The next day.
Yu Huan woke up early for once.
Zhu Heqing had already packed her luggage, so there was nothing she needed to do.
Calling it luggage was an exaggeration—it was just a few things Yu Huan was used to using here. Everything was already available at home, so in the end, not even a small suitcase was filled.
Zhu Heqing had just come out of the gym, dressed in summer workout clothes, looking no different from a college student.
He wiped the sweat off his face. As the loose sleeveless shirt shifted, it faintly revealed his chest.
Yu Huan lifted her eyes and happened to see Zhu Heqing’s well-defined but not overly bulky chest muscles.
Although they were in a relationship and already living together, aside from kissing, they hadn’t taken things any further.
Yu Huan didn’t dislike intimacy between couples.
In fact, after officially getting together with Zhu Heqing, she had even secretly looked forward to it.
She was quite curious whether that kind of thing felt as addictive as described in novels.
Unfortunately, Zhu Heqing had never touched her.
Sometimes, when things nearly got out of hand, he would hold himself back, calm her down first, and then go take a cold shower to deal with himself.
Yu Huan had even once suspected that Zhu Heqing might have some kind of problem.
Because of that, she had searched online.
As the saying went, looking up illnesses online often led straight to the worst conclusions.
When Yu Huan searched, one answer claimed, “Men lose their right to be men after twenty-five.”
Yu Huan had never been a man, so she didn’t know whether that was true. But since such an answer existed, it must have some basis.
Thinking her boyfriend might be all looks and no substance put her in a slightly bad mood.
So the next time they finished kissing and Zhu Heqing went to the bathroom again, Yu Huan touched her swollen lips and kindly suggested, “Older Brother, if you really can’t… maybe you should see a doctor.”
At first, Zhu Heqing didn’t understand. But once he realized what she meant, he laughed in exasperation.
He didn’t go to the bathroom. Instead, he pulled her into his arms, his voice slightly hoarse. “Baby, there’s nothing wrong with me. You’re too young. I don’t want you to regret it later.”
Feeling the undeniable presence behind her, Yu Huan didn’t dare push further.
Even though she had only kissed Zhu Heqing since they started dating, she had seen his body countless times.
Before, Zhu Heqing’s physique had been more on the muscular side from working out.
Yu Huan didn’t like that. Being young, she preferred a leaner build—especially the kind of cool, pale, lightly toned physique.
So Zhu Heqing adjusted his training, focusing on fat reduction and changing his workout routine to match her preferences.
With finals week, travel, and then several days of illness, Yu Huan hadn’t seen the results of his training for quite a while.
Now that she suddenly saw it, her mischievous curiosity was instantly stirred.
Thinking that she wouldn’t see Zhu Heqing for nearly a month, Yu Huan felt even more tempted. She crooked her finger and called sweetly, “Zhu Heqing, come here.”
Zhu Heqing draped the towel over his neck and obediently walked over.
His skin was naturally pale, and after exercising, the flush on his body was especially noticeable, making him look particularly appealing.
Yu Huan reached out, grabbed his hand hanging at his side, and gave a slight pull. He bent down without resistance.
The distance between them closed.
Yu Huan sniffed, wrinkled her nose, and said willfully, “You smell.”
She had just drunk water, and her lips were soft and moist. Zhu Heqing’s gaze lingered unconsciously on them, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly.
“Mm, I’ll go shower now.”
“No. I want to check your workout results first.” Yu Huan’s hand slid up along his arm and slipped under his shirt.
His warm chest tensed instinctively at the touch of her cool fingers. His breathing quickened slightly, becoming uneven.
His abdominal muscles were clearly defined. Zhu Heqing didn’t sweat heavily, so his skin felt only slightly damp, which didn’t affect the sensation.
Zhu Heqing let her do as she pleased under his shirt. After she finished, his voice was slightly hoarse. “Baby, satisfied?”
Yu Huan wiped her hand on his shirt and revealed a small, playful smile. “Barely. While I’m gone, you still have to work out every day. Don’t slack off. I’ll check when I come back… but don’t overdo it either. Just stay like this. Otherwise, it won’t look good.”
She walked over and lazily sat on the sofa, completely ignoring the fire she had just stirred up in him. “Go take a shower. After that, make me breakfast.”
“I’ll cook for you first, then shower.”
“No. You’re all sweaty. That’s not hygienic.”
“Then have a bottle of yogurt and wait a bit? I’ll need some time. I’ll cook for you right after I’m done.”
Yu Huan tilted her head and looked at him. “Fifteen minutes. If you take longer than that, I’ll just order takeout.”
Zhu Heqing never liked her ordering takeout, always thinking outside food wasn’t clean. If he was too busy, he would rather call a private chef to deliver meals.
So he definitely couldn’t agree to that.
Looking at Yu Huan’s smug smile, his face was full of indulgence.
Suppressing the heat she had stirred in him, he quickly took a shower. With his hair still half-dry, he went straight into the kitchen to make breakfast for his girlfriend.
The meal he prepared was light. Yu Huan picked at it and ate about half, leaving the rest for Zhu Heqing to finish.
After eating, he put the dishes into the dishwasher, changed into a suit, and prepared to go to the company. Before leaving, he asked again, “Baby, are you sure you don’t need me to take you there?”
“No need.” Yu Huan was watching a video her roommate had sent her. Without even looking up, she waved her hand dismissively. “Go to work. I’ll call you when I arrive.”
Zhu Heqing lowered his eyes. Countless thoughts passed through his mind, but in the end, he only said, “I’m heading out.”
“Wait.” Yu Huan stopped him. “Come here. I forgot to give you something.”
Zhu Heqing paused, then walked over at her urging.
She asked him to bend down and gave him a quick, light kiss on the cheek.
“A goodbye kiss. You can go now. Work hard, okay? When I come back, you have to prepare a gift for me.”
The warmth of her lips seemed to linger on his cheek. Zhu Heqing felt as if he had tasted honey. Lowering his head, he let out a low, magnetic laugh that was incredibly captivating. “Mm, I’ll be good.”
As expected of a wealthy man.
Yu Huan snorted softly. Even his laughter carried an old-money elegance.
Not long after Zhu Heqing left for work, her childhood friend Zhou Muyang arrived outside the residential community.
“Sorry, sir. Without authorization, I can’t let you enter the residential community.”
As a high-end community where every inch of land was valuable, security was extremely strict. Zhou Muyang had barely parked outside and leaned out the window to explain his purpose when he was politely but firmly stopped.
They offered him two options: either the resident could come down to pick him up, or he could call the resident to confirm his identity.
