The Watson mansion was strangely quiet.

Normally, Jay greeted every maid with a bright smile.

She walked downstairs with messy hair, an oversized hoodie over her pajamas, and the grumpiest expression anyone had ever seen.

The entire staff froze.

The head maid whispered,

“…Why does Mrs.

Watson look like she’s ready to fire someone?”

Felix glanced over from the dining table.

“…Good morning?”

Jay simply stared at him.

“…”

Felix immediately looked down at his coffee.

“I’ll stop talking.”

One by one, the maids quietly disappeared into the kitchen.

Even the bodyguards stood a little straighter.

Jay sat down.

A maid carefully placed a cup of tea in front of her.

“Good morning, Ma’am.”

Jay looked at it.

“I wanted coffee.”

“I-I’m sorry!”

The terrified maid quickly replaced it with coffee.

Jay took one sip.

“…Too sweet.”

The maid nearly cried.

“I’ll make another one.”

“No.”

Jay pushed it away.

“I don’t want coffee anymore.”

Felix looked at the ceiling.

“May God protect us today…”

Just then…

Keifer entered.

He noticed the unusual silence.

“What happened?”

Nobody answered.

He looked at Jay.

She was frowning at a piece of toast as if it had personally offended her.

Keifer sat opposite her.

“You didn’t sleep well?”

Jay didn’t answer.

He picked up his newspaper.

“You should eat something.”

Jay suddenly snapped.

“I KNOW I SHOULD EAT SOMETHING!”

The entire dining room went silent.

A spoon dropped onto the floor.

Even the clock seemed to stop ticking.

Felix slowly closed his eyes.

“We’re all dead.”

Keifer lowered his newspaper.

“What was that?”

Jay stood up.

“Don’t tell me what to do!”

She turned around and stormed upstairs.

Bang!

Her bedroom door slammed shut.

The mansion remained completely silent.

Nobody dared breathe.

Keifer looked around the dining room.

“Did I say something wrong?”

The maids exchanged nervous glances.

Finally, the oldest maid cleared her throat.

“Sir…”

“…Mrs.

Watson is on her monthly cycle.”

Keifer frowned.

“So?”

Felix coughed.

“It can cause cramps, pain, mood changes…

and she’s probably very uncomfortable.”

The realization slowly dawned on him.

He looked toward the staircase.

“…Oh.”

Without another word…

He stood up and walked out of the mansion.

Felix blinked.

“Sir?”

No answer.

Two hours later…

The front doors opened again.

Every servant turned to look.

Keifer walked in carrying more shopping bags than anyone had ever seen him hold.

Behind him, his driver carried even more.

Chocolate.

Her favorite chips.

Fresh fruit.

A fluffy blanket.

A heating pad.

Pain relief patches.

Warm socks.

Soft plush toys.

Several novels she had once glanced at in a bookstore.

A basket of white lilies and soft pink roses.

And a handwritten note tucked between the flowers.

The entire staff stared.

Felix whispered,

“…The Devil went shopping.”

The head maid covered her mouth to hide her smile.

Keifer knocked once before entering Jay’s room.

She was curled up on the bed with a pillow pressed against her stomach.

Her eyes were slightly red.

Without saying a word…

He placed everything beside her bed.

Jay blinked.

“…What’s all this?”

“For you.”

She looked at the flowers.

“You bought flowers?”

“You looked like you needed them.”

She couldn’t help but smile.

“…Thank you.”

He awkwardly cleared his throat.

“The maid said these days are…

difficult.”

Jay laughed softly.

“That’s one way to put it.”

He poured her a mug of warm herbal tea.

“Drink.”

She obediently took the cup.

For once…

She didn’t argue.

That night…

The cramps became worse.

Jay tossed and turned in her sleep.

A quiet whimper escaped her lips.

Keifer, who had been working on the sofa in the room, looked up immediately.

He walked over.

She was sleeping, but her face was pinched with discomfort.

Without waking her, he gently adjusted the blanket.

Then he remembered something the doctor had once mentioned—that gentle warmth can sometimes help with cramps.

He carefully rested his warm hand over the blanket where her lower abdomen was, making slow, gentle circles.

Jay’s breathing gradually became steadier.

The tension left her face.

Still half asleep, she instinctively reached out and held onto his wrist.

“…Keifer…”

She murmured his name without opening her eyes.

He stayed there quietly for several minutes, continuing the slow circles until she seemed comfortable again.

A small smile appeared on her sleeping face.

Keifer looked at her for a long moment and whispered so softly that only the silent room could hear,

“You take care of everyone…”

“…so let me take care of you, just this once.”

Outside the room, Felix happened to walk past.

Seeing the light still on, he peeked through the slightly open door.

He smiled to himself.

“The Devil,” he murmured, “has no idea he’s already fallen in love.”
