The day of the parent-teacher meeting arrived very quickly.

“Su Muzhe, who’s coming to your parent-teacher meeting today? The teacher asked me to collect the list.”

Class monitor Zhou Tong walked over holding the attendance roster.Full novel: The Cultivation Bigshot Transmigrated Into a Wealthy Family’s Mother — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“My mom. Jiang Yao.”

At one meter eighty-five tall, Su Muzhe could clearly see Zhou Tong neatly writing down his and his mother’s names side by side on the sheet—two names that had never appeared together before.

“Auntie’s coming to your parent-teacher meeting?”

Separated by only one aisle, Jin Jiaxin practically stretched his neck like a giraffe.

“What? Got a problem with that?”

Su Muzhe’s expression immediately changed, carrying the intimidating air of a school bully.

“Nope. How would I dare?”

Jin Jiaxin shook his head like a rattling drum.

Su Muzhe looked at the parents coming and going in the distance, wondering whether Jiang Yao would break her promise.

Hopefully, just as she had said, she was trying to mend things before it was too late.

The classroom was noisy and chaotic when suddenly a scream pierced through the commotion.

“Brothers! I just saw a fairy! Holy shit, a real fairy!”

“What happened? What happened?”

“A parent at the school gate almost got hit by a car just now, and suddenly this fairy in blue flew out of nowhere and saved the person! There’s even video proof!”

“No way, seriously?”

Jin Jiaxin muttered excitedly, “Brother Yan, let’s go check it out.”

Su Muzhe lazily lifted his eyelids and glanced at the crowd surging outside.

“Not going.”

“If you won’t go, I will.”

He wanted to see how someone had supposedly become a fairy.

“Come on, let me see!”

Jin Jiaxin squeezed into the middle of the crowd like a fish and dragged the video progress bar back to the beginning.

A familiar figure floated gracefully like a butterfly toward the speeding car and rescued the person in the blink of an eye.

Wasn’t that Auntie Jiang?

Jin Jiaxin rubbed his eyes and replayed the clip from the start again and again two or three times. Only after confirming it himself did he loudly call toward the cold-faced boy staring absentmindedly by the window.

“Brother Yan! Come look! It’s Auntie Jiang!”

The boy frowned and slowly stood up.

The surrounding classmates unconsciously moved aside, opening a path for him.

Jin Jiaxin handed over the phone.

The boy’s long, well-defined fingers took it as he slowly dragged the progress bar, replaying the clip twice before returning the phone.

“Isn’t that Auntie Jiang?” Jin Jiaxin stubbornly asked again.

Even though he already knew the answer, he still wanted confirmation directly from Su Muzhe.

“Auntie Jiang? Your mom?”

The boys around them exclaimed in shock.

What teenage boy did not harbor dreams of martial arts heroes during adolescence?

And now, someone so incredible actually turned out to be the mother of their classmate.

It felt as though a fairy had suddenly descended into the mortal world.

“There’s more!”

The boy holding the phone shouted again.

“What now?”

“Auntie Jiang actually knows medicine too! That lady got so frightened her asthma acted up, and Auntie Jiang pulled silver needles out of her bag and cured her in just a few moves!”

“Holy crap, Brother Yan, your auntie’s amazing! Why have we never heard about this before?”

“My mom really did major in Traditional Chinese Medicine at B University. She also has a medical license.”

“Damn, Brother Yan! It’s like a novel character came to life! Auntie’s talented in both brains and combat!”

Su Muzhe frowned slightly, seemingly growing impatient from all the questions. He pushed through the crowd and returned to his seat.

Irritably, he looked out toward the distant scenery.

That scene just now had stirred complicated emotions inside him.

They had lived together for over ten years, so why did it suddenly feel like he was only getting to know her now?

Having a mother like this made him proud, yet he wanted to be someone who truly understood what his mother was capable of.

Ten minutes later, the classroom gradually quieted down, and most of the parents had already arrived.

Only then did Jiang Yao enter carrying her handbag.

“Look! That’s the heroine from the school gate!”

“I can’t believe her child’s classmates with my son!”

“Whose parent is she? She looks so young!”

“Could she be the child’s older sister?”

“She’s seriously so elegant!”

The moment Jiang Yao entered the classroom, discussions instantly erupted everywhere.

“Mom, over here!”

From afar, Jiang Yao immediately spotted her son towering above the crowd like a crane among chickens as he waved at her.

Following the direction Su Muzhe pointed, she walked over and sat down.

His seat was located in the very last row, occupying two seats by himself. Jiang Yao sat on the inside while Su Muzhe plopped down beside her. The other students uniformly stood behind their chairs.

Jiang Yao looked at the chaotic mess stuffed into the desk drawer and nearly suffered secondhand embarrassment.

This brat.

On the surface, he looked perfectly neat and well-behaved. At home, he never had the habit of throwing things around carelessly.

So why had he become such a mess at school?

Taking advantage of the teacher not arriving yet, Jiang Yao began organizing the drawer packed with test papers and textbooks.

“These exam papers…”

Her fingers brushed across the glaring red scores on the papers, and her brows rose slightly.

Math: 38.

Physics: 42.

English had barely passed.

Every crumpled paper looked like dried pickled vegetables, silently accusing their owner’s violent temper.

Suddenly, a disturbance came from the classroom’s back door.

Ye Qing entered gracefully in ten-centimeter heels, the camellia brooch on her Chanel suit gleaming coldly.

The moment her gaze landed on Jiang Yao, her smile stiffened briefly before she forced a deliberate curve onto her lips.

“Isn’t this Mrs. Su? I heard something rather thrilling happened at the school gate this morning.”

She paused before continuing,

“I never knew Mrs. Su possessed such skills—or such a strong sense of justice. If only you devoted more of that energy toward Su Muzhe, perhaps your child wouldn’t have gotten involved with shady people and made the entire school aware of it.”

The moment Ye Qing finished speaking, whispers immediately spread through the classroom.

“What does she mean by getting involved with shady people? I heard Student Su was helping someone.”

“Yeah, how did it become gang activity when it came out of Lu Sheng’s mother’s mouth?”

Jiang Yao remained silent, inwardly marveling at how effective Su Jingyang’s public relations work had been.

“Auntie, if you don’t know the full story, then please don’t speak carelessly.”

Several hot-blooded boys from the class stepped forward indignantly.

At that moment, a girl in school uniform walked over from somewhere nearby. She looked delicate and fragile, like a little white flower raised in a greenhouse.

“Yes, Auntie. If it weren’t for Su Muzhe, those thugs would’ve kept blocking me.”

“So there was even more to it.”

Jiang Yao had only known that her son went to the bar and nearly got into trouble. She had not known there was such a reason behind it all.

It seemed she really had misunderstood him.

After glancing at the girl, Jiang Yao chuckled softly and turned her gaze toward Ye Qing.

“Mrs. Ye, Traditional Chinese Medicine emphasizes observation, listening, questioning, and pulse diagnosis. The dark circles beneath your eyes and your weak breath suggest you should use fewer cosmetics containing excessive lead.”

What exactly had Ye Qing eaten today?

Or rather, who had given her the confidence to challenge Jiang Yao?

Just two days ago, she had still been flattering her submissively, yet today she dared confront her head-on?

“Mom.”

Lu Sheng hurried over and pulled Ye Qing toward his own seat.

The boy looked fresh and clean-cut, with neat short hair that gave him the image of a bright and sunny young man.

Of course, that was only if one ignored the sinister darkness hidden deep within his eyes.

The fact that he could still appear this way only proved that despite his young age, he already knew extremely well how to hide himself.

She had almost been fooled by him.
