“Can you please tell me what your quirk is?” Nejire Hado asked, her voice echoing in the now silent atmosphere.
The other students leaned in, also interested to hear about the strongest student in their class.
At this point in time, with the rankings and Sukuna’s dominant performance in the tests that Aizawa gave them, it was clear to everybody that there were people who were simply built different.
Some even had a thought running through their heads, an impossibility that could still happen.
‘What if he’s the next All Might?’ Some thought, their awe at Sukuna’s sheer strength clear, but their bias and respect towards the Symbol of Peace was too strong to even consider Sukuna replacing him now.
It was only a future possibility, and yet..
That thought was already spreading through the minds of other students, the silver-haired girl from earlier stepping out and speaking to him with a much calmer tone.
“Yeah, Hado’s right.
Midoriya, your quirk looks like it’s only a body enhancement type..
But I beg to differ.
I was personally there, no, we all were when we saw you walk out of that crater.
There is no way a punch from you could generate that much force, especially after we’ve seen how you performed in this Quirk Assessment test.” Sukuna blinked at her rapid explanation, yet he could only smile at her, chuckling at how perceptive this girl was.
“I..
Also want to know.
I’m Yuyu Haya, the weakest of the class, I guess..
I’d like to know where you, the strongest, stands.
I think it’s obvious to everybody that you’re the strongest student around currently, so it’s natural to be curious.
We don’t mean to pry.” The red haired girl from earlier, the one who was about to walk home, explained in a hurried tone, perhaps thinking that he was offended in some way.
“No need for you guys to be so nervous, my quirk is simple.
It’s called Cursed Energy, a type of energy I can manipulate to do all sorts of things, which stems from my negative emotions.” Sukuna explained to Yuyu and Nejire calmly.
Nejire, who had gained more confidence at this point, stepped forward and dragged Sukuna upwards as well, her strength surprising the reincarnated sorcerer.
“But…
That still doesn’t explain what you did at the entrance exam.
Did you fire a beam of Cursed Energy at the zero pointer?
Or did you make a rasengan?
Or did you unleash a getsuga tensho at that robot?!” She continued to fire off question after question, her tone turning more excited and her smile growing brighter.
“None of those things.” Sukuna replied, trying to keep the girl from pouncing on him, which was getting increasingly difficult to do so.
Why was she so damn strong?!
“Cursed Energy is technically something that everybody in this class, and in the world, possess.
You all simply don’t have the Quirk capable of manipulating it.
Some people can also be born with a thing called a Cursed Technique, just think of it as a pseudo-Quirk that you can develop alongside your own.
Technically speaking, I have 3 Quirks.” Sukuna calmly dropped this bomb on the class, making the entire class look at him in silence.
Some were skeptical, and some were so shocked that they simply gaped at him, their eyebrows twitching at the lack of fairness.
“Now then, I’m gonna be off.
Here’s my number, by the way, so you can all invite me to the class group chat.” Sukuna yawned, stretching his arms, as he pushed away Nejire, who had stars in her eyes.
Sukuna walked away, Mirio and Tamaki joining him, as he raised a brow at their equally-shocked expressions.
“I know what you’re going to say, Suku-chan..
But we’re shocked because we thought you had 2 Quirks!
Not 3!!” Mirio exploded, his eyes wide with shock and excitement.
“So?
What is your third quirk?
Can you pleaaaaaase tell us?” “No.” “Pretty please?” “No.” “Pretty please with a cherry on top?” “No.” “Ugh, fine.” Mirio slumped, visibly deflating, which made Sukuna wonder if the boy had a quirk that turned his body into rubber.
“I’m keeping it as a secret for now, but my third Quirk is no less powerful than my first two.
That’s all I’m telling you.” Sukuna smirked, not wanting anybody to find out about a certain divine General.
Mostly because it was fun, and mostly because Sukuna knew that any future villain would look into the sports festival to see what Sukuna’s abilities were, so Sukuna having a hidden card to use at desperate times was a tactical move that would have immense use.
It was also one of the main factors in his victory over Satoru Gojo, which was Satoru Gojo’s lack of knowledge on Sukuna’s shrine, while Sukuna himself knew everything about Gojo’s limitless.
Shaking his head, Sukuna continued to walk out of the school, his steps steady and confident.
____________________ Returning home and greeting his mother, Sukuna was surprised by the sight of Izuku training on his own, yet he felt pride in his own younger brother.
Sukuna knew that Izuku was a hard worker, but he still couldn’t help but remember the way his younger brother complained when he forced him to a sparring match, or forcefully had Izuku walk with him to build up his stamina, or the time when he forcefully taught Izuku martial arts..
‘Good times.’ Sukuna smiled, which made Izuku shiver once he noticed his older brother return.
Sukuna simply gave him a nod, walking to his own room to continue his experiments with Cursed Energy.
Closing the door behind him, Sukuna dropped down on his bed and immediately began to pull out multiple strings, all of them made of Cursed Energy, out of seemingly random positions on his body.
This seemingly random positioning wasn’t random at all, as Sukuna was trying to recreate extra arms made from pure Cursed Energy, so that he could finally regain his final trump card that let him defeat Satoru Gojo.
The World Cutting Slash.
Sukuna knew of it, yet he couldn’t perform it due to the binding vow he made during the time.
Sukuna, back then, actually had a method of restoring his true form, making the binding vow for the World Cutting Slash seemingly useless.
But in this life, he had no such method.
He was born in this body, not his four-armed one, which means that he was technically in his true form already.
But Sukuna already had a method of fixing this problem, as he had gained inspiration from the finger bearer that he fought earlier on in the Modern Era.
That finger bearer could shoot beams made from pure Cursed Energy, which is a crude method of using the power system, yet it sparked an idea in Sukuna that was actually possible.
Regrowing his arms without using flesh and blood, but using Cursed Energy itself.
He would also regrow a mouth, but he still hadn’t figured out how to project his own voice through a second mouth made from pure Cursed Energy.
He had tested it, and the results were disappointing to say the least.
For now, he would focus on regrowing his arms, which would increase his overall control and efficiency with Cursed Energy.
It would also help to serve as a foundation for him to call upon, to use the experience in regrowing his arms to make the process of regrowing his second mouth much easier in turn.
Sukuna held up a thin string of Cursed Energy, watching, as it continued to grow bigger in size, thanks to him pouring more Cursed Energy into it.
The string grew into a ball, which was the size of a fist, before dissolving.
Sukuna grumbled, knowing that making a truly whole arm would be extremely difficult.
Still, making a fist with Cursed Energy was progress, and he wasnt going to give up anytime soon.
Giving up was what losers resorted to, and Sukuna was anything but a sore loser.
