Xiao Yu was momentarily stunned upon hearing the news. He stood up, hardly daring to believe it.
He looked at the two people approaching him with a puzzled expression.
As soon as they saw Xiao Yu, they shouted in a panic, "Elder Wu was ambushed by the Profound Spirit Sect while on duty and fell on Riverflow Mountain! Are you Elder Wu's disciple?"
Xiao Yu instinctively nodded, "Yes... yes! I am Elder Wu's direct disciple, Xiao Yu. What do you need?"
The leader of the two exhaled with some difficulty, "Since you are Elder Wu's disciple, the Alchemy Room of our Sect of Harmonious Union's Riverflow Branch is now under your charge! The Sect Leader has gone to the east to establish a new branch, and Elder Zhang will be in charge here! Elder Zhang will arrive tomorrow. The war is urgent, and you must hand over a hundred Hemostasis Pills, twenty Marrow-Cleansing Pills, and fifty Bliss Pills by noon tomorrow!"
"The task has been delivered. Make sure to hand over the required elixirs by noon tomorrow!"
Xiao Yu was dumbfounded, "Wait a minute? That's too much! The time is too short!"
The person replied irritably, "It's no use telling us! Elder Wu must have left a stockpile of elixirs. Figure it out yourself; the new Elder Zhang is not to be trifled with!"
With that, the two hurriedly flew away, afraid of being implicated by Xiao Yu.
After hesitating for three seconds, Xiao Yu quickly spoke to Bai Yue in the Judgment Chamber, "Good news! Elder Wu is dead! We can save your disciple! Bad news, another elder is coming tomorrow, and we probably can't escape. You're a third-grade alchemist; even without magical power, you can still make some first-grade elixirs, right?"
Upon hearing this, Bai Yue's expression suddenly became excited. The thought of being able to save her disciple made her forget everything else.
She quickly stood up, "If they're all first-grade elixirs, it shouldn't be a problem!"
Xiao Yu was overjoyed and quickly closed all the doors and windows.
Then he released Bai Yue, and to be safe, he even changed her into men's clothing.
"You start refining! I'll go rescue your disciple! And see if there are any treasures here!"
Bai Yue felt anxious when Xiao Yu said he would leave her alone.
She feared Xiao Yu would abandon her, and she couldn't see anything now...
What if someone came?
Seeing her expression, Xiao Yu thought for a moment and then brought her into the Judgment Chamber, "It's okay, refining elixirs can wait. Let's see what's here first; maybe Elder Wu left some elixirs!"
After saying that, Xiao Yu left and quickly went to the Storage Hall, where he released Bai Yue.
Bai Yue didn't hesitate for a moment and quickly stepped forward, "Lian'er... is that you?"
Hua Lian's eyes trembled upon hearing this, "Master? Master... your eyes..."
Seeing Bai Yue's eyes covered with a blindfold, Hua Lian's nose tingled with emotion.
Bai Yue quickly said, "This person is a friend of your master... Master can't see, and my cultivation base is gone, but don't be afraid, Lian'er. Master will find a way to take you away! But now is not the time..."
Hua Lian glanced at Xiao Yu, who was searching for things, and then looked back at Bai Yue.
Overwhelmed with emotion, she burst into tears.
She then looked around at the medicine vats, tears streaming down again, "Junior sisters... junior sisters..."
The master and disciple embraced and cried.
Bai Yue, with a pained expression, removed the steel hook from Hua Lian and fed her a Hemostasis Pill.
Meanwhile, Xiao Yu was examining the items in the Storage Hall.
Most of it was firewood, food, medicinal herbs, and tools.
There were no treasures.
Xiao Yu quickly turned his attention to the bedroom, which was Elder Wu's residence.
After glancing back at Bai Yue and Hua Lian, he walked towards Elder Wu's room.
Pushing the door open, he was immediately delighted.
Hemostasis Pills, Marrow-Cleansing Pills, Detoxification Pills, Bliss Pills, Meridian-Opening Pills, and more, almost all first-grade elixirs.
He only needed thirty more Hemostasis Pills for tomorrow's handover!
Xiao Yu continued to search.
This room was more of a study than a bedroom.
Upon entering, the walls were lined with towering bookshelves filled with a vast collection of ancient texts.
By the window was a redwood long table, complete with the Four Treasures of the Study, exuding a fragrant ink scent.
Calligraphy and paintings hung on the walls, the brushstrokes vigorous and bold.
The room was elegantly and simply furnished, with a whitehide drum quietly placed in a corner.
After examining it, he stored the whitehide drum in his storage pouch.
He searched through every drawer and finally found a storage pouch in a jade box.
It didn't look as high-end as the one Elder Wu carried.
Opening it, he found:
"The Complete Harmonious Union Technique," "Alchemy Arts," "Yin-Yang Life-Borrowing Art," an old alchemy furnace, five Immobilization Talismans, and a Jade Gourd.
