Arthav said nothing; he took a deep sigh and walked superstars toward his room.

Somewhere deep down, he already knew Kiara had done something.

Still, he climbed to his room.Full novel: The Curse Of Fallen Angel — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Part of him wanted proof.

Part of him wanted to be wrong.

Maybe he was imagining things.

Maybe Reiha was exactly where she was supposed to be.

On her very first day, Reiha made it clear that she wasn’t afraid of anyone, but Arthav knew better.

Beneath all that stubbornness and defiance, there was still a part of her that was afraid.

He turned the doorknob and opened the door.

When he opened it, he only saw the empty, dark, and cold room, lit by the dim light of the moon, and Reiha wasn’t there.

He walked down from the stairs with hurried steps and stood before Kiara.

His eyes turned black with worry.

“Where is she? What did you do?”

Kiara put her wine glass down and lifted her eyes to Arthav.

“What happened?

“You suddenly care for her.”

Arthav was getting frustrated over Kiara’s behavior, but he still managed to keep it cool.

Aarthav took a deep breath and asked again, “Where is she?”

Kiara rolled her eyes.

“She will stay there for the rest of the night, and this time you will not cross my path, you boy.”

“That fitly little bitch tried to overpower me.” She barked, “How many times do I need to tell you she will stay where she is and you will listen?”

“You forgot what her father did to us, and after all this you’re taking her side.”

Kiara’s breathing quickened with anger.

“You ungrateful brat.”

“Let’s end it. I’ll take my revenge today. I’ll kill her.”

Arthav put both hands on his face and slid his wet hair back from his face; he lifted his gaze again and looked at Kiara’s eyes.

He asked again, but this time his voice was not loud and also not angry; his voice sounded dangerously calm and heavy.

“Where is Reiha?”

Kiara’s eyes widened.

Her lips parted as she looked at him, and her heart pounded like a horse running in a race.

What she saw in his eyes was beyond her imagination and understanding.

A shadow crawled into Arthav’s eyes, and his eyes turned black and his pupils turned yellow.

Kiara took a step back; her hand was shivering with terror.

She saw him for the first time like this; it felt like her sweet boy had just left, and in his place, an unnatural entity had just possessed his body.

“West wing me.” Her voice stumbled when she spoke.

She took another step back, but her leg hit the couch behind her.

Losing her balance, she dropped onto the seat.

Her eyes remained fixed on Arthav.

“Your eyes…”

Arthav turned and walked towards the west wing.

His mind was blank at that time; his gaze was blurred but focused on one face only, and that was hers.

With a quick movement, he reached for his back and pulled out his gun tucked under his coat.

Before the guard could react, he shot the closest guard in the leg.

The bullet tore through the guard’s muscles, and as the blood fell on the ground, the guard fell onto the ground immediately.

The eyes of the other guard widened with terror; he instantly dropped to his knees, begging for mercy from him.

“Master Arthav,” his voice trembled as he spoke to him, “please forgive me. Mrs. Advani said she’ll kill us. Please forgive me.”

He put a gun on the head of the guard and growled, “and what made you think that I’d spare you?”

The guard closed his eyes and accepted the fact that this time Arthav would definitely shoot him.

The guard open his eyes and looked at him.

Arthav his eyes were dark and a faint, dangerous yellow glow bled into his irises, although he was on holding the gun to the guard’s forehead, but his finger on the trigger flinched as he was standing on the edge of restraint.

He slowly put the gun down and in a heavy voice he said.

“Open it.”

“Y-Yes, sir.”

The guard pulled the key out from his pocket with shaky hands, he gulped, and gave it to him.

The wounded guard groaned in agony, lying on the floor; his crimson blood flowed out from his thighs and stained the white marble floor around him.

Arthav looked at the wounded guard.

But his eyes show no emotion for him; they were empty and cold, with only anger and something inhuman in that.

“Take him away from here,” Arthav grumbled.

“And clean it up; I don’t want her to see this.”

The guard nodded and lifted the wounded guard on his shoulder and walked outside from the corridor.

Arthav turned the lock and opened the door of that abandoned room in the west wing.
