Following his conversation with Nezu, Sukuna went back to class with Aizawa, feeling much calmer now that he was let in on the principal’s plan.
Even though he didn’t know what the plan actually was, the fact that Nezu still told him about his theory and assured him was satisfying enough.
Drawing looks from Mirio, who was concerned, Sukuna just sighed.
“Don’t worry about it, Mirio.
I just asked if Aizawa captured the villain that was responsible for creating that abomination.
I’m fine.” He nodded at his friend, years of lying in his past life making their use shine here.
A bad liar couldn’t even keep a straight face when lying to their own friends, let alone lying to themselves.
A good liar can mix in truth with deceit.
Sukuna did just that, not sharing any more information with Mirio, as he sat down on his desk, refocusing on the sports festival.
“U.A is going to give all of you a 14-day break so that you can all prepare for the sports festival.
No more, no less.
Don’t embarrass me, that’s all I’ll tell you.” And with that, Aizawa left the class.
Now that class was technically over, everybody could go home…
But they chose to stay and hang out instead, because it was more fun.
“Sukuna..
I didn’t know you were that worried about the situation.
I’m just glad it’s over, that’s all.” Mirio spoke up, looking at him with a surprised expression.
“Mirio, you should’ve seen what I have seen inside that thing.
It was disgusting.” Sukuna spat, his eyes narrowing.
“And it was an abomination, anybody who could make something even close to that thing needs to be locked up.” He grumbled, giving Mirio a serious look.
Mirio, understanding where his friend was coming from, nodded.
“You’re right, but 3 Quirks in one body?
I wonder how it’s regeneration quirk was even keeping it together.” He wondered aloud, drawing the curious stare of one Nejire Hado.
Nejire, who had been having a nice conversation with Yuyu, Tsuki and Hiyori, naturally shifted her desk closer to where Sukuna was.
“I know, right?!
This Doc Seismic guy must be an evil genius!
Imagine if that monster could become a hero, instead.” She said, and Tsuki blinked.
“Hado, I don’t think a brainless creature can even have a license.
Isn’t that what Midoriya said?
That it couldn’t think?” She looked at the aforementioned boy curiously, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
“How could you know?” She asked, which had the class drop whatever conversation they had, focusing in on Sukuna.
“Midoriya, I don’t mean to share her suspicion, but do you also have a mind-reading quirk?” Hiyori asked, looking at him with an exasperated expression.
‘Looks like she’s still trying to guess what my third quirk is, eh?’ Sukuna chuckled at Hiyori, before answering.
“It’s simple, I could see the outline of that things soul.” He casually dropped, which had everybody gape at him.
Tsuki, for her part, looked at him with an expression that said something along the lines of..
‘Are you serious?’ “Yeah, before anybody can ask, souls are real.
And yes, I can see the outline of each of your souls.
My own, too.
That’s how you get to perceive the souls of other people, actually, by figuring out what the shape of your own soul looks like.” Sukuna shared with the class, acting like their teacher, with him even standing on top of the podium and clapping his right hand with a ruler.
A ruler that he promptly pulled out of his bag.
“I’m sure none of you are even close to even perceiving a faint shape of your soul yet, so don’t worry, Sukuna-sensei will teach all of you until you pass.” He nodded seriously.
The class nodded back at him.
“Pffft..” Nejire began to crack up, and that was the key that opened the floodgates.
Everybody was too busy laughing, that they completely forgot about how absurd Sukuna’s feat truly was.
‘To be fair, they didn’t live 2 lives beforehand either.
Or have their memories completely intact.’ Sukuna smiled, happy that his classmates could finally drop their guard around him.
It was nice.
It felt nice..
To be trusted.
“Whats next?
Are you gonna curse us, too?” Mirio added to the joke, shivering comically, as he wrapped his arms around himself.
“Sukuna-sensei..
It’s too indecent for you to curse me in public~” The classroom erupted even louder, some of them even crying out of laughter.
“You brat..” Sukuna himself chuckled, already starting to walk out of the classroom.
“I’ll be off to train for the festival.
You guys know where to contact me if you need any help, and Keiko, I didn’t forget about you either.” He looked at the foreign girl, before throwing a notebook at her, watching her clumsily catch it.
She was laughing just as hard, which made him happy that his teaching was working out.
“Thank you, Sukuna.” She spoke to him in English, wiping her tears.
“You’re welcome.” He replied, before starting his journey back home.
____________________ After 20 minutes of walking, Sukuna finally made it back to his apartment, opening the door and greeting his mother.
Once his gaze fell on Izuku’s door, Sukuna smirked, an evil glint shining in his eyes.
Kicking the door open, Sukuna yelled.
“Oi!
Wake up, you damn brat!” Imitating a certain Mitsuki Bakugo, Sukuna was surprised to see Izuku already awake and doing push-ups on his own.
Sukuna had never been more proud.
Wiping a tear from his eye, he looked at his younger brother seriously.
“I’ll be home for two weeks straight, sports festival preparation and all that yap.
That means..
2 weeks of sparring with your older brother!” Sukuna spread his arms wide, grinning at Izuku.
Izuku just rolled his eyes at him.
“Don’t you have a life outside of fighting or training?” He sighed.
“Don’t you have a life outside of chasing heroism?” Sukuna shot back, which prompted Izuku to shut up.
“Fine, fine.
But older brother, wouldn’t it be better for you to prepare too?” Izuku asked, looking at him with a bit of concern.
“Cute.
But no, did you forget who I am?” Sukuna chuckled at his concern, rubbing Izuku on the head with his fist.
“Yeah..
You’re The Strongest.” Izuku smiled at him, before pointing towards a poster in his room.
“With the exception of All Might, of course.” The younger boy declared confidently.
“I can beat All Might’s ass with ease.” “Nuh uh.” “Yuh uh.” And so on and so forth their bickering went, as the two brothers got ready to spar.
Sukuna just grinned.
