Auden

When I stepped into the room, a few nurses, the pack doctor and Anabel were in here, and they all straitened up bowed.

Anabel was still leaning over Ivory, her hands glowing a bright green hue, which were hovered over Ivory’s heaving chest.

She was breathing again.

Good.

She needs to survive.

Aside for her role in my revenge, she needs to be alive to get punished for all the vile things I just discovered moments ago.

My eyes darted around the room and I nodded at the door.

“Leave. All of you.” I barked sharply.

They all scurried out instantly, leaving only ivory, Anabel and myself.

When I focused on Anabel again, I wasn’t surprised to find her slightly scowling, a displeased look on her face.

“Is she out of danger?” I asked tersely, and she shot me a pointed look.

“It would seem like it. You made me use my powers for her, after over a decade of me never using it.” She breathed out and I glanced away for a moment.

The last person Anabel used her powers on, was myself, when I almost died.

“It’s important that she remains alive. Your inconveniences would be fully settled, so be rest assured.” I gruffed out, my tone tight.

She let out a scoff, her mouth in a thin line.

“You know I don’t care about that, Auden.”

There it is.

Calling me by my name.

She was getting too familiar.

And I hated it, whenever she tried to care too much.

She should know better by now.

Caring would only get her hurt.

“Let’s not do this right now, omega Anabel.” I informed her, and something in my tone must have told her something, because she let out a sigh.

“Of course, your majesty. Your wife is fine, just weak. Her immune system— her entire body feels weak. She lacks nutrition, and has been under way too much stress than her weak bones can hold.” She paused and finally straightened up, fully facing me now.

“That’s noted.” I gruffed out and turned around.

“Your majesty?” Anabel’s voice echoed from behind me just before I could step out.

“Yes?” I turned around and focused on her again.

Her gaze was bleak and gave nothing away and she pointed towards the bed where Ivory was still passed out in, looking so innocent and incapable of anything horrible. New chapters come out on g.com first.

But i know better than to believe that.

“I allocated a bit of my magic into her.” She revealed and I felt myself grow tense at once.

“Why?” I barked as my eyes narrowed.

I didn’t like the sound of that at all cause that might mess up everything, cause if she somehow discover the things she can be able to pull off before I make use of her in my grand plan, then all my planning for so many years would end up being for nothing.

“She was struggling to breathe. It was either that or she dies.” Anabel responded smoothly.

My eyes focused on ivory’s smooth, pale face.

She was sweating buckets, her chest heaving as she breathed.

Was the punishment too much for her body?

Is that why she’s in the state right now?

So what’s she gonna do when I show her an actual punishment?

Cause she’s certainly not escaping scot free after what I just discovered today.

My lips went into a thin line and I looked away.

“Well, extract it back without leaving a drop behind.” I ordered and she signed loudly, looking like she was holding herself back from saying something to me.

“I can’t do that yet cause she might die.” She explained but I shook my head firmly, a hand held up.

I might have cared some more if I heard this before, but after what I just discovered, all I could feel within me was irritation.

“Just do it and do it fast. She’s already breathing so it should be fine.”

If it wasn’t for her usefulness in my revenge, I’m supposed to just let her die here.

No one’s supposed to still be breathing after living the disgusting life she lived back in her pack.

It suddenly made sense why she was bold enough to hit Jaden on our wedding day.

That had been such a jarring difference from her timid and scadycat demeanor.

I should’ve began to figure out that something was off since then.

This means most of what she’s been showing me was just an act and nothing more.

Who knows if she’s still a virgin?

Perhaps that was a lie as well and she only acted so terrified on our wedding night so I’d keep feeling pity for her and treating her like egg.

My eyes fell on her sleeping form again and I realized I couldn’t bare to be here a moment longer.

Anger rolled in my chest as I turned around and exited the ward at once.

Jet was rushing towards me when I took a turn and he stopped in front of me.

“Your majesty, your council members are still waiting in the meeting for you.” He revealed.

“They claim that all have an important question to ask you.”

They can wait for now.

“Summon violet.” I said to jet, already walking past him and into my office.

I want to get to the bottom of this fast before moving back to my meeting.

Those words Ezra previously said were still echoing in my head, about what Ivory claimed happened to her being violet’s doing.

That’s certainly so not true.

Ezra just hates violet guts, so he’d eagerly blindly accuse her at any given opportunity.

I might have second guesssd my judgement before, but After what I just discovered about ivory today, there’s no doubt that she lied to me today.

She pulled those lies today for me out of thin air, to keep gaining my sympathy and attention.

No doubt at all.

I was leaning against my office table, my fingers running over the books at the side of my desk when the door got pushed open to reveal violet at the door.

“Did you send for me, Auden?” She asked excitedly, her face brightening up as she watched me, then she walked right in, closing the door after her, her purple dress swishing behind her.

“Are you here cause you’re bored from your meeting? Want me to keep you company?” She asked and I snorted.

Shortly after I initially took over the throne, I used to leave meetings to hideaway in my office, and she’d entertain and keep my company until whenever I decide to leave.

“Did you turn ivory into a slave?” I asked bluntly, my eyes pinned on her.

Her face never lose their shocked and confused expression as she clutched at her chest.

“W— what?” She cried, looking perplexed.

“Did I do… are you suspecting that I’m the one who put her in the state she’s presently in? Me?!!”

I let out a sigh, scrubbing a hand over my face.

“Just answer the question, Vi.”

Her face has a wounded expression on as she sighed, brushing her hair out of her face and shaking her head slowly.

“No, Auden. I’d never do that without you ordering me to. I heard she’s in a clinic now. It was never my doing.”

“Are you sure?” I pressed, wanting to be certain that I didn’t jump into conclusions about not believing ivory and Ezra’s words at all, and that I actually looked into this.

A hurt sound left her throat as she closed the distance between us, her body pressing against my chest.

“What’s actually going on? You don’t believe me?” She whispered quietly and when I remained quite, her face crumbled.

Another sigh left my mouth and I cupped her face, making her blink yo at me.

“I’m not doubting or accusing you, Vi.”

She sniffled slowly, her eyes swimming with hurt as she blinked up at me.

“Then … why?”
