Qin Chaomu didn’t respond, her expression was visibly stunned.

What did that feeling feel like?

It was like a sliver of shimmering light emerging from a distant, thin forest after the mist had settled over the steaming vernal grass of March.Full novel: The Entertainment Industry’s Famous Fraud Couple — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

When Shen Guai’s body landed honestly in Qin Chaomu’s embrace, Qin Chaomu’s thoughts were pulled back to reality. The girl in her arms had skin as smooth and tender as porcelain jade, radiating the youthful aura of a twenty-year-old.

Shen Guai was a star who had risen from the public eye, her looks were one in ten thousand. Even now, surrounded by the god-awful scent of alcohol, Qin Chaomu could still detect traces of sweetness from her.

“Why did you drink?”

Masking her concern, Qin Chaomu used her habitual tone of mockery: “You were already stupid; you’re even stupider when you’re drunk.”

Shen Guai remained silent. Perhaps her brain had stopped functioning, unable to distinguish between reality and illusion. She tilted her chin up, her dark eyes misty with vapor. Her lips, pink and bouncy like jelly, parted slightly. Then, standing on her tiptoes, she pressed a kiss onto Qin Chaomu’s dimple.

“It’s not you…”

Qin Chaomu raised a hand to touch her dimple. The girl in her arms was still gazing at her in a daze. The girl undid the belt of her dress, the fabric fell away, revealing porcelain-white skin right before Qin Chaomu’s eyes.

Qin Chaomu didn’t dare reach out to touch her, but as soon as she pulled her hand back, Shen Guai swayed as if she were about to collapse. Left with no choice, Qin Chaomu reluctantly held her steady.

The smooth sensation beneath her fingertips made Qin Chaomu’s head spin. She frequented various social circles and had seen no shortage of women throwing themselves at her, but she had never seen anyone this direct.

Especially since this person was Shen Guai.

“Just how much did you drink?”

Qin Chaomu took a breath. Shen Guai’s face was very close, so close she could feel Shen Guai’s slightly hurried breathing, and even her own.

“Just a little…”

Shen Guai gestured exaggeratedly with her hands. She hooked her arms around Qin Chaomu’s slender neck and pecked her on the lips once more.

“Why are you afraid to look at me? Am I not pretty?”

The wicked thoughts rising within her made Qin Chaomu irritable, yet her gaze involuntarily drifted over Shen Guai. This was the first time Qin Chaomu had seen Shen Guai…really, completely seen her.

“Compared to the women you’ve slept with, where do I rank?” Shen Guai asked, her speech slurred.

“What kind of nonsense are you talking…”

Qin Chaomu used every ounce of her logic to try and steady her breathing. The woman in her arms was like a peach on a tree in the early morning, smelling sweet and delicious. It was hard for someone “starving” not to harbor ulterior motives, wanting nothing more than to devour her whole.

“Sister…”

The girl in her arms spoke with a husky voice, lifting her moving little face to stare straight into Qin Chaomu’s eyes.

Her remaining logic collapsed at that moment. A flush appeared on Qin Chaomu’s face. Shen Guai was like an exquisite, high-end dessert on a dinner table; her flawless appearance made one hesitate to ruin it, yet crave to possess it.

“Sister, sleep with me.”

Shen Guai cupped Qin Chaomu’s face. Her voice was tiny, like ants crawling into the skin, making one itch all over. It was also like a demon’s whisper, impossible to resist.

“Sister, sleep with me, okay?”

Shen Guai’s eyelids drooped. Her nose brushed against Qin Chaomu’s, and she leaned in for a kiss.

Suppressing her heartbeat, Qin Chaomu knitted her brows and closed her eyes, trying her hardest to endure the restlessness in her body. The numbness on her lips was like waves crashing against rocks, wave after wave. Qin Chaomu didn’t push Shen Guai away, but she didn’t respond either.

The girl in her arms looked at her aggrievedly. Compared to her previous plea, this time her voice carried a hint of a tremble. “Do you hate me? Sister?”

You little brat, where did you learn these seductive tricks?

Qin Chaomu dumped Shen Guai onto the bed and walked irritably into the bathroom. She turned on the exhaust fan, took out an e-cigarette, and took a heavy drag.

Taking advantage of someone?

No, no… absolutely cannot do that kind of thing.

But…

The flame rising from her heart felt as though it had been fed endless firewood, burning fiercely. Qin Chaomu felt like a chicken on a spit, about to be scorched.

“Qin Chaomu, have you never seen a woman before?” She rubbed her cheeks, her fingers accidentally brushing her lips. The burning sensation returned.

She really wanted to rush out and sleep with Shen Guai.

She turned the water temperature to the lowest setting, stripped off her pajamas, and lay down in the bathtub. The piercing cold lowered her body temperature. Qin Chaomu’s mood gradually settled, but when she closed her eyes, her mind was filled with Shen Guai’s face.

Qin Chaomu sighed and opened her eyes, but Shen Guai’s face was still there.

“Ah! When did you come in?”

Qin Chaomu was scared half to death, instinctively covering herself. Shen Guai looked at her dazed, her bare feet on the tiled floor.

“You… you go out first. I’ll stay with you in a bit, okay?” Qin Chaomu was flushed with embarrassment. She curled her body up and grabbed a towel, trying to wrap it around herself.

In the next second, water splashed into the air and landed all over the floor. Shen Guai stepped directly into the bathtub and knelt down. Her hands braced against the edge of the tub above Qin Chaomu’s head as she leaned down, looking at Qin Chaomu with a sense of pressure.

“You…”

“A-choo!”