When Xiao Yu saw the Jade Gourd, he immediately recalled the scene during the sect's lottery when Elder Wu used a gourd artifact to release a group of female cultivators.
He picked up the fist-sized Jade Gourd to examine it.
As soon as he touched it, he felt a cool, refreshing sensation, along with an indescribable sense of pleasure.
Just holding the gourd felt like holding a jade hand.
Upon closer inspection, he saw three small characters: Jade Maiden Gourd.
Xiao Yu naturally guessed its purpose; it was a discarded low-grade auxiliary magical artifact of Elder Wu's.
Its attack and defense capabilities were average.
But it could absorb living beings.
The elder probably had something better, so he put away this low-grade Jade Maiden Gourd.
Xiao Yu looked at the gourd, his eyes gleaming.
He guessed Bai Yue had already said something to Hua Lian.
Thinking of this, Xiao Yu clenched his fists with a serious expression.
Better be cautious.
Otherwise, he might be killed by this master-disciple pair...
Looking at the Alchemy Room before him, maybe he shouldn't leave?
Elder Wu was dead, and this was the perfect place for cultivation!
Now he was the sole person in charge of the Alchemy Room, and Mei Chunlan wouldn't dare trouble him!
Moreover, he now had the complete Harmonious Union Technique; after comprehending it, he could cultivate with Bai Yue!
In less than half a month, he could definitely break through to the Qi Refining Stage.
Then he could use magical artifacts!
To be safe, he should also learn the Alchemy Arts!
At least become a first-grade alchemist.
With the added advantage of a secondary profession, the Sect of Harmonious Union would regard him more highly.
Stabilize and develop first!

Once he subdues Bai Yue, getting her to write a letter to lure Ye Zhirou over would be a matter of minutes.
Thinking of this, Xiao Yu hid Elder Wu's storage pouch in his clothes.
Then, taking a separate storage pouch, he put the elixirs in it and headed towards the Storage Hall.
In front of the Storage Hall, he saw Bai Yue talking to Hua Lian.
Hua Lian was looking around, her face filled with resentment.
Xiao Yu chuckled as he walked in, "I only found these elixirs; that old fellow must have carried all the valuable things with him! You might still need to refine some elixirs!"
After saying that, Xiao Yu took out the elixirs from the storage pouch one by one.
Hua Lian, filled with grief, supported Bai Yue as they walked forward.
Xiao Yu glanced up and then whispered, "It was your master who asked me to save you! We are all cultivators; some things don't need to be taken to heart!"
Your master should have told you about the current situation; we're in the Alchemy Room of the Sect of Harmonious Union, and it's likely we can't escape!
A new elder will arrive tomorrow, and if I can't produce the elixirs, I might be held accountable!
As long as I'm here, you two won't be discovered. You understand the principle of lips and teeth depending on each other!"
Hua Lian nodded, "Thank you... for saving my life, Daoist friend. Hua Lian is deeply grateful!"
She said it, but didn't bow.
Xiao Yu knew she looked down on him as a member of the Demonic Path.
Are all righteous women so proud?
Looking at the two of them, Xiao Yu smiled kindly, "Shall we go refine elixirs, Miss Bai? Come on, you teach me!"
Hua Lian smiled slightly, "Thank you, Daoist Xiao, for saving me. My master and I will remember this great kindness. I'll take care of the elixir refining! No need for Daoist Xiao to trouble himself..."
Xiao Yu's lips curled slightly; he knew these two women were up to something.
He glanced at Bai Yue, who had shared hardships with him, and now, after saving her disciple, she was plotting?
Heh... women!
Is this what women are like?
What are they planning?
Do they want to occupy this place to refine elixirs and heal?
Wait until she recovers her cultivation base, then run away?
Do they plan to kill him to silence him?
It's highly possible...
After all, she's a Saintess of the Righteous Path, and he's just a Demonic Path nobody. She surely looks down on someone like him!
"I thought about it, and it's too risky to have you two refining elixirs outside! If someone from the Sect of Harmonious Union suddenly comes, it'll be trouble! So! Bai Yue, you should stay in my magical artifact! Miss Hua, you can help me refine elixirs outside!"
Hua Lian nervously gripped Bai Yue's arm.
After a moment of thought, Bai Yue agreed.
Xiao Yu had Hua Lian turn her head, then raised his hand to store Bai Yue away.
Inside the Judgment Chamber, Bai Yue's voice was gentle, "You don't have magical power now, so refining elixirs is quite difficult. You can only use spirit stones and mortal flame to refine elixirs!
And the process has to be manual, so you'll likely only produce flawed first-grade elixirs!
To refine slightly flawed or flawless first-grade elixirs, you need to be at least at the fifth level of the Qi Refining Stage!"
Xiao Yu nodded slightly, "Alright! Let's start refining! There are only two hours until sunset! Time is tight..."
