After finishing their Bath and Wearing something presentable, Zephyr and Tiamat made their way through the grand hallways of the Infinity Palace toward its highest level.
There, above countless floating halls and celestial gardens, was the private residence of Ophis Ouroboros.
The journey did not take long.
Soon, they arrived before a pair of enormous obsidian doors engraved with countless golden runes.
The runes glowed faintly, each one containing profound truths about the Laws of Infinity.
Before either of them could knock, the doors slowly opened on their own.
A familiar amused voice drifted out from within.
“Fufu…
looks like the two of you had a very enjoyable Night together.” Stepping inside, Zephyr’s eyes swept across the room.
Unlike the extravagant halls found throughout the palace, Ophis’s chamber possessed a surprisingly warm and comfortable atmosphere.
The room was enormous, larger than many noble palaces, yet it never felt empty.
Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the entirety of the Supreme Realm of Infinity, allowing sunlight to pour into the chamber and illuminate everything in a gentle golden glow.
Bookshelves crafted from white celestial wood lined several walls, holding countless ancient tomes.
A large fireplace burned with silver flames that gave off warmth without consuming any fuel.
Several plush couches and armchairs were arranged throughout the room, while beautiful spirit flowers bloomed in crystal vases placed around the chamber.
The room felt less like the residence of one of the four Divine Immortals and more like the living room of a loving grandmother.
Well…
A loving grandmother who could erase entire Realms if she was angered enough.
At the center of the room sat Ophis herself.
She lounged gracefully upon a plush black couch, one leg crossed over the other.
A table stood before her, already filled with tea, breakfast, and various spiritual delicacies prepared for them.
Her obsidian eyes gleamed with amusement as they landed on Tiamat and Zephyr.
“Fufu…” Her smile widened.
“Judging by the glow on both of your faces, I would say that last night you both went quite wildly at it.” Tiamat immediately flushed.
“Mother!” “Stop teasing us already.” Her embarrassed tone only caused Ophis to chuckle even more.
The Dragon Goddess of Infinity looked entirely too pleased with herself.
Zephyr could only shake his head helplessly.
Some things truly never changed.
Turning toward Ophis, he smiled warmly.
“Good morning, Grandma.” The moment those words left his mouth, Ophis’s expression visibly softened.
The smile on her face became far gentler than before.
“Good morning, my baby boy.” The affection in her voice was impossible to miss.
Anyone seeing the feared Dragon Goddess of Infinity at this moment would never believe she was one of the strongest beings in existence.
To the rest of the universe, she was a legendary existence whose name inspired awe and fear.
To Zephyr, however— She was simply Grandma.
And judging by the way her eyes lit up whenever she looked at him, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Ophis was dressed in an elegant white gown that contrasted beautifully with her long black hair and obsidian eyes.
As she sat on the couch with one leg crossed over the other, her legs were visible up to her thighs through the slit in her dress.
The dress had a deep neckline, and her abdomen was uncovered, her belly button showing.
The flowing fabric accentuated her regal bearing, making her appear both graceful and dignified.
As she sat comfortably upon the couch with one leg crossed over the other, she exuded the effortless confidence of someone who stood at the apex of existence.
[IMAGE] A crystal fruit bowl rested on the table before her.
She picked up a bright red spirit fruit that resembled a strawberry and took a small bite, a faint smile appearing on her lips.
[IMAGE] “Come, come, my dear,” she said warmly.
“Have some breakfast while we talk.” Zephyr nodded and walked over to the couch.
He took a seat beside his grandmother while Tiamat settled into the chair across from them.
With a flick of her wrist, Ophis poured a glass of deep crimson fruit juice into a finely crafted silver goblet and placed it before Zephyr.
The sweet aroma immediately filled the air.
The juice tasted remarkably similar to grape juice, though far richer and infused with spiritual energy.
Moments later, several dishes floated gently onto the table.
Zephyr’s eyes lit up at the sight.
One of the main dishes was a stack of golden pancakes drizzled with fragrant honey gathered from Celestial Spirit Bees.
Fresh berries were arranged around the edges, their colors vibrant and inviting.
Beside them sat fluffy scrambled eggs seasoned with aromatic herbs, accompanied by slices of perfectly toasted bread spread with creamy butter.
A platter of roasted potatoes completed the meal, their crisp golden exterior giving off an irresistible aroma.
The breakfast looked simple compared to the extravagant banquets often held within the palace.
Yet somehow, it felt far more comforting.
“Looks delicious,” Zephyr said honestly.
Ophis smiled with satisfaction.
“Of course it does.” “I made sure the palace chefs prepared it to your liking.” Zephyr immediately picked up his utensils and began eating.
The first bite alone was enough to make his expression brighten.
Seeing his reaction, both Ophis and Tiamat smiled fondly at this moment they were just loving family members enjoying breakfast together.
The food available in the Supreme Realm of Infinity was astonishingly diverse.
It included not only eastern cuisines but also western dishes, along with countless delicacies originating from different worlds, civilizations, and cultures spread throughout the universe.
The variety had completely shattered Zephyr’s previous assumptions.
Back on Earth, the cultivation novels he had read had always given him the impression that every cultivation world survived solely on Chinese cuisine.
Apparently, those novels had lied to him.
The cultivation world possessed an absurd variety of foods from every corner of existence.
Many dishes even resembled meals from Earth, though the quality was incomparably superior.
The presence of spiritual energy alone elevated every ingredient to a completely different level.
The fruits were sweeter.
The meat was richer.
The vegetables were more flavorful.
Even the drinks possessed spiritual properties that refreshed both the body and soul.
As Zephyr enjoyed his breakfast, occasionally taking a sip from his glass of crimson spirit juice, Ophis finally began discussing the arrangements they had prepared for his future cultivation.
“So, as we discussed previously, my dear,” Ophis began, placing her teacup down gracefully, “your cultivation will be sealed using a special technique of mine.” Zephyr immediately focused his attention.
The playful atmosphere from earlier disappeared as he listened carefully.
“The technique will seal your current cultivation within your Inner World.
Under normal circumstances, you will be completely unable to access it.” She paused briefly before continuing.
“However, if your life is ever placed in genuine danger, the seal will temporarily unlock and allow you to draw upon your power.” Zephyr nodded.
That made sense.
Neither Ophis nor Tiamat would ever allow him to be placed in a situation where a simple accident could permanently end his life.
