Xiao Yu naturally sensed the oppressive killing intent.
He quickly knelt on one knee, clasped his fists, and shouted, "Master! When I was escaping yesterday, I picked up two of my senior brothers' storage pouches. This is all I have... Please, Master, accept it with a smile!"
As he spoke, he took out the two storage pouches.
Elder Wu, seeing Xiao Yu's behavior, waved his hand impatiently.
"I don't want your worthless trinkets. Go to the back and grind the alchemical ingredients. I'm going out for a while!"
With that, Elder Wu released his jade gourd and flew away.
Xiao Yu, with a smile on his face, saluted. Only after Elder Wu disappeared did he breathe a sigh of relief.
Most likely, that old bastard went to find new materials for human pills again, sparing his life for now.
Recalling the reward for the previous herb-gathering task, it seemed to be a human pill?
Could that task have been issued by Elder Wu?
To be safe, he decided to obediently grind the alchemical ingredients.
But he couldn't tell the herbs apart at all. Looking at the piles of ingredients, he turned to Bai Yue in the Judgment Chamber for help.
When Bai Yue heard that Xiao Yu had been caught and brought back to the Sect of Harmonious Union, her face turned dark. "You couldn't even escape? What use are you to me?!"
Xiao Yu, irritated, slapped her again. "Are you still going on about this?"
Bai Yue was just about to plead for mercy and admit her mistake.
Xiao Yu then...
***
Half an hour later...
Xiao Yu looked at the speechless Bai Yue and said again, "That person is gone, and the situation is not optimistic. If I don't finish grinding the herbs before he returns, he might use me as an ingredient!"
At this point, Bai Yue didn't hold back. "I'm a third-grade alchemist! I'll teach you! You must take me with you if you get the chance. If the experts of the Sect of Harmonious Union find out, you definitely won't be able to keep me..."
Xiao Yu chuckled softly, "Of course, I can't bear to leave you behind, Sect Master Bai~ Teach me alchemy well, and later, I need to find your disciple Ye Zhirou for revenge!"
Now, the two of them were truly in the same boat.
However, Xiao Yu didn't dare to release Bai Yue. He had seen how keen Elder Wu's nose was.
He could only describe the appearance and taste of the herbs himself, then activate the communication function of the Judgment Chamber so that Bai Yue inside could hear the outside happenings.
To teach him!
"This is Dark Yin Grass, sort it out and place it in a cool place!"
"The fragrance in the throat, this should be Alluring Fragrance Grass, put it in a wooden box to prevent the scent from leaking!"
Xiao Yu's nerves were constantly tense.
He was learning very seriously, afraid of making a mistake.
Just as he was fully focused on grinding, he suddenly heard some strange noises coming from the storage hall behind him.
Bai Yue in the Judgment Chamber also heard the sound.
And she felt the sound was somewhat familiar?
Xiao Yu originally didn't want to meddle.
He just wanted to grind the herbs.
Bai Yue listened intently, and after confirming several times, her voice trembled, "Lian'er? Is it Lian'er?"
She stood up with great anticipation, "Quick... go and take a look! It should be my disciple Hua Lian!"
Xiao Yu was immediately unwilling, "Do I dare to wander around now? If that old fellow discovers us, we're done for..."
Bai Yue, hearing the sound, began to plead, "I, Bai Yue, have never begged anyone in my life... That must be my poor disciple, I beg you to help her... I... I'm willing to teach you alchemy! I'll teach you immortal cultivation, please help Lian'er..."
Xiao Yu looked around, clearly unwilling to go.
But just then, the system suddenly chimed in.
[Detected a new Vicious Maiden, please proceed to unlock the task!]
Xiao Yu immediately stood up, another one?
Following the sound to the storage hall at the back.
Xiao Yu's expression instantly turned uneasy. This story is hosted at g.com.
Before he even entered, he smelled a scent of blood...
A very foul and pungent scent of blood.
Walking into the storage hall, his eyes turned cold.
Right in front of him were more than a dozen large medicine vats, each exuding a strange medicinal smell.
At that moment, he suddenly saw a woman in a blue robe and long skirt hanging on the wall in front.
The woman's face was like jade, her skin fair and beautiful.
Her curves were as graceful as a work of art!
[Detected a new Vicious Maiden!]
[Name] Hua Lian
[Age] 18
[Cultivation Base] Foundation Establishment Stage, Level 4 (Abolished)
[Appearance] Looks 97 points, height 172cm, weight 97 pounds
[Aptitude] Supreme Ice Spirit Root.
[Personality] Unreasonable, arrogant, extremely concerned about her reputation, willing to kill innocents for her reputation, admires the immortal seedlings of the great righteous cultivation clans.
[Background] Chief Senior Disciple of the Jade Maiden Sect, candidate for the next Saintess of the Righteous Path, orphan.
[Activate the task to judge the Vicious Maiden Hua Lian, ensure her life safety, and unlock the second Judgment Chamber after completing the task to judge Bai Yue! Each Judgment Chamber can only accommodate one person!]
Xiao Yu slowly looked up and saw that the woman's facial features were covered in blood.
