“Knock, knock, knock.”

“Come in.”

While it was called the Imperial Study, looking at it closely, it resembled an oversized office. That was just how it sounded, though.Full novel: The Dormitory’s Unlucky Soul Transmigrates into the Zerg World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The Zerg Emperor was currently carefully reading the document in front of him. Any document that reached him was critical, so he had always been rigorous when dealing with these things.

A knock sounded from outside, but the hardworking Emperor did not pay much attention, assuming it was just another official entering to report a matter or deliver an important document.

“Father! I have brought Yi Xuan and the others over.”

The door was pushed open. The first words spoken by the Zerg who entered almost caused the Emperor to drop the pen in his hand.

“You brat, why are you so jumpy? Come in quickly.” The Emperor rubbed his forehead helplessly and said to the doorway.

“Father, I have brought the Zergs to you. Why did you ask for them?” After entering, Xu Shize sat down boisterously on the armrest of the Emperor’s chair.

“You, you really have not changed at all. You were loud before you regained your senses, and you are still the same after.” Although the Emperor’s words carried a tone of scolding, his face was filled with kindness; it was more like he was teasing him.

Xu Shize was the Emperor’s child born in his later years. He was already spoiled when he was simple-minded, and now that he had regained his senses, he was even more doted upon. Almost every request he made was met with an answer.

“Oh, Father.” Xu Shize scratched his head in embarrassment.

Even though he had transmigrated here for many days, facing this kind of affection that he had never experienced before, Xu Shize still felt quite overwhelmed.

“Haha, you must be An-An’s friends. Actually, I have wanted to see you for a long time, but I never found the time. Thank you very much for taking care of An-An.”

“You guys sit over there; do not stand. It is tiring,” the Emperor said with a smile.

Facing the gratitude of the highest power in the Empire, Mo Er appeared very flattered, while Yi Xuan, although slightly better off, was still a bit excited.

It was a very strange feeling.

Having heard this, Yi Xuan immediately raised a proper smile at the Emperor and said, “You are too kind. We are friends with Dian, and he has taken care of us as well.”

“Yi Xuan is right. Your Majesty, you are overpraising us,” Mo Er added with a nod.

“Dian is my son. I know very well what he was like before. You are Dian’s friends, so you do not need to be so formal,” the Emperor said with a kind smile.

Clearly, the Emperor had called them here without any other important business, aside from asking about basic well-being.

After an hour had passed, the Emperor saw that it was enough and let the three Zergs leave, while he continued to correct the piles of documents on his desk.

In the end, after Yi Xuan and Mo Er left the palace, they did not follow Xu Shize to the couples’ amusement park he had mentioned earlier. However, before parting ways, they still managed to fleece a few tickets for the amusement park from Xu Shize.

The excuse was: “I may not be going, but you cannot fail to fulfill what you promised.”

After all that tossing and turning, it was already past 5:00 or nearly 6:00 PM when Yi Xuan arrived home.

The sun was gradually setting, and the fiery red glow of the sunset dyed half the sky. Yi Xuan had just arrived home and taken a shower when the sound of the fingerprint lock unlocking the front door echoed from below.

Because Yi Xuan had just showered, steam was still rising from his body. His cat-themed pajamas had just been taken away by Xiao Dingdang to be washed, so he had to throw on a random piece of clothing to come out. His freshly washed pink hair hung damply beside his ears. Being a bit lazy, Yi Xuan did not blow-dry his hair but let it air-dry naturally.

Tap, tap, tap.

“Lord, I am home from work.”

Hearing the familiar sound of him coming downstairs, Mislert immediately looked up and smiled at Yi Xuan.

“Hmm, welcome back.” Yi Xuan smiled and said.

After Mislert finished changing his shoes, Yi Xuan was already sprawled out on the sofa. As for why he did not curl up in his beanbag chair, it was because his hair was not dry yet, and lying down would be quite uncomfortable.

Mislert was carrying a cake from Yi Xuan’s favorite internet-famous restaurant. As he approached, he discovered that Yi Xuan had not even dried his hair. He knelt halfway in front of Yi Xuan, holding the cake in front of him, and asked softly, “Lord, would you like to eat some cake?”

“Hmm? Yes!” Yi Xuan turned his head and happened to see the familiar brand.

“Then could you let me blow-dry your hair, Lord?” Mislert asked gently.

“As you please.”

Yi Xuan sat up and opened the cake, paying no attention to what Mislert was doing behind him.

The Zerg race also had hair dryers, but compared to the old antiques from Earth, they were clearly much more advanced.

Mislert turned on the wireless hair dryer. The air seemed to appear out of thin air without any noisy hum, but the air blown out was just warm enough, and the hair dried very quickly.

Yi Xuan’s pink hair hung down to his neck. Natural pink hair was worlds apart from dyed hair; his hair was very smooth. When fingers ran through the strands, there was almost no obstruction, sliding straight to the ends.

The cake Mislert brought back was not large. By the time he had eaten half of it, his hair was almost dry.

When Mislert put away the hair dryer and sat down beside him, Yi Xuan handed over the half-eaten cake, “Here, you finish it.”

Receiving the cake his Lord handed him, the one he liked best, Mislert thanked him with a look of surprise.

“Lord, did you go out today?”

“Hmm, I went out with Dian, Mo Er, and the others.” Yi Xuan nodded and curled up into his beanbag chair.

“Why are you looking at me like that? Want to know what we did?” Noticing the restrained gaze beside him, Yi Xuan raised his head and asked.

“Yes, I really want to care about where you went to play today, Lord. If you like it, we can go together next time. But if you do not want to say, you do not need to mind me.” Mislert looked at Yi Xuan and said.

“You actually just want to know my itinerary to see if I went messing around with Mo Er, right?” Yi Xuan saw through him in a second.

“Sorry, Lord. If you do not like it, I will not ask next time.” Mislert immediately lowered his head.

“It is fine. Today, the Zerg Emperor summoned Mo Er and me, so we went to the Imperial Palace.” Yi Xuan, who had long known Mislert’s personality, did not mind these things and said indifferently.

“Next time you want to know something about me, just ask directly. I do not like going around in circles. What I am willing to say, I will naturally say. If I am not willing to say it, asking more or testing me more is useless and quite annoying.” Yi Xuan rubbed his face and said.

“Yes, Lord.”

“I just hope that, if possible, Lord can give me a status so that I can truly ask you these questions?” Mislert threw out the question he had always wanted to ask.

“For example?” Yi Xuan pretended not to know.

“For example, as Lord’s male consort. Mislert wants to be Lord’s male consort.” He took a deep breath and said to Yi Xuan seriously.

However, he was still holding the cake in his hands. Although the expression on his face was sincere, it still looked a bit funny.

“Ha, is that what this is for?” Yi Xuan pretended he had just realized, sitting up. He rested his chin on his hands, looking thoughtful, keeping Mislert’s gaze fixed on him. Then, he spoke slowly, “But, are you not always my future male consort? Did we not have an engagement before?”

“If I remember correctly, this engagement should still be valid. As long as I pass the sub-adult stage, we can register our marriage.”

“!!!”
