After staring at that filthy, huge black pig for a few seconds—

Feng Wuxie decided to take a deep breath first and calm her nerves.

The result—calm your ass! She nearly choked to death on that breath! This place stank to high heaven! A pigpen?Full novel: The Evil Doctor’s Mad Wife — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

This was absolutely insane!

What kind of heartless bastard would be so cruel as to lock her up in a pigpen?!

Damn it! Once she got out of here, she was going to give that despicable idiot a proper lesson!

She tried to move her body.

"Hiss…" The pain made her suck in a sharp breath of cold air, forcing her to assess her situation.

Her clothes were tattered and torn, and the style wasn't the camouflage military uniform she'd worn in the special forces fighter jet—it was ancient attire.

She was covered in wounds from head to toe, every movement sending pain through her entire body. Even her face was burning with pain. These wounds weren't caused by the fighter jet explosion—they looked more like they'd been inflicted by a whip!

Could it be that because she, as a military doctor in the special forces unit, had saved lives and accumulated enough merit, the heavens had taken pity on her at the moment of the explosion and granted her a second life?

Just then, she heard the sound of furtive footsteps—

Feng Wuxie remained motionless, following the sound with her eyes, and saw a woman sneaking toward the pig cage under cover of darkness.

Considering the wounds on the original owner of this body, Feng Wuxie decided to play dead for now and see what this woman intended to do.

The woman opened the pig cage and roughly dragged her out, cursing as she did so:

"This is what you get for opposing our young miss! Serves you right for dying!"

After cursing, she viciously kicked her twice.

Damn, those kicks hurt like hell!

Feng Wuxie suddenly opened her eyes and glared at her.

In the moonlight, her gaze was as sharp as an eagle's.

"Ah—" The woman shrieked in surprise. "You idiot actually isn't dead yet?"

Feng Wuxie smiled coldly, her blood-streaked face making the smile look utterly sinister and terrifying, like an avenging demon from hell:

"I did die, but King Yama said my allotted lifespan wasn't up and I died an unnatural death, so he sent me back—to repay kindness with kindness, and settle grudges with grudges."

"You—" The woman stumbled back two steps in fright, then steadied herself. As if making up her mind, she suddenly pulled a dagger from her sleeve: "In that case, I'll kill you on behalf of my young miss to silence you for good!"

Feng Wuxie could tell at a glance that this girl knew martial arts.

The dagger was about to descend toward her carotid artery, and with all her external and internal injuries, she was like a tiger fallen to the plains—there was absolutely no way she could fight this girl head-on.

Suddenly, Feng Wuxie felt a strange sense of familiarity at her waist!

Almost instinctively, Feng Wuxie reached toward her waist—

This movement was just a reflexive reaction; Feng Wuxie held no hope whatsoever. But when her hand touched that hard object, she was instantly overjoyed!

Holy shit! Her most beloved companion from the 21st century had actually come with her to this other world!

Without hesitation, she used all her strength to quickly draw it out, aimed it at her enemy, and pulled the trigger!

The bullet fired—

The smell of gunpowder spread—

A large hole burst open in the center of the forehead of the girl who had tried to kill Feng Wuxie, blood gushing from the wound.

She toppled backward stiffly, staring at Feng Wuxie with utterly incredulous eyes before she died, as if looking at a demon that had just crawled out of hell.

"Say hello to King Yama for me. Tell him I thank him."

Feng Wuxie gave her a cold smile, then watched emotionlessly as the corpse slowly fell to the ground, completely unruffled.

And in her hand was a 7-inch CZ100 military silenced pistol!

A weapon that absolutely did not belong to this cold weapon era!

Just as she was agonizing over how to conceal the pistol on her person, the gun inexplicably disappeared again!

What the hell?

What kind of fantasy was this?

Her most beloved baby pistol—where had it gone?

Just as she was puzzling over this, she felt something strange in her body, and a phantom image suddenly materialized in her mind!

She seemed to see a man!

The man was draped in a bewitchingly blood-red robe, with a bloodthirsty, wicked smile at the corners of his lips, his long hair tied up with a demonic red jewel.

His narrow, elongated eyelashes seemed delicate enough to catch falling snow, and his ink-black eyes held a faint, eerie gleam like red jade…

His face—was as handsome as a deity, as an asura, as a peerless demon reborn from flames.

Feng Wuxie was somewhat dazed. In her entire previous life, she had never seen a man so wicked yet so beautiful…

Who was he?

Before Feng Wuxie could ask, this asura-like beauty had already parted his thin lips:

"Woman, you've come, haven't you?"

Feng Wuxie was startled—hallucinations could talk?

Before she could even be surprised, the hallucination began speaking again:

"Woman, wait obediently! Until this Sect Master finds you, you absolutely must not die!"

"And you must not look at other men!"

"Nor are you permitted to marry another man!"

Feng Wuxie was completely baffled and was just about to ask for clarification—

The man in the hallucination vanished!
