“Yan Ge…”

Zhang Qile’s mind was completely occupied with the thought of Yan Ge bullying the little classmate in the small woods. Distracted, he accidentally bumped into Huo Yan walking ahead.

Huo Yan turned around, lifting his eyelids to glance at him.Full novel: The Dark and Brooding Big Shot’s Little Fairy is Super Flirty — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Zhang Qile immediately stepped aside, clutching his head while thinking to himself:

Damn, as expected of Yan Ge, he’s really solid.

I wonder if the little classmate cried from the pain earlier.

And for Yan Ge to just leave like that, leaving the little classmate alone with Pei Jing in the small woods – that’s totally some scumbag behavior.

Of course, Huo Yan had no idea what Zhang Qile was thinking. He just reached into his pocket and realized his lighter was missing.

Probably dropped when he was with that girl earlier.

He turned and headed back toward the small woods.

“Yan Ge, where are you going? Class is about to start!” Zhang Qile shouted while rubbing his forehead. Seeing Huo Yan heading toward the small woods, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Just as I thought – that little classmate is so innocent. There’s no way Yan Ge would just use her once and then ditch her.

Pei Jing lay fallen on the grass, feeling the metallic taste of blood rising in her nasal passages, her back aching terribly.

“Fuck!” She glared viciously at Sang Yu, struggling to stand up and retaliate.

Sang Yu’s expression remained indifferent, as if looking at a lifeless object. Without hesitation, she raised her foot and stepped on Pei Jing’s hand, grinding it into the dirt.

“Ah! It hurts… Let go, you bitch! Let me go now, or I’ll make you pay!”

Pei Jing cursed through gritted teeth.

The class bell had already rung, and the small woods were essentially deserted at this hour.

Sang Yu narrowed her eyes, gazing indifferently at the girl before her while increasing the pressure under her foot.

“It hurts… My hand… My hand!”

Pei Jing screamed in pain, nearly collapsing face down on the ground.

Sang Yu frowned, flicked her fingertips, a flicker of boredom passing through her eyes as she lifted her foot, then kicked Pei Jing with disgust.

Pei Jing lay on the ground, clutching her hand and crying, “Just you wait, I won’t let you get away with this! I’ll make you cry and get kicked out of this school – no, out of Jiangcheng!”

Sang Yu lazily lifted her eyelids, her tone calm, her voice still dripping with honeyed sweetness but laced with hidden blades.

“Whatever.” Her voice was airy as she examined her fingers, then bent down to squat before Pei Jing. In an instant, she reverted to her previous docile and vulnerable appearance, smiling sweetly. “If you tell anyone, I’ll cut out your tongue next time.”

Pei Jing’s expression froze, her pupils contracting slightly.

Madwoman!

This woman is insane!

Sang Yu couldn’t be bothered with what Pei Jing thought. Noticing some mud on her leather boots, she bent down to wipe them clean with a wet tissue. Then, almost kindly, she offered one to Pei Jing, smiling brightly. “Wipe your face. Your nose is bleeding.”

Then, under Pei Jing’s fearful and conflicted gaze, she stood up and walked toward the edge of the small woods.

“Click—”

Sang Yu hadn’t taken more than a few steps when the sound of a lighter igniting came from behind her.

Her steps faltered slightly as she turned to look.

Huo Yan was leaning against the wall, holding a lighter identical to the one she had picked up, clicking it on and off intermittently.

But those peach blossom eyes were now sharply scrutinizing her, his handsome face completely expressionless.

Sang Yu froze for a moment, her heart skipping a beat, though her expression remained perfectly innocent.

“Classmate Huo Yan,”

Her expression was guileless, her damp eyes gazing at him, her voice soft and sweet like honey,

“You saw someone bullying your deskmate who’s unable to truss a chicken, and you didn’t even think about helping me?””

Huo Yan watched her quietly, raising an eyebrow expressionlessly. His gaze swept across Sang Yu’s clean, fair face, his expression teasing and mocking.

“Why should I help you?”

Sang Yu blinked, lowering her eyes as if hurt. The girl’s long, fair neck was exposed, and even her earlobes were tinged pink.

“But didn’t you promise Teacher Zhang,” the young girl said sorrowfully, lifting her gaze to stare directly at him. The corners of her eyes curved into the same captivating, hook-like smile she had worn earlier on the podium, “that you would get along lovingly with me?”
