The woman slowly walked toward Antonio.

She bit her lower lip and danced in a seductive way.

Chloe hissed, turned and walked out, the man following close behind her.Full novel: The Don’s Captive Flame — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The moment the door closed behind them, Chloe spun around.

“Fuck you, Victor.

You saw me in there with your brother.” Victor D’Angelo was the second son, and the family’s notorious playboy.

He wasn’t as handsome as Antonio, nor did he possess Antonio’s intimidating presence.

But he had his own kind of charm, easy smiles, expensive clothes, and a confidence that often bordered on arrogance.

He leaned casually against the wall.

“What?” he asked innocently.

“I had no idea you were in there.

Is something wrong between you two?” Chloe turned and started walking away.

“Fuck off, Victor.” “Oh, don’t be like that,” he called after her, pushing away from the wall.

She kept walking.

Victor soon caught up with her.

“You’re angry.” “I’m not talking to you.” “You’re definitely angry.” She stopped and shot him a furious look.

“You think this is funny?” Victor’s smile widened.

“If it’s about the girl relax, at least you know Antonio is not going to fuck her.” “I don’t care about your fucking entertainment.” “Okay, so what’s eating you then.

Want me to get your own entertainment?” “You’re an idiot.” “Fair enough,” he said with a lazy shrug.

She rolled her eyes and kept walking down the corridor.

Victor fell into step beside her.

“So, what did my dear brother do this time?” ”Nothing.” “Then why do you look like you’re ready to kill someone?” “Because I’m considering it.” She stopped dead in her tracks, spun around, and pointed a finger at his chest.

“You’re going to help me.” Victor chuckled.

“Now that’s more like the Chloe I know.” When Antonio arrived home that afternoon, he found Livy still in bed.

Immediately she saw him, she quickly got up from the bed.

“You can’t keep me locked up like this,” she complained.

“I’m going crazy.” “I’m taking you out.” “Why don’t you just let me go.” He tossed a dress onto the mattress.

“Put that on.” “I don’t need your clothes,” she snapped.

“I don’t need anything from you.” Antonio pulled her into his arms.

His gaze turning cold and predatory.

“Let’s get one thing straight piccola.” His voice was low.

“Everything you are right now, your time, your body, every breath you take, belongs to me.

So you’ll damn well wear what I tell you to wear.” Livy raised her hand to push him off her, but Antonio held her hand easily, scooped her up and dropped her flat onto the bed.

Placing one leg between her thighs, he leaned in close, until their lips were almost touching.

“W-what are you going to do?” she asked sounding frightened.

“Don’t worry, mia moglie,” he said, gently tracing the curve of her cheek with his thumb.

“I don’t take what isn’t freely given.” His finger slowly traveled down her throat, sending a shiver through her.

It continued lower cupping her breast in the palm of his hand.

Livy’s breath caught.

Antonio watched her reaction, his gaze darkening as he squeezed two fingers between her nipples.

A shiver ran down her spine, but she quickly masked it with an angry glare.

“What kind of sick game are you playing?” A slow smirk spread across his face.

“You’re my wife, remember?

You should be getting used to me touching you.” “You bastard,” she hissed, glaring at him.

“I’ll never be yours.” His smirk only deepened.

“You are in no position to be making demands, so stop provoking me.

I’m not used to tolerating disobedience.” Then, he stood up from the bed slowly, and walked toward the door.

”Get dressed,” he said without looking back.

“Unless you want me to take you out in your robe, you have two minutes.” A few minutes later, two men escorted her out of the apartment into a private elevator.

Outside, three sleek cars waited in the driveway.

She was ushered into the middle one.

Antonio was already inside.

The moment she settled into the seat, he reached across and pulled a blindfold over her eyes, tying it firmly behind her head.

”What are you doing?” she protested, her hands flying up toward the cloth.

But Antonio caught her wrists before she could touch it, pinning her hands firmly to her sides.

”Keep it on,” he said.

“If you try to take it off, or even peek, I might have to kill you.” Livy let out a sharp breath, her whole body stiffening.

”Consider it a friendly warning,” he said calmly as he finally released her hands.

She mentally counted the turns, trying to estimate how long they traveled between each one.

She listened for changes in the engine, the sound of tires against different surfaces, anything that might give her a clue about anything.

It didn’t help that, the car was practically soundproof.

They stopped twice, for at least five minutes each.

Damn it..She couldn’t even tell whether they were stopping at traffic lights or something else was going on.

Suddenly, the car took a sharp turn and she was thrown sideways.

She landed directly against Antonio.

Her hands instinctively grabbed his suit jacket to steady herself.

For a moment, neither of them moved.

Livy could feel the solid warmth of his body beneath the expensive fabric.

Then she quickly pulled away.

“Sorry,” she muttered.

Antonio said nothing.

Few minutes after that, the car slowed down, and Antonio reached over to untie the blindfold.

Bright light flooded her eyes, making her blink hard until the blur cleared.

She looked out the window.

They were driving down a lonely road lined only by thick, tall trees.

Ten minutes after that, the trees gave way, and the car entered a town.

The streets were quiet, but the buildings were filled with sleek, high-end stores.

The car slowed to a smooth stop outside a massive, upscale boutique with tall glass windows and security guards standing by the entrance.

Antonio didn’t wait for the driver to open the door.

He stepped out first, then pulled open her side and grabbed her arm before she could move away, guiding her firmly toward the entrance.

Livy pulled her arm back with a sharp glare, rubbing her wrist where his fingers had gripped her.

“I’m perfectly capable of walking on my own, thank you.”
