staring at him the whole time.

Shen Zhinian didn’t dodge his gaze, meeting his eyes openly and brightly.

Bo Chengjing looked at him for a moment, calmly averted his gaze, and resumed listening to the discussion.

Shen Zhinian watched for a little longer before turning his attention to the secretary sitting nearby.

Bo Chengjing’s secretary was a female Omega.

She was formidable, exceptionally talented at her job, had been with the company for two or three years, and was a genuinely wonderful person—considerate, warm, yet intensely serious while working.

Alphas had ranks, and Omegas and Betas had ranks as well.

Social status was not divided by rank, nor was it divided by gender.

Yet the strong always seemed to live a smoother life…

Physically, however, Alphas and Omegas would always possess inherent differences in strength and weakness.

Consequently, Omegas received greater protection under the law.

Shen Zhinian picked up a blank sheet of paper from the loose-leaf notebook beside the secretary’s hand.

Sensing his movement, the secretary sister turned her head, smiled at him, and handed him a pen.

Shen Zhinian nodded, took it, scribbled a few words on the paper, and slowly slid it over to Bo Chengjing’s side.

Bo Chengjing waited for a staff member to finish speaking before lowering his head to take a glance.

Written on the paper was:

[When on earth did you fall in love?! Is it someone from the company?!]

Bo Chengjing: “…”

He took a look, his expression unchanged, and raised his head to continue discussing with the group.

Shen Zhinian had hoped to glean some clues from his expression, but his face showed zero change—he couldn’t read anything at all.

Shen Zhinian leaned back in his chair, stretched out his legs, and surveyed everyone in the conference room.

Could it really be someone from the company?

He was so busy every day that he could only see his lover at the office.

Who could it be?

The meeting lasted for nearly three hours, to the point where Shen Zhinian grew so bored he ended up listening to the entire meeting content and understanding it quite clearly.

Emerging from the conference room and returning to the office, the secretary soon returned carrying a stack of documents, all requiring Bo Chengjing’s signature.

There were also numerous emails needing his confirmation.

“Should I have the driver take you back?” Bo Chengjing asked Shen Zhinian.

“Not going back,” Shen Zhinian said. “Going back means nothing to do, just as boring. Might as well stay here.”

“Alright,” Bo Chengjing said. “Then entertain yourself.”

“Brother,” Shen Zhinian walked up to the desk, leaned forward to close the distance between them, and looked right into his eyes. “Are you having an office romance?”

Bo Chengjing looked at him. They were so close that he could clearly see every single one of Shen Zhinian’s well-defined eyelashes.

His slender eyes, deep eye sockets, and narrow double eyelids gave him a rather aggressive gaze, yet right now, as he looked at Bo Chengjing, he carried a well-behaved, almost innocent vibe.

Shen Zhinian was waiting very earnestly for his answer.

Bo Chengjing raised a hand and flicked him on the forehead. “Work hours. Private questions will not be answered.”

Shen Zhinian: “…”

Having failed to get an answer, Shen Zhinian was extremely unhappy.

Thus, Bo Chengjing’s weekend played out like this:

At night when getting ready for bed, Shen Zhinian suddenly walked up to the side of the bed and asked, “When did you fall in love?”

In the morning, the moment he stepped into the bathroom near the toilet bowl, Shen Zhinian pushed the door open with a stray tuft of hair sticking up on his head. With his eyes not yet fully open, he mumbled dazedly, “Who are you dating?”

Bo Chengjing was startled, nearly dropping it on his hand…

In the morning while handling work in the study, Young Master Shen—having finally woken up fully—pushed open the door and demanded, “When on earth did you fall in love?”

Bo Chengjing was checking emails and talking on the phone, keeping it on speakerphone and placing the mobile device beside him.

Hearing Shen Zhinian’s voice, the person on the other end fell silent for a moment before saying, “Little Niannian, did you miss your sister?”

Hearing that voice, Shen Zhinian darkened his face and slammed the door shut.

Even worse, during Bo Chengjing’s rare weekend afternoon nap, upon waking up, he discovered Shen Zhinian squatting right beside the bed and staring at him.

Seeing him open his eyes, Bo Chengjing froze for a moment before reacting.

Shen Zhinian was holding an unsharpened knife, placing it right next to Bo Chengjing’s neck as he asked coldly, “Do you want to live?”

Bo Chengjing chuckled, turning his head to check the time on the bedside table—he had been asleep for nearly three hours. “How long have you been here?”

Without answering, Shen Zhinian said, “If you want to live, obediently answer my question: who on earth are you dating?”
