9 – The Class Representatives — Scene 1 – Monday Morning A cool breeze flowed through Sunrise Residency.
Dhruv locked the front door after saying goodbye to Urvi.
He wore his blazer properly today, his black tie perfectly straight.
His short black hair was neatly combed, though a few stubborn strands refused to stay in place.
Outside, Deep was already spinning his school bag with one hand.
“Finally.” “You took forever.” “I was waiting for you.” “No, you weren’t.” “I wasn’t.” Alya arrived a moment later, her silver hair left open today, neatly brushed behind her shoulders.
She looked at Deep’s untucked shirt.
“…Again?” Deep looked down.
“Oh.” “You really don’t notice these things.” She fixed it while Deep stood there smiling like an idiot.
A few seconds later…
Mitsuri stepped out of House No.
11.
Her long pink hair was open again, flowing gently with the morning breeze.
She smiled.
“Good morning.” “Morning.” The four began walking together.
— Scene 2 – Morning Conversations The road to school was filled with students in identical black-and-white uniforms.
Deep stretched lazily.
“If we had one extra holiday…” “I would’ve slept the entire day.” Dhruv laughed.
“You already do.” “I rest professionally.” Alya looked at Mitsuri.
“How was your weekend?” “I cooked pancakes yesterday.” Deep immediately turned around.
“…Why wasn’t I invited?” “You weren’t invited because they were for me.” Everyone looked at Alya.
She smiled proudly.
Deep sighed dramatically.
“My own girlfriend is selfish.” — Scene 3 – New Responsibility In XI-A…
Their class teacher entered carrying a register.
“We need two class representatives.” Immediately…
Half the class looked at Rohan.
The teacher smiled.
“Any nominations?” Kabir raised his hand.
“Rohan.” Several students agreed.
The teacher nodded.
“Good.” “One representative selected.” She looked around again.
“And another?” This time…
A girl raised her hand.
“Dhruv.” Another student nodded.
“I agree.” Soon…
Several voices joined.
“Dhruv.” “Dhruv.” Dhruv blinked.
“…Me?” The teacher smiled.
“You help your classmates.” “You’re responsible.” “What do you say?” Dhruv thought for a moment.
“…I’ll do my best.” The class applauded lightly.
Rohan smiled.
“Looks like we’re partners.” Dhruv smiled back.
“Looks like it.” — Scene 4 – The Corridor During recess…
Dhruv and Rohan carried attendance files to the staff room.
On their way back…
They met Mitsuri.
She smiled.
“Congratulations.” Dhruv looked surprised.
“For what?” “Class representative.” “Oh.” “Thanks.” She tilted her head.
“You don’t seem excited.” “It’s extra work.” She laughed softly.
“Only you would react like that.” For a second…
Dhruv simply watched her laugh.
Then…
He looked away before she noticed.
— Scene 5 – K-Drama Moment School ended.
Dark clouds returned unexpectedly.
Not enough for rain…
Just enough for wind.
The four walked toward the main gate.
A strong gust blew across the road.
Mitsuri’s pink hair danced wildly in the wind.
One loose strand covered her eyes.
She stopped walking, trying to move it away while holding her notebooks.
Before she could…
Dhruv instinctively reached out.
With two fingers…
He gently moved the strand behind her ear.
“…” “…” Both froze.
Dhruv realized what he had done.
He immediately stepped back.
“S-Sorry.” “You couldn’t see.” Mitsuri’s green eyes widened.
A faint blush spread across her cheeks.
“…Thank you.” Deep slowly looked toward Alya.
“…Did you see that?” Without turning her head…
Alya quietly replied, “I saw everything.” Deep bit his lip to stop himself from laughing.
He whispered, “Cinema.” — Scene 6 – The Walk Home The atmosphere became strangely quiet.
Deep deliberately walked a little ahead with Alya.
Leaving the other two behind.
Neither Dhruv nor Mitsuri noticed.
After nearly a minute…
Mitsuri smiled nervously.
“…That wind was really strong.” “Yeah.” Another silence.
Dhruv scratched the back of his neck.
“I acted without thinking.” She looked at him.
“I know.” “It didn’t bother me.” His shoulders relaxed slightly.
“That’s good.” — Scene 7 – Deep’s Celebration As soon as they entered Sunrise Residency…
Deep grabbed Alya’s shoulders dramatically.
“DID YOU SEE THAT?” She gently removed his hands.
“I did.” “He touched her hair.” “He moved one strand.” “IT COUNTS.” Alya couldn’t help laughing.
“You get excited over everything.” “Because small moments become big memories.” She looked toward Dhruv walking into his house.
“…Maybe.” — Scene 8 – Evening Studies Dhruv sat at his desk.
Physics.
Thirty questions.
Question one.
Done.
Question two.
Done.
Question three…
He suddenly remembered…
The softness of that pink strand against his fingers.
He immediately covered his face.
“…Seriously?” He stood up.
Walked to the balcony.
Took a deep breath.
Came back.
“No distractions.” He opened the notebook again.
“…After physics.” — Scene 9 – A Different Kind of Smile In House No.
11…
Mitsuri stood before her mirror.
She slowly brushed her hair.
Then…
She paused.
Without realizing it…
Her fingers stopped exactly where Dhruv had tucked the loose strand behind her ear.
“…” She looked at herself.
Then smiled.
Not a big smile.
Just a small…
Quiet one.
She closed the curtain.
And for the first time since transferring to Ahmedabad…
Her thoughts before sleeping weren’t about adjusting to a new city.
They were about a boy who always seemed focused…
Yet sometimes acted before even thinking.
