Ye Uwon typed in chat to reassure the others.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: why, you upset?

Gisekki, seeing that Ye Uwon wasn’t reacting, threw in another jab just to provoke him.Full novel: The Etiquette of the Gi Sehwa — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

(Assassin) NyamNyami: seriously, Gise-nim, that’s too—

Unable to watch anymore, NyamNyami tried to step in.

‘Uh-oh, this might actually turn into a fight.’

Before things could escalate, Ye Uwon quickly stepped in to diffuse the tension.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I’m sorry.

(Whisper) BaekKimchi: Wait, why are you the one apologizing;;

BaekKimchi messaged back instantly, practically foaming at the mouth.

(Whisper) BaekKimchi: No, for real, I’m going straight to the Guild Master this time.

That guy doesn’t even talk to anyone else, so why is he always like this to you???

BaekKimchi was visibly angry, but Ye Uwon honestly didn’t feel that bothered.

(Whisper) YeUbeomjeol: No, it was my mistake just now.

(Whisper) BaekKimchi: Oh come on;; YeU-nim;; are you a saint or something;

Reading BaekKimchi’s speechless reply, Ye Uwon tilted his head with a flat expression.

‘But he’s right, though?’

Sure, Gisekki’s tone was harsh—but everything he said made sense.

‘Besides, he clearly knows a lot about the Dragon Knight class.’

Ye Uwon actually thought Gisekki’s feedback was pretty solid.

He’d never met a DPS who brought up not just shield skills, but swamp control and aggro management too.

‘Honestly, that way does seem more optimal.’

If he’d done it Gisekki’s way, NyamNyami would’ve died—but they would’ve skipped the monster wave and finished the phase early.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I’ll work on it. Please point things out next time too, if I mess up.

Did he study the class or something?

He understood Dragon Knight mechanics this well?

(Necromancer) Gisekki: ..huh? lol

(Necromancer) Gisekki: lmaooooo

Suddenly, Gisekki—who had been chatty a second ago—paused, and then burst into laughter.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: lololololol next time?

Ye Uwon had no idea that Gisekki would interpret his apology and sincerity as a challenge.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: next time? lol

A challenge, of all things.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: lol this guy can’t even do this.

Ye Uwon realized the truth while they were taking on the second boss of Round 2: Twilight Fair.

Gisekki was even more unhinged now than in Round 1—doing everything he could to tear Ye Uwon down.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: I could do better with my feet.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: why you standing there?

(Necromancer) Gisekki: lololol if the tank knew what he was doing, we’d be done already

Gisekki nitpicked every single pattern.

At first, Ye Uwon thought Gisekki was still mostly right—but eventually, even he had to admit some of it felt like a stretch.

Still, he didn’t argue back.

‘Well, he is good.’

Gisekki really was good. He flew through the raid like it was nothing—even while playing the hard-ass Necromancer class.

He dodged and countered everything, and barely lost any HP.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I’m sorry. I’ll do better.

To someone like that, Ye Uwon must’ve looked totally incompetent.

So he sincerely apologized every time.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: ?? do better?? so you weren’t trying until now???

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I’ll try harder.

…Did he say something wrong again?

At this point, Gisekki was nitpicking every single word.

Ye Uwon felt like he’d crossed a line there was no coming back from.

(Assassin) NyamNyami: uhh;; seriously?

(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: Gise-nim, enough already

(Necromancer) Gisekki: lol what? am I wrong though? lol

(Spirit Priest) LeaveTheHealingToMe: sigh ㅇㅇ

The more Gisekki kept going, the more the other guild members responded in disbelief.

But honestly, Ye Uwon didn’t feel all that hurt.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: It’s okay. He’s right.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: Let’s just keep going, haha

Instead, he agreed with Gisekki and moved things along.

‘If that’s the worst he can do… it’s actually kinda friendly?’

Compared to when he used to run with Kim Heeyeon’s friends, this actually felt peaceful.

Sure, the chat was practically a Gisekki solo act right now—but back then, it was chaos from everyone.

And unlike those guys, at least Gisekki understood the Dragon Knight class.

But those teammates he used to run with…

shouldn’t the shield have been up already?

what even is that Dragon Knight doing; you need to move faster, I was behind you and I got hit too.

you think dodging is your only job?

why are you dodging? you’re the tank, you’re supposed to eat all of it

…Yeah.

Compared to being told to face-tank one-shot wipes with his bare face, this was way better.

as the tank, stop trying to deal damage and protect the party instead, lmao

lol YeUbeomjeol, you’re not improving at all... that last mechanic failed because of you. pay for my potion

Kim Heeyeon’s friends were seriously brutal.

