Ivory
“Like brother in law and sister in law, right?” I asked and he barked out a laugh.
“Fuck, no. Just as… friends.”
My cheeks flushed for a moment.
“Oh.” I mumbled and he hummed, then he reached out and took my hand in his.
His touch felt warm, comfortable and sodt so I didn’t pull away, and his thumb lightly stroked my knuckles.
“Yeah, that’s gonna be some cool shit. You’ve caught my intrigue and I really wanna get to know you.”
The sincerity in his voice made me feel a little shy and giddy and I realized that even back when I was supposedly in love with Jaden, his words never sounded this gentle and sincere to me before.
“I guess we can be friends then, and get to know each other. I- I’d like to get to know you too.” I finally admitted and he flashed me a grin that made my stomach flutter.

Auden’s pov
“Did you really fuck her, Auden?” Violet asked, her eyes watching me closely.
I let out a ragged sigh, massaging my forehead with my thumb.
I could feel a headach growing there since last night and it seems to only be worsening.
I’ve barely been able to get a thing done since morning, and I’d rather not deal with Violet right now.
“Fuck no. Why would i do that?” I demanded and she let out pleased sound as she rounded my desk to perch on the edge.
“That’s… great.” She finally commented.
“Everyone in the palace thinks you did through.”
“That’s the point, so they believe we’re a real couple. Else the council members won’t get off my ass.” I rolled my eyes in irritation at the last part.
I was gonna deal with the council members once I finally have their time; every single one of them who cleerly believe I couldn’t see through all the games.
“I still wish you didn’t have to go to this length, what if ivory starts getting delusional after this fake marriage?.” Violet sighed out softly as she reached out and massaged my forehead, targeting the perfect spots because she knew me that well.
“She won’t. I gave her a firm warning.”
I found myself relaxing a little after about a minute, my eyes fluttering close for a moment, while my mind returned back to last night.
It had ticked me off even more to watch her be visibly terrified of me being in the same room with her, like she was scared I’d go against my words and touch her. New chapters come out on novelping.com first.
But I wasn’t that kind of person.
And besides, last night turned out to be one of the hardest I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.
Firstly, I never predicted that her scent would be that… thick, cloying and intense, constantly filling my lungs with each inhale.
While I was trying to figure out why my head seemed to be growing dizzy in response to my scent, my wolf had a whole different field day going crazy over the scent.
For reasons completely unknown to me.
Plus, having to stay in there, far away from the bed while watching her huddle into the tiniest ball possible while trying to stiffle her sob, had completely rubbed me in ways I was still struggling to comprehend.
It had been torture staying in that same room until morning and as soon as the day broke, I left as fast as I could.
After making a small cut in my palm and letting it drop on the bed, to represent her virginity being took.
A knock echoed loudly and I cracked my eyes open while Violet invited the person to come in, cause she already knew who it was.
It was my beta, Matt.
“Your majesty, Prince Ezra is here to see you.” He announced and I felt every muscle within me grow rigid, my mind traveling back to the wedding yeetrrdsy and how he had not only stood so close to ivory while speaking to her, he had basically been eye fucking her.
And that shit made me so mad, not cause I was jealous, but cause it was insulting to me that he couldn’t openly respect the marriage— which had literally just taken place, in public at least.
I was also fairly certain ivory hadn’t picked out the scorching desire in his eyes.
My jaw clenched as I got to my feet, making violet’s hands drop.
“Let him in.”
It wasn’t like i particularly cared about whatever Ezra did, cause I didn’t.
That’s why I rarely considered him family, cause we’re only connected by my father.
Violet had a worried look on her face as she tentatively called out.
“Auden.”
It was a subtle warning.
Don’t lose control.
Don’t kill Ezra.” Visit g.com for the full chapter.
“I have it under control, Vi. You may leave now.” I spoke fast, ignoring the displeased look on her face cause she hated when I dismissed her like this.
“I’ve helped ivory settle in like you instructed.” She offered and I nodded.
That’s good.
I asked her to do that cause I know it might be months before I’ll even have to summon ivory again.
“I’ll go check up on the girls in the harem, ensure they aren’t … bored.” She said as she walked to the door.
“You do that.” I echoed as the door closed after her.
A minute had barely passed before the door was opening again, and then Ezra sauntered in leisurely.
He had his hands deep in his pockets, the air slightly shifting around him as he walked.
Ezra knew he was not only good looking, he was a powerful alpha as well, so women not only fall at his feet, they fall into his bed just as easily.
It’s why he was only twenty five, but very cocky and confident.
“Hey, big brother.” He drawled as he smoothly fall into the seat opposite my desk, a shit eating grin on his face.
I found it ironic that he was a Carbon copy of my father despite my father never getting to meet him.
“Get up, Ezra. I didn’t give you permission to sit.” I snapped and he sighed before pushing himself up, his grin never wavering.
“Damn, sorry big brother. I just thought you’d be up to a chat.” He sighed out and I scoffed in irritation, praying for patience.
“Care to explain what that shit at the wedding was? Why the fuck were you standing so close to ivory?”
He had the audacity to look confused.
“I saved her from falling and was confirming if she was fine. Besides, isn’t it a fake marriage? Why do you care?”
I swore, anger swelling within me.
“You dumb idiot. You want the public to find out that it’s a fake marriage? Even if it’s fake, you have to respect it in public!” I gritted out sharply and he held his hands up.
“Alright, I’m sorry. I’ll remember that next time.”
My eyes narrowed at him.
“There won’t be a next time. Stay away from her, Ezra.”
I expected him to whine and ask me why, but a lazy grin only tugged at the sides of his lips before he shrugged and nodded.
“Yes sir.”