The corners of her eyes, mouth, and nose!
All covered in blood!
However, the people who tried to kill him yesterday didn't seem to include this woman.
Xiao Yu looked at Hua Lian's condition and said in a low voice, "Could she have been fed the Phoenix-Imprisoning Pill by Elder Wu? If she doesn't find a man... it might burn her blood until she dies!"
Although Bai Yue couldn't see the outside.
But based on her years of intuition, she could vaguely guess what was outside.
"What... what's beside you?"
Xiao Yu looked at the more than a dozen medicine vats and instinctively swallowed, "Your disciple's collarbone is hooked by two steel hooks, just hanging on the wall. The Phoenix-Imprisoning Pill seems to have been active for a long time, if not treated soon, she might die...
Beside her are more than a dozen large medicine vats... your disciple's blood is flowing onto the ground, towards those vats..."
Bai Yue trembled uncontrollably upon hearing this.
She could roughly guess what was in those vats...
Opposite, Hua Lian twisted violently upon hearing a man's voice.
She frantically pulled at the steel hooks on her body, blood gushing out.
Xiao Yu watched this scene, terrified, "Don't move!! If you keep moving, you'll die!"
Hua Lian seemed deaf, hysterically screaming in Xiao Yu's direction.
In the Judgment Chamber, Bai Yue shouted in despair, "Help her... help my disciple! Quickly..."
Xiao Yu frowned at her words, thought for a moment, and decided to act.
***
Half an hour later.
Hua Lian struggled to open her eyes.
Feeling the excruciating pain of the steel hooks piercing her body.
She hadn't even noticed what Xiao Yu had done to her.
Seeing her calm down, Xiao Yu quickly followed Bai Yue's instructions to find a Hemostasis Pill.
Missing one, Elder Wu probably wouldn't notice, right?
"Don't move, take this Hemostasis Pill!"
Xiao Yu said as he brought the pill over.
Upon seeing Xiao Yu, Hua Lian's face twisted.
"Demonic Path scoundrel! Damned lecher—! How dare you... how dare you..."
She kicked out, but was caught by the steel hooks.
[Detected that Vicious Maiden Hua Lian is ungrateful, the host risked saving her, yet she attacked the host, Sin Value increased to 15%!]
Xiao Yu couldn't be bothered to explain.
He forcefully shoved the Hemostasis Pill into her mouth.
With her cultivation base abolished, Hua Lian was no match for Xiao Yu.
She coughed and swallowed the Hemostasis Pill.
In the Judgment Chamber, Bai Yue shouted in panic, "Lian'er? Quickly tell her not to move, think of a way! Tell her I sent you!"
Xiao Yu had learned his lesson, the system only gave him tasks, without considering his safety.
He certainly couldn't just save her like that!
He couldn't accommodate her now, each Judgment Chamber could only hold one person, he had to judge Bai Yue first to get a second chamber.
Moreover, to take in Hua Lian, he had to raise her Sin Value to 100%!
Bai Yue could be taken in directly because of the system's initial reward.
Xiao Yu immediately rejected Bai Yue's suggestion, "Don't be stupid! What if she betrays us?"
Bai Yue panicked, "No! My disciple won't harm you... I watched her grow up!"
Xiao Yu laughed coldly, "I don't want to take any more risks, who knows if she'll betray us to save herself. I can only help your disciple this much! I need to go grind the herbs!"
Xiao Yu said as he closed the storage hall door.
Inside, Hua Lian kept cursing.
Her shouts echoed endlessly.
Xiao Yu went on to grind all the herbs.
Not only that, he cleaned the alchemy room.
To survive, he had to please that old fellow.
Thinking it over, he decided to cook in the boiler room.
Might as well show off some modern cooking skills?
If Elder Wu enjoyed the food, maybe he wouldn't kill him?
He started the stove, heating oil.
In the Judgment Chamber, Bai Yue looked despondent.
She began to recall the first time she met Hua Lian, when she was just a little child.
She had picked her out from a pile of dead bodies in the mortal world.
She always treated Hua Lian like a daughter, nurturing her.
"Master! Lian'er will become an outstanding cultivator like you in the future! Admired by all!"
Bai Yue's face was blank as she recalled the past.
If she hadn't trusted her second disciple, their Jade Maiden Sect wouldn't have been ambushed.
She always saw Lian'er as her daughter.
She knew that the reason Lian'er hadn't chosen to end her life might be because she wanted to avenge her...
Everyone thought she was dead.
But now, how could she face them?
She was in agony...
Just then, she seemed to smell a fragrance from outside.
Such delicious food!
Although it smelled wonderful, she had no appetite.
She only wanted to save Hua Lian.
Listening to the sounds of cooking outside, Bai Yue trembled as she pleaded, "Help... help Lian'er! You at least took her Primordial Yin... don't be so heartless... If you save my disciple, I... I'm willing to teach you the cultivation method..."
Before she could finish, a sudden shout came from outside, "Where's the alchemy room staff? Elder Wu is in trouble! Quickly, someone!!!"