So next to them, what Gisekki was doing now felt…

‘…Almost cute, honestly.’

His constant yapping felt more like a spoiled brat throwing tantrums.

And since some of his points were technically right, it even helped a bit.

But more than anything, Ye Uwon couldn’t believe how kind the rest of the guild was.

Even the ones who’d tried to step in at first seemed to realize… there was no stopping Gisekki.

(Whisper) BaekKimchi: oh no... YeU-nim... YeU-nim ㅠㅠ

(Whisper) NyamNyami: are you really okay, YeU-nim?

(Whisper) LeaveTheHealingToMe: u ok?????

(Whisper) LifeIsSolo: ㄷㄷㄷ;; certified kind killer

They were all frantically DM’ing him.

Because defending YeUbeomjeol in the public party chat would only escalate Gisekki’s rage — it never toned him down.

(Whisper) YeUbeomjeol: haha don’t worry about me. Let’s just finish the boss.

Ye Uwon felt sincerely grateful for their kindness. A DPS and healer not blaming the tank? Saints, honestly.

‘And weirdly enough, it’s starting to fire me up.’

He wasn’t sure if Gisekki would ever give him praise — but for some reason, he really wanted to hear it, just once.

‘Ah, shit.’

Lost in thought, he accidentally pulled aggro on Twilight Fair too early. Reflexively, Ye Uwon glanced over at Gisekki standing beside him.

As expected, Gisekki had paused — probably about to type something.

‘He’s definitely gonna go off about that.’

Ye Uwon quickly typed an apology preemptively.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: hey, did you just aggro—

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: sorry.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: was I too early again?

At this point, they were totally in sync.

He’d been hearing Gisekki go off for two full rounds — by now, even just the air gave away what kind of mood he was in.

So Ye Uwon got ahead of it. But this time, instead of firing off a string of angry lines like before, Gisekki just froze for a moment, then finally typed:

(Necromancer) Gisekki: what the fuck...

why the fuck are you asking me???

Wait, what? He thought Gisekki would complain it was too early.

(Dragon Knight) YeUbeomjeol: I’m sorry.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: fuck off.

…Wait, is apologizing wrong now?

Even as he thought that, Ye Uwon’s hands kept moving. He locked the boss in place, redirected it to give DPS a better angle, and kept everything steady.

(Undead) LifeIsSolo: ooooh that skill is legit amazing;;

(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: yeah what the hell, why didn’t Dragon Knights get buffed after all that?

Right on cue, the other party members started praising him again.

Ye Uwon glanced at Gisekki hopefully, just for a second.

(Necromancer) Gisekki: shut the fuck up and smash the twins already

Yeah. As expected — total silence unless it’s to insult him.

(Spirit Priest) LeaveTheHealingToMe: ooh YeU-nim look at that gear

(Spirit Priest) LeaveTheHealingToMe: that skill costs a fuckton to even unlock…

(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: wtf;; those options?? how much money did that take????

Ye Uwon smiled quietly, feeling a little proud.

They weren’t wrong. That particular skill did require equipment with very specific options — and he’d spent an absurd amount trying to get it.

‘Neither supply nor demand is high for this build…’

Because barely anyone else used it, Ye Uwon had to buy every piece off the market and pray the option would show up through enhancement. Everyone told him it was insane to do it for a single skill.

‘But if it helps the team, it’s worth it.’

He’d been through enough failed parties where people panicked and wiped. If he could prevent that, it was money well spent.

‘Twilight Fair’ collapses with a shriek. Congratulations! Claim your reward!

Despite all the chaos, the raid cleared successfully.

Treasure chests appeared in front of each player. Most loot was RNG-based, but contribution sometimes influenced the result.

(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: good job everyone~

(Undead) LifeIsSolo: gj gj what’d y’all get?

(Spirit Priest) LeaveTheHealingToMe: ooo what dropped

(Assassin) NyamNyami: nice raid~ anything good?

(Spirit Priest) LeaveTheHealingToMe: <Item: Bug Frame (a cute drawing of a bug is framed. Interior bonus +15)>

fml

(Dual Cannon) BaekKimchi: bruh wtf;; that shit cursed

Ye Uwon typed “thanks for the run~” and opened his own chest.

‘Pretty normal.’

Just some gear enhancement tokens. Nothing too special.

Still, since it had been a while since he did Twilight Fair, the whole thing felt oddly fun.

‘He’s quiet.’

Gisekki had gone silent the moment the boss died. He hadn’t said a word since.

He had a chest too — obviously. But he didn’t open it. Just stared at it.

Maybe his game froze?

Ye Uwon tilted his head, wondering — when suddenly, Gisekki looked straight up and locked eyes with him.
