Inside of that old rusted room, Reiha sat on the cold floor hugging her knee against her chest.
Beneath her, dust filled the crack between the tiles.
The air inside the room smelled of old clothes and wet iron.
The dark suffocating her in every breath.
Broken pieces of decorative items lay across the floor in the corner.
In that pike of junk, Reiha’s gaze fell upon an enchanting small statue of an angel sculpted in white stone.
The statue of the angel looking directly at her, lying on the floor, with a thick layer of dust and dirt covering her all over.
The tinted glass window filtered the light of the moon in various colors and scattered it all over the floor and the wall as well as the ceiling.
Some part of the room was lit red, some lit blue, and other parts were green and orange.
Even in that darkness, the room lit beautifully with various colorful lights of hope.
She sighed heavily and buried her face in her knees and looked at the window.
“Do I really have to spend my night here?
She whispered to herself, “What did I do to deserve all of this? Why did it only happen to me?”
A tear slipped from her lashes and fell on her cheek.
Reiha wiped it up and looked up in the corner of the wall.
A fly was stuck on the spiderweb, trying to set herself free while the spider was skittering toward the fly with slow movements.
That fly flutters its wings again and again, trying to set itself free from the web.
Fear of getting eaten by the spider must have crawled into its skin.
The tiny fly fluttered its wings hard, and after countless efforts, it finally set itself free from the web, and the fear of losing its life kept it going.
The fly flew inside of the room around and slipped outside through the tiny hole in the window.
Reiha smiled; suddenly her fear and worry wash over her heart.
“Even that tiny thing fought for her life and set itself free from the web,” she said in a low voice to herself.
Her voice sounded small inside of that dark room.

Kiara sat gracefully on the long green velvet couch in the hall, her silver-grey nightgown draping all over her body like a mist on her pale skin.
The glass of wine rested in her fingers as she elegantly took a sip from it, her dark-blood lips humming a lullaby in a slow, thin voice while her finger brushed through her hair slowly. This chapter is updated first at novelping dot com.
No amount of emotion was in her smoky eyes; those blank eyes stare at the broken shards of glass lying next to the portrait of Adhiraj on the table.
Her expression shifted, and her eyes filled with an ache looking at the broken portrait, and a cascade of tears slipped from her eyes.
Then she looked at the side and smiled; her face immediately softened.
A strange calmness took the place of yearning in her eyes as she was pleased to put Reiha in that dark room full of junk.
She rolled her eyes.
“That bitch should know her place.”
“She pushed me. How dare she?” Her fingers tightened on the wine glass.
“I thought she would be easy to manipulate and tortured to take revenge on Santelvo.”
She took a deep breath, “but that filthy blood needs more lessons to learn.”
She forgot that her right hand was wounded, and unconsciously she clenched her fist too tightly.
A sudden sting shot through her hand.
“Aah.” Her eyes fell onto her wounded palm, and her smile left her lips instantly.
She stared at it for a long time, then her thumb gently rubbed over the wound.
Arthav’s footsteps echoed in the hall when he stepped in, and his feet stopped in the middle of the hall beneath the exquisite crystal chandelier hanging high from the ceiling; his hair was wet from the rain, and the rainwater was still dripping from his hair and falling on his shoulders.
Brushing the rain from his broad shoulder with his hand, he asked, “Drinking alone?”
Kiara turned to him, and her lips widened instantly.
“Arthav, how did you get wet?”
“It started pouring.”
Kiara looked at the window.
“Aahn. Didn’t even notice.”
“This is why we do not drink alone. Tell me, how much did you drink? ” Arthav asked casually.
Kiara folded her legs on the couch, wearing her high heels.
“Who else do I have to drink with, huh?”
“Do you want one?” You are reading on g.com, the official source.
Arthav shook his head lightly.
“No, I am going to sleep. You enjoy.”
“Ma’am, here it’s ready.” Maya came in holding a bouquet of red roses.
“A bouquet?
At this late.
What are you going to do?” “Arthav?” asked his eyes, narrowing slightly.
“It’s for your dad; he must be upset today with me.” Her voice was breaking as she spoke.
“I couldn’t even protect his portrait. He used to cherish a lot.”
“What?” his brow drew together.
“That wench, that filthy wench, ruined your dad’s portrait from the study.”
Arthav’s face pulled tight; he looked sideways at the direction of his room.
Kiara turned toward Maya.
“Put it on the table. I’ll give it to him myself,” she said, smiling.
She waved her hand dismissively.
“You can leave now.”
“That bitch needs to learn her place.” Kiara continued.
“And when I confronted her, Arthav, she pushed me and looked.” she showed arthav her wounded palm, pouting her face
“She tries to kill your Ma.”
“Where is she?” Arthav asked.
Maya looked at Arthav, her eyes filled with so many things to say to him, but the fear of Kiara made her mouth shut.
“You haven’t left,” Kiara said sharply, looking at Maya.
Maya shuddered.
She stole one last glance at Arthav before lowering her head and quietly leaving the hall.
