Han Yue gently patted her shoulder and said, “Next period is my class. Can you help the teacher bring the textbooks and the little microphone from the office to the classroom?”

Yun Xiang nodded.

She immediately wanted to run to the office, but Han Yue quickly grabbed her arm and smiled helplessly. “No need to rush. Oh, by the way, there are two pieces of chocolate on my desk. You can have them.”Full novel: The Cold School Hunk Goes Crazy Every Day After Reading Minds — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

With that, Han Yue released Yun Xiang’s hand and walked into the restroom stall.

Yun Xiang stood in place, her heart feeling warm.

She used a tissue to wipe the water stains off her face, clutched the slightly damp tissue in her palm, and walked slowly to the office, pushing open the door.

The girl carefully picked up the textbooks and the little microphone, then her gaze paused, landing on the two square pieces of chocolate on the desk.

Red-and-black packaging, printed with an English name she couldn’t understand. They looked delicious.

Yun Xiang swallowed softly.

She hadn’t eaten breakfast this morning.

Since Teacher Han Yue had said so, and she was an obedient student, she had to listen to her teacher.

With that thought, Yun Xiang curved her eyes in delight and happily tucked the chocolate into her pocket.

Entering the classroom, Yun Xiang placed the textbooks and the little microphone in the center of the podium, then returned to her seat.

Class hadn’t started yet, and the teacher hadn’t arrived. Yun Xiang touched the chocolate in her school uniform pocket.

After thinking it over, she still took one out and handed it to Pei Xingche.

“Do you want some chocolate?”

The girl’s voice was soft and gentle, not very loud, but Pei Xingche heard it clearly.

[What what what what what? My wife is offering me chocolate? (Shocked puppy)]

Pei Xingche’s ink-black eyes looked at Yun Xiang. He pressed his thin lips together and said with restraint, “Thanks.”

After speaking, he quickly reached out and took the chocolate, as if afraid Yun Xiang would change her mind.

[Ahhhh! She loves me so much, she even gives me chocolate!]

[Girl, tell me the truth, have you fallen for me? Hmph, I knew it. (Puts on little sunglasses)]

[Don’t try to deny it. I’m alive and you’re alive too—there’s no way that’s a coincidence. You’re secretly crushing on me.]

[And you give me chocolate too—are you hinting at something?]

Yun Xiang: …

Would it be too late to ask for the chocolate back now?

“You—”

Before she could finish the syllable, the class bell rang abruptly.

Han Yue also appeared at the classroom door. Yun Xiang met her eyes and saw her smile at her.

Yun Xiang quickly pulled her thoughts back, shut her mouth, opened her English textbook, and prepared to listen attentively.

She was indeed much more focused and proactive than usual this period—you could tell just from her posture, even with that nagging “weirdo” sitting beside her.

After class, Pei Xingche couldn’t wait to tear open the chocolate wrapper. He’d been thinking about it the whole period, and the smooth wrapper was nearly crumpled from his squeezing.

He took a big bite, and the rich, mellow chocolate flavor filled his mouth. When he bit deeper, he discovered there was actually a layer of liqueur inside.

Fragrant rum, with a rich, layered texture.

But wasn’t the alcohol content a bit high? Otherwise, why did Pei Xingche feel so light-headed?

[Liqueur chocolate, huh. Is Little Snail giving me this as some kind of hint?]

[Could it be that I, like the liqueur center of this chocolate, have captured her heart and left her dizzy with infatuation?]

Yun Xiang couldn’t take it anymore.

She explained, “The chocolate was from Teacher Han.”

So don’t overthink it.

Pei Xingche was somewhat surprised by Yun Xiang’s explanation.

After all, he was still immersed in his own world.

But those were just his thoughts anyway.

“Oh.”

The boy responded, his voice sounding low and deep, making his spirits seem deflated as well.

Even if he hadn’t held out much hope, disappointment still stung when expectations fell through.

This left Yun Xiang in a dilemma.

She could even hear the sound of a little puppy sniffing!

Little Ala drooped his glossy black eyes, looking hurt and wronged, as if he were about to gnaw on a tissue!

Yun Xiang was startled by the scene her imagination had conjured.

She furrowed her brows, her heart a little unsettled.

Then, for some inexplicable reason, she added on a whim, “I only gave it to you.”

Two pieces.

One for myself, one for you.

Sure enough, Pei Xingche’s eyes lit up instantly at those words.

Those simple five words seemed to generate boundless buoyancy, lifting his heart higher and higher until, in the blink of an eye, it was about to break the surface.

“Only gave it to you.”

[Savor it. Savor it carefully.]

[What does “only” mean? It means unique! Doesn’t this prove that I’m the most special existence in Little Snail’s eyes—that I’m her one and only, her exception? Hahahaha (laughing up at the sky)]

[Little Snail really does love me after all. Hehe.]

Yun Xiang: …

She was a little exhausted.

She didn’t even know how to communicate with Pei Xingche anymore.

The girl simply stopped talking, tore open the chocolate wrapper, and put the rich, fragrant chocolate in her mouth.

The alcohol content did seem a bit high—Yun Xiang felt a little dizzy.

But it was very delicious.

The time between classes was always filled with playful noise—those young, tender years, the swaying hems of school uniforms, and endless chatter that seemed to make even the chalk dust beneath the blackboard dance.

But how could the boys and girls of that age possibly understand

that the “one and only” and the “exception” had actually begun long before?

The last class of the morning.

The bell rang like the starting gun of a hundred-meter sprint, and the moment it sounded, the students in the classroom threw themselves into the race with full enthusiasm.

Old Wang watched and shook his head, sighing, “If only you put half that much energy into your studies as you do into eating.”

Then he glanced at the few students who remained seated, a hint of relief in his eyes.

When his gaze landed on Pei Xingche, Old Wang was somewhat surprised. His sparse eyebrows lifted slightly, and he deliberately walked over to Pei Xingche’s desk, quietly peeking over.

He wanted to see what he was studying so intently that he’d forgotten all about food.

On the boy’s desk lay an open math workbook with a few neat, crisp strokes of black ink on it, and right in the center of the workbook sat a small chocolate wrapper.

One that had been torn open.

Old Wang’s expression immediately soured.

So he wasn’t in a hurry to eat because he’d already eaten his fill in class?

“What is this?” He pointed at the wrapper, asking abruptly from behind Pei Xingche.

Pei Xingche hadn’t even noticed that the person speaking was Old Wang. He was still completely immersed in joy and excitement.

His handsome brows arched as he subtly bragged, “Oh, my deskmate gave it to me.”

Even though he tried to restrain himself, his voice still rose at the end.

[HAHAHAHA, I was just looking for someone to show off to!]

[I want to tell the whole world that Little Snail loves me!! Come eat the wedding candy! (happy puppy)]

Yun Xiang: “…”

She bit her lip and looked at Old Wang standing behind Pei Xingche, explaining quietly, “I gave it to him during the break.”

It was during the break after the first period.
