Yin Shiyu said to him, “I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

Jiang Chuanzhi laughed: “I don’t need to go to class with you guys, I’m going to the lab building.”

“Go on, you genius, I’m in a hurry to educate Xiaoyu.” After Chen Yanjing finished speaking, he glared at Yin Shiyu.Full novel: The Cold School Heartthrob Forces Me to Mark Him — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“What’s wrong?” Yin Shiyu asked him.

Chen Yanjing said, “It’s like a peacock displaying its tail feathers.”

“No, I don’t like him anyway,” Yin Shiyu said. “There’s no need.”

“Yes, yes, I won’t say anyone’s in a courtship state,” Chen Yanjing said. “You’re one thing, but what does Jiang Chuanzhi mean? He’s not really curious about how you got second to last place, is he?”

“It was my superb scoring skills that amazed him,” Yin Shiyu said. “We’re like kindred spirits.”

Chen Yanjing said, “He even asked you if you got the score, maybe he thinks you got it all through family connections.”

“Jiang Chuanzhi wouldn’t do that…” Yin Shiyu said, “I’ve never heard of his family.”

“Regardless of his family, he himself is quite strong. Joining his family will guarantee you a bright future.”

Yin Shiyu asked him, “What’s all this about?”

“Seriously consider your future,” Chen Yanjing said. “Life is so long, how can you not consider the future?”

Chen Yanjing raised an eyebrow.

“Do you find it annoying to be with me every day?”

“How could that be?”

“Then it’s fine, isn’t it good that we’re like this, brothers?” Yin Shiyu asked him.

Chen Yanjing glanced at him, but ultimately said nothing more.

Yin Shiyu was completely oblivious; explaining it to him was useless, he had to wait for him to understand on his own.

However, Yin Shiyu wasn’t blind, and of course he could see the hidden meaning in Chen Yanjing’s actions and expressions.

“I wonder what you’re doing all day long,” Yin Shiyu said, “looking like something terrible has happened to me.”

“Not much different,” Chen Yanjing said, “I wonder if Jiang Chuanzhi is an Alpha.”

“How come you only know about Jiang Chuanzhi all day long?”

Chen Yanjing said, “Maybe because Jiang Chuanzhi is really good-looking.”

Yin Shiyu could obviously tell that Chen Yanjing was actually hinting at him.

But he didn’t have anything to say.

Yin Shiyu didn’t think anything of it. Twenty minutes into the class, Chen Yanjing and Yin Shiyu were both added to a small group by Jiang Chuanzhi.

The two clicked in and saw several documents that Jiang Chuanzhi had sent.

Normally, Jiang Chuanzhi spends most of his time in the lab, only attending classes half the time.

Yanming Academy is inclusive and diverse; getting in is difficult, and achieving good results is equally challenging, but truly outstanding individuals emerge from within.

Over the years, Yanming has produced numerous excellent graduates, and the number of current students is countless. Many students, even those over three hundred years old, haven’t chosen to graduate.

Chen Yanjing and Yin Shiyu had always planned to do the same.

Once they had accumulated enough credits, they could skip classes, but for the past two years they hadn’t attended many, even rarely going to school. This year, however, they had no choice but to postpone it.

“He’s too strong,”

Chen Yanjing exclaimed after reviewing several documents.

In the interstellar era, many choose to share resources; as long as a reading fee is paid to show support for the original author, everyone can read the content.

However, if used for research, an additional fee is required.

“It’s really impressive,” Yin Shiyu said. “There are a few points I didn’t even think of.”

Chen Yanjing said, “Don’t be too self-deprecating. We have research results ourselves, don’t we?”

Yin Shiyu laughed, “I’m not being self-deprecating.”

Chen Yanjing nodded after hearing this. He had recently felt that Yin Shiyu had some other feelings for Jiang Chuanzhi, so he paid extra attention to these things.

However, Jiang Chuanzhi was indeed exceptionally talented; ordinary people simply couldn’t write such a research topic, let alone analyze it further.

Jiang Chuanzhi was indeed very strong.

He sent them a message asking what they were interested in, and then they could discuss it in detail.

“We’re interested, but we have quite a few classes this semester,” Chen Yanjing asked Yin Shiyu. “What do you think?”

Yin Shiyu thought for a moment, then said, “I haven’t had anything specific to work on lately anyway, so I’ll team up with him.”

Chen Yanjing asked him, “What if we don’t work well with him?”

“I think the project Jiang Chuan wants to do sounds pretty interesting,” said Yin Shiyu. “Anyway, we’re also…”

“Do you have a few minutes to spare?”

Chen Yanjing looked at Yin Shiyu as if, the moment he nodded, he would punch him.

“Isn’t that right?” Yin Shiyu looked at him.

“All right,” Chen Yanjing said. “Let’s just say I’m willing to go to any lengths for my brother’s love.”

Chen Yanjing seemed to have already decided what would happen between him and Jiang Chuan Zhi. Although he didn’t feel that way at all, there was no point in arguing, so he didn’t plan to say anything.

