Yi Xuan did not leave until the banquet was about to come to an end.

During the event, Yi Xuan encountered Jing Junyan, who had arrived with the male Zerg of the Trevicon family. The three of them merely exchanged a fleeting glance and did not converse extensively. According to the outside world’s understanding, there should be no intersection between an heir who had just been found, a noble male Zerg who had recently awakened after a long coma following his disappearance, and the Third Imperial Prince.

However, in a corner hidden from sight, the terminals of the Third Imperial Prince and that noble male Zerg coincidentally brushed against each other.Full novel: The Dormitory’s Unlucky Soul Transmigrates into the Zerg World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Yi Xuan, I am heading off now. Chat via terminal if anything comes up.”

Leaving the banquet, Mo Er saw that it was getting late and intended to take his leave.

“I am heading out too. Ping me on the terminal if you need anything,” Xu Shize said, waving his wrist.

“Understood, stay safe.”

Yi Xuan nodded at both of them and boarded the spacecraft he had arrived in. Nois had not returned yet; he had messaged Yi Xuan earlier to let him go back first, while he himself summoned household staff to bring a new spacecraft to pick him up.

“Are you still following? Your spacecraft shouldn’t have a reason to break down again this time, right?” Just before boarding, Yi Xuan accidentally caught sight of that Zerg who was trying to sneak onto the ship.

“Master.”

Hearing Yi Xuan’s teasing, Mislert felt the guilt of being caught. He hurriedly lowered his head and gave Yi Xuan an awkward, soft call.

That trick again.

“Do not act cute to me. You have no reason to follow me this time.” Yi Xuan hardened his heart for once.

“Can you tell me the answer to the question you said you would consider earlier?”

Mislert slowly raised his head. He was biting his lip tightly, and the eyes he fixed on Yi Xuan were filled with anticipation and nervousness. But he was also afraid of hearing Yi Xuan’s cold and distant refusal. His head only lifted for a brief moment before drooping again. His fingers twisted together nervously, and his entire demeanor exuded an air of dejection.

“Tsk.”

“What answer do you want to hear from me?”

Seeing him like this, Yi Xuan, who had initially felt awkward, suddenly shifted. Those mischievous impulses bubbled up; he adopted a mentality of, “If you are awkward, then I won’t be.”

In truth, he had already decided on the answer long ago; he had only been hesitant before.

The Creator had become interested in the beings he created, not just because Mislert was the character he had written with the most care, but because of the character himself.

From his initial interest to the anxiety after discovering the secret, and now to the present, Yi Xuan thought: If the future is already fixed, can a Zerg from the future who transmigrates back change the trajectory of everything?

If it were possible, Yi Xuan felt he was willing to witness this accident. After all, the Creator is merciful. Of course, it was also because the matter itself was quite interesting. Yi Xuan had always enjoyed exploring the unknown.

Even if the future outcome remained bleak, he knew there was a way out, and he could find an escape route. Even if he were to lose everything, he could still walk away unscathed. After all, this was just a small game he was playing.

“Master.” Mislert bit his lip hard. He appeared flustered by Yi Xuan’s question. He was afraid the Master was testing him, and afraid of saying the wrong thing and earning even more disgust. In the end, he spoke his truest thought: “I want you to not annul our engagement.”

As Mislert said this, Yi Xuan sat on the hovering spacecraft, looking down at his every move from a superior position. After he finished speaking, Yi Xuan’s expression did not change in the slightest. He merely raised his eyebrows in interest and tapped his fingers lightly against the back of his other hand.

No one knew how much time had passed, but then Yi Xuan chuckled softly and said to Mislert, who was below the craft, “Get on.”

“!”

Mislert looked up abruptly, the surprise in his eyes barely contained. He moved with great speed, as if afraid Yi Xuan would change his mind, and stepped onto the spacecraft in one long stride.

Yi Xuan leaned his head back and gestured for Mislert to sit down.

The hovering spacecraft had its return route set beforehand. As soon as Mislert stepped on board, it was launched immediately.

“I haven’t even agreed to you yet. Why are you so happy?” Yi Xuan asked leisurely, his hands behind his head.

“No, it is fine. I will work hard to make you satisfied, Master.” Mislert sat with perfect posture. His face no longer bore the earlier worry, and although he remained expressionless, Yi Xuan felt he was clearly joyous.

In reality, Mislert knew that as long as his Master loosened his stance now, everything that followed would be much easier. After all, if the Master were willing to set a precedent, his bottom line would expand until he was thoroughly forgiven. After all, his Master had always been a god who was easily soft-hearted.

He had been afraid earlier that the Master would chase him away without even giving him a chance to show his worth, which would have meant he had no chance at all. Now, everything was slowly getting better.

“Whatever you say.”

“Master.”

The spacecraft did not stop in the underground garage but hovered just twenty centimeters above the garden of Yi Xuan’s villa.

“Do not follow me inside again. Take this spacecraft back today and return it to me next time. I am tired today and am going back to rest. I do not want to dwell on anything else.” Yi Xuan hopped off the spacecraft and said this to Mislert, who was preparing to follow him down.

“I, alright.” Mislert silently retracted his right foot and nodded, looking into Yi Xuan’s eyes.

Throughout the journey, he had been warning himself in his heart that he had done well today and should not be too aggressive, lest he annoy his Master. He had already done a great job; getting the Master to loosen his stance was enough. The rest would come slowly; he could not be impatient.

“You should rest quickly when you get back.” Yi Xuan offered this final word of advice before leaving.

“Master, are you concerned about me?” Mislert’s eyes lit up instantly.

“If you want to think so, then so be it.” Yi Xuan turned around, not letting Mislert see the expression on his face.

“Alright, Master. I will rest well and will not make you worry. You must rest well too and not overwork yourself. I will wait for you forever and ever, until you are willing to marry me.” Mislert’s professions of love were always sudden, but they were also scorching and sincere.

“Shameless.” Yi Xuan paused slightly as he heard Mislert’s words, his voice muffled.

Although he said that, Yi Xuan finally gave a response.

“Mm.”

Until the villa door was opened and closed again, Mislert could not suppress the smile on his lips. Today was truly, truly a happy day.
