"Could you die for me??" (Raynare)
A woman with black hair, purple eyes, and an extremely wicked smile, wearing an outfit that revealed much of her body, was holding a light spear while staring down a young man with brown hair.
"What??" (Issei)
Issei only had time to utter those words before being pierced by the black-haired girl with black wings; the brown-haired boy collapsed to the ground as the light of his life faded away.
"Blame God for giving you this power; I wouldn't have to kill you if you didn't possess a Sacred Gear." (Raynare)
The black-winged woman teleported away via a magic circle while Hyoudou stared at his blood-stained hand, lost in thought.
"This red... That red hair of hers... I wanted to touch her breasts..." (Issei)
Issei was closing his eyes when he saw a woman with crimson hair teleporting in through a red magic circle; she was smiling as she looked down at him gently.
"I will save you; I arrived too late." (Rias)
The Gremory used her Pawn pieces when she realized it was the only way, but something caught her attention—the number of pawns was too high.
"Eight pawns to bring him back to life?? He must have a Sacred Gear. The Fallen Angels are plotting something, but first, I will save this boy." (Rias)
Rias wasted no time as a circle enveloped Issei. The boy knew nothing more; he couldn't understand anything happening around him because his mind was in a haze from the injury.
... ... ...
Hyoudou Issei opened his eyes hesitantly, thinking he might be in the afterlife; there was no way he could have survived, and the landscape around him truly looked like another world.
"Is this the afterlife??" (Issei)
The young man walked through the empty environment; the place he found himself in looked like a majestic palace. As the doors opened, he felt as if King Yama's judgment was coming for him.
"I hope King Yama doesn't send me to Hell." (Issei)
Issei was very nervous as he entered the palace that should have belonged to King Yama, but no one was there. Instead, there was only a golden throne with dragon adornments and a well-dressed man wearing a blindfold.
"It seems you have arrived. I have been waiting for our meeting." (???)
The pervert was still lost in thought, thinking this person was King Yama come to judge him.
"Are you King Yama??" (Issei)
The man on the throne stood up and gestured with his hands, denying his identity as King Yama; he was someone else entirely.
"I am Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor, and soon, I shall be your Master." (Qin)
Issei wasn't much of a student, but he knew who Qin Shi Huang was—the Emperor of China, the first emperor of that great nation.
"My master?? What the hell is going on??" (Issei)
A silver chair with dragon adornments appeared for the frightened youth to sit in. Qin gestured for him to get comfortable, saying he would explain soon.
"Sit." (Qin)
"Okay." (Issei)
Issei settled into the silver throne. The Emperor then returned to his golden throne and faced Hyoudou.
"This is the mental space of the Sacred Gear called the Lost Emperor. Sacred Gears are weapons given by God to humans at random, and you are one of those chosen to possess these weapons. The weapon of the Lost Emperor is this mental space; those who inherit my Sacred Gear must train with me and inherit my martial arts. Therefore, the true power of my weapon is my teachings and a few other tricks I won't reveal just yet." (Qin)
The young boy took a breath, shocked that God existed, that such weapons existed, and everything else.
"How long will I be here??" (Issei)
"Six months." (Qin)
Issei stood up from his throne, startled. He couldn't stay for six months—that was too much time.
"It will be six months here, but it will only be one week in the real world." (Qin)
The boy felt a bit better now; one week in the real world was a short time and could be managed.
"What are we going to train?? Kung Fu??" (Issei)
Hyoudou thought the Emperor was going to teach him Kung Fu since he mentioned martial arts.
"No, I will teach you my personal martial art, though in weaker versions; your body won't be able to handle the full version of my style. The training will be divided into three levels: the first level is the Animal Style, a weaker version of my martial art; the second level is the Mythic Style, a slightly more advanced version; and the third level is the Chi You Style, the complete martial art." (Qin)
"Will I learn the Animal Style in these six months??" (Issei)
"Yes, but you will still have to train in the real world to adapt your body to the martial art." (Qin)
Issei felt strange about having to train, but he grew excited thinking he wouldn't be killed by anything like Raynare again.
"You will also be taught how to act like a King." (Qin)
The modern-born youth was a bit hesitant about that; acting like a king wasn't something he ever thought about.
"Will acting like a King be useful??" (Issei)
"It will be useful for dealing with certain situations. You are very immature, and these lessons will help you in battle and in your personal life." (Qin)
Issei thought of something and wanted Qin's answer, as there were certain things he couldn't give up.
"I won't stop being a pervert or become a copy of you." (Issei)
"I want to make you into the Monarch named Hyoudou Issei, not a second Qin Shi Huang." (Qin)
"Then let's train." (Issei)
Both Issei and Qin stood up, smiling; both were determined to go through this training.
"Kneel before me and accept me as your teacher; this is a Chinese formality for disciples and masters." (Qin)
Issei decided to kneel before Qin Shi Huang; he had nothing but respect for the man in front of him, as he was the only one he could trust in this new world he had just entered.
"From now on, I am no longer an Emperor of China to you; I am your Teacher, and I will guide you on the path of the Emperor." (Qin)
"Yes, Sensei." (Issei)
Hyoudou Issei accepted Qin Shi Huang's words. The two would tread a path toward greatness from this moment on.