Yin Shiyu felt that Jiang Chuan and he were probably quite different after all.

At least, he doesn’t seem like someone from this world.

In other words, the situation at Yanming College is clear for all to see, which is why so many people are hoping for the best for our college; otherwise, Yin Shiyu feels he’ll never get to meet Jiang Chuanzhi in his lifetime.

“Even if I can’t see him in person, maybe I can see him in a journal.”

Yin Shiyu shook his head, somewhat puzzled as to why he would think about such things.

Surely he couldn’t actually have any romantic feelings, as Chen Yanjing suggested.

Yin Shiyu felt it was unlikely, so he didn’t dwell on it. After the two classes ended, they went to the experimental area together.

“This base is too big. Every time I come here, I want to take an airship,” Yin Shiyu said.

“Evil capitalist,” Chen Yanjing retorted, returning the words he had spoken earlier.

“I didn’t, I didn’t,” Yin Shiyu said. “How can you do experiments without any sincerity?”

Chen Yanjing was too lazy to argue with him; Yin Shiyu was always like this, always finding something else to say.

“I think last time, Jiang Chuanzhi wasn’t here for any simulated combat; he was just here to conduct experiments,” Yin Shiyu suddenly said.

“Oh yeah, your school heartthrob lied to us last time,” Chen Yanjing scoffed. “He really is asexual.”

Yin Shiyu glanced at him but ultimately said nothing more.

It wasn’t for any other reason than that Yin Shiyu genuinely had no intention of saying anything in support of Jiang Chuanzhi. He knew that if he spoke up, Chen Yanjing would surely repeat those same things.

He had no designs on Jiang Chuanzhi.

Yin Shiyu felt that he absolutely had no feelings for Jiang Chuanzhi, and he thought Chen Yanjing couldn’t possibly be unaware of it.

In fact, Chen Yanjing often saw things before him, which was the point of difference yet commonality between the two of them.

Yin Shiyu and Chen Yanjing asked Jiang Chuanzhi where they should meet.

“Actually, I think he should be in the lab.”

Jiang Chuanzhi’s answer was not unexpected, and sure enough, he was in the lab.

“Looks like there’s something that interests you two.” Jiang Chuanzhi had already given this assessment when he met the two of them.

“Did the genius lie to us last time?” Yin Shiyu didn’t say anything else and asked directly.

“No, there was indeed an exercise we wanted to do that day.” Jiang Chuanzhi said, “and we just happened to run into you.”

Yin Shiyu seemed thoughtful: “It seems like we really are destined to meet.”

Chen Yanjing really wanted to say, would he believe everything Jiang Chuanzhi said?

But then he thought, if you’re caught in the whirlpool of emotions, you really won’t have the ability to think clearly.

Yin Shiyu had always thought he was clever and quick-witted, so she figured it would be better to let him experience what it was like now.

Jiang Chuanzhi laughed: “I haven’t asked you which topic you’re interested in yet?”

“It doesn’t matter, I think they’re both fine,” Yin Shiyu said. “Your perspectives are all very interesting.”

Jiang Chuanzhi didn’t particularly enjoy studying theoretical articles; he preferred topics that involved hands-on practice.

Doing experiments seemed to be what he truly enjoyed.

“So, should you two choose one together, or should I choose one?” Jiang Chuanzhi asked before telling them, “I’m open to anything, it mainly depends on what you two want.”

“Then I won’t stand on ceremony, I’ll choose what I want to do,” Chen Yanjing said. “I don’t know when our young master Yin learned to be so reserved.”

“I mainly feel that it’s not right to bother others so readily,” Yin Shiyu said, lowering his head, even a little afraid to look at Jiang Chuanzhi.

Jiang Chuanzhi laughed: “Not at all, if I thought it was troublesome, I wouldn’t have asked in the first place.”

Hearing him say that, Yin Shiyu’s eyes lit up.

Seeing this, Jiang Chuanzhi found it amusing. They weren’t close, but after spending time together several times, a different kind of bond had formed.

They felt they should at least be a little closer to each other, instead of remaining complete strangers.

“Xiaoyu, don’t you think you’ve gone too far?” Chen Yanjing asked.

Yin Shiyu shook her head: “Not at all.”

Just as Jiang Chuanzhi himself said, if he hadn’t had this intention from the beginning, he could have simply not spoken up.

Instead, he spoke up and then changed his mind.

This made him seem unreliable, clumsy, and even irresponsible.

Frankly, judging from the current situation, it seemed like Jiang Chuanzhi was doing charity work no matter who he partnered with.

“It seems like the two of us will only cause trouble for Jiang Chuanzhi, so I think we can just provide emotional support,” Yin Shiyu said. “I’ve completely accepted the fact that I’m a useless person.”

“Don’t worry, you won’t.”

“Look at him, then look at yourself,” Yin Shiyu said to Chen Yanjing. “Why doesn’t he suspect me?”