The icy water made Shen Guai shiver. She bit her lower lip, her face which looked like it could produce water, flushed with the redness of alcohol. Shen Guai looked completely innocent, her sweet voice slightly raspy from the drinking: “It’s cold. Can Sister give me a hug?”

“It’s so cold, please, Sister…”

Qin Chaomu slumped powerless against the wall of the tub, closed her eyes, and let out a long sigh.

How can this woman be so wild when she’s drunk?

The cold water made Shen Guai’s originally pinkish-white skin turn even redder. Her dainty face was masked with a blurred desire. In those watery eyes, Qin Chaomu saw her own reflection.

Qin Chaomu licked the corner of her lips and hurriedly grabbed a wine glass from the table next to the tub, it contained red wine that had been breathing for a while. Qin Chaomu often suffered from insomnia, and drinking red wine was her bedtime habit. But right now, she wanted to drink not because of insomnia, but because she was simply too “thirsty.”

Unexpectedly, the glass was snatched away by Shen Guai just as it reached her lips. Before Qin Chaomu could react, Shen Guai had taken a sip.

“Didn’t I tell you not to drink anymore… you!”

Shen Guai didn’t swallow it. She blocked Qin Chaomu’s lips, and the wine held in her mouth was delivered entirely into Qin Chaomu’s.

“Sister doesn’t like it when I drink?”

Shen Guai’s gaze landed on the red wine stain remaining on the corner of Qin Chaomu’s mouth. She leaned in again and licked Qin Chaomu’s lips.

“I only want this much.”

The tart red wine was still swirling on the tip of Qin Chaomu’s tongue. She swallowed it with difficulty, feeling a sense of being unable to parry the attack.

“Sister, it’s cold.”

Shen Guai’s lips were pressed against Qin Chaomu’s. As she spoke, their lips rubbed against each other intermittently. It was very itchy not the lips, but Qin Chaomu’s heart.

Qin Chaomu tried hard to persuade herself to stay calm. The more critical the moment, the more she couldn’t let her head be turned. But facing Shen Guai’s round after round of offensives, she didn’t know how to solve this “problem,” and could only let Shen Guai have her way.

She’s just drunk. Maybe she’ll sleep once she’s tired from the commotion.

Qin Chaomu’s face grew redder and redder. She began to silently recite the Heart Sutra she had just transcribed.

As it turns out, those with “unclean roots” are not easily saved. The more Qin Chaomu recited the sutra, the more chaotic thoughts filled her mind. Ultimately, it was all because of that damn sweet scent emanating from Shen Guai. Even if she closed her eyes, she couldn’t escape the direct sensory assault.

When she opened her eyes again, Shen Guai’s head had dropped onto her shoulder, she had fallen fast asleep.

“Buddha bless me.”

Qin Chaomu’s whole body went limp. She stroked Shen Guai’s hanging hair. After confirming she was truly asleep, it felt like a thousand-pound burden had been lifted from her heart.

The girl’s even breathing was accompanied by small murmurs. Qin Chaomu’s heart stirred. She propped herself up, took a new bath towel, wrapped it around Shen Guai, and carried her out of the bathtub.

Qin Chaomu pulled up a chair to sit by the bed, carefully wiping the water from Shen Guai’s body and hair. Shen Guai’s double eyelids were large but not deep, her looks were completely non-aggressive, which was the polar opposite of her personality.

“She’ll catch a cold, right?”

Qin Chaomu frowned, tucked the quilt around Shen Guai, and walked alone to the balcony, leaning tiredly against the transparent glass door. She didn’t smoke the e-cigarette, but pulled out a slim cigarette from the small table on the balcony.

The spark of the lighter reflected on her face as the smoke was slowly exhaled. Qin Chaomu touched her lips, her frown deepening. After finishing one cigarette, she lit another. It took three cigarettes in a row for her to finally stop.

Gazing blankly at the night view outside, Qin Chaomu pouted and sighed, “Qin Chaomu, you shouldn’t have pretended to be so dignified just now. What now?”

“No, no, Qin Chaomu. If you really slept with her like that, would you even be human?”

Qin Chaomu slapped her own head, kicked the wall with her long legs, put on her Bluetooth headphones, and started listening to the Great Compassion Mantra. After the song finished, she felt much better.

Just as she was about to pull open the glass door, she remembered that Shen Guai didn’t like the smell of smoke. So, Qin Chaomu grabbed a magazine with her on the cover and stood in the cold wind, fanning herself for half an hour.

Only when she could no longer smell the smoke on herself did she walk lightly back into the room and lie down next to Shen Guai.

The scent on Shen Guai fascinated her. Qin Chaomu turned on her side to face Shen Guai’s back. She wanted to reach out and pull her close, but thought better of it, eventually pressing both hands under her pillow.

Qin Chaomu buried her head in the crook of Shen Guai’s neck and took a sniff, the familiar sweet scent went to her head again. She closed her eyes and pressed a light kiss on Shen Guai’s hair.

Suddenly opening her eyes, Shen Guai’s brow slowly furrowed. The corners of her mouth turned down, and her eyes were filled with disappointment. Only after the person behind her remained still for a long time did Shen Guai turn over to face Qin Chaomu, silently watching her beautiful sleeping face.

Qin Chaomu’s lip shape was very pretty soft and sexy. They looked very kissable. Shen Guai leaned in, wanting to kiss her, but stopped mid-air.

Shen Guai sighed and imitated Qin Chaomu, tucking her hands under the pillow and resting her forehead against Qin Chaomu’s. This time, she finally closed her eyes.

SLAP!

Qin Chaomu’s morning was greeted by a crisp slap to the face.
