Eldoria had no children in the game for obvious reasons. Not a single child you could have interacted with.
Not a single NPC, not even in the storyline, nothing.
But now these two fucks were talking about things that should have been impossible. And instead of trying to make sense of it all or clear his name, Rafael chose a different path.
He pointed his finger at the High Elf.
"Your race sided with the South when we attacked Elven City."
Then he turned toward the dwarf.
"And you... your beard is long and black, and that crest is the symbol of the Hiurs Dwarves. You little fucks were the ones who crafted the weapons and armor."
"We are craftsmen!" the dwarf snapped. "We forge for whoever pays!"
"Watch your tongue, human!" The elf joined in too. "We defended our people!"
"You called me a war criminal because I’m holding a fucking sword!" He pointed the sword at the dwarf. "Meanwhile, one of you comes from the people who armed the South." He turned and pointed the sword at the High Elf. "And the other comes from the people who fought beside them."
Neither answered.
And that told him everything he needed to know.
He remembered correctly.
Rafael hadn’t participated in the Great War himself, but the fucking thing had been impossible to avoid.
For an entire week, the forums had been nothing but arguments, propaganda, screenshots, accusations of cheating, videos of cities being burned down, and thousands of Players screaming at each other over which side was justified.
There had even been a giant wiki page documenting the whole fucking thing.
And Rafael had read it.
Not because he gave a shit about the war, but because he had been looking for exploits.
"So we’re all war criminals and genociders," the dwarf said as he stroked his beard. "But more importantly, we’re all trapped here."
"Yeah, we need to get out of here," the High Elf joined in.
What the fuck... they changed the topic this fast...?
"What is your name?" the dwarf asked, completely ignoring the fact that they had just spent the last few minutes arguing about being war criminals.
Though at least it created peace... peace between war criminals.
"Rafael."
"I am Torin Hasyings, great craftsman of the—"
"Shut up, Torin." The High Elf stepped forward. "My name is Caelith. I don’t care about anything other than getting out of here, just like our bearded rat."
It was truly surreal how quickly they had changed the subject, but for Rafael, it was probably the best thing that could have happened... so he chose to go with it.
"How did you two even get down here?"
For a moment, both of them remained silent before Caelith finally spoke.
"I was..." He glanced at Torin. "I was hunting his little ass through the woods, but the bearded rat ran faster than I expected.... and he jumped into a waterfall." Caelith paused. "So I jumped after him."
Caelith noticed Rafael was just staring at him, dumbfounded.
"He insulted my mother, that’s why," he added.
"She is a whor—
Torin could even finish it before the Caelith blade was at his neck.
Though rather than cutting off his big ass head he looked back at Rafael.
"We landed in the water below and triggered a teleportation rune. Who knows how old that thing was, but the next moment, we were here." Caelith looked up. "But your appearance with the woman is much more interesting. You two fell from up there."
He pointed at the ceiling.
"I have no idea what happened," Rafael said, trying his best to act confused. "We were attacked, and then we were here."
"Interesting," Torin spoke now, while pushing Caelith’s blade aside. "We are trapped here so we need to work together. What kind of power do you have?"
"I’m weak." Rafael glanced at the woman. "She’s somehow more powerful than me, but hat about you two? A High Elf should be powerful as well as a dwarf."
Torin suddenly burst out laughing, which made Caelith immediately press the blade closer to his throat.
"He is nothing!" Torin shouted, ignoring the blade. "His mother got pregnant by a—"
The blade moved, and just like that... Torin’s huge beard fell to the ground.
"Uh..." Torin’s eye slowly fell to the ground where his beard lay, then slowly turned his head toward Caelith.
"Y-ou... you—"
But before he could explode, his head snapped toward Rafael... and even Caelith’s head. They were both looking at him.
"What?" Rafael asked, though he quickly noticed that they weren’t looking at him... but past him, so he turned around to see. "Oh... that is a... big-ass lizard. Should we—"
As he turned back around, they were already fucking running away.
So Rafael did the same... he fucking sprinted, though after only a few meters, he remembered that he had knocked out bunny girl.
"Fuck!"
He turned back, grabbed her, threw her over his shoulder, and started running again even though he didn’t even know why the fuck they were running... up until he suddenly felt the temperature behind him rising.
And rising.
It became so fucking hot that even the air he breathed felt like it was burning his lungs, but he kept running, the bunny girl bouncing against his shoulder as the burning heat behind him became worse with every step.
Up ahead, he could see Torin and Caelith standing in front of a massive stone door, both of them slamming their bodies against it.
"Push it harder!"
"I am pushing, you bearded rat!"
The door barely moved.
"Harder!"
Rafael glanced back, and the lizard was still there, just staring at them as the temperature grew even hotter... but then he heard stone scraped against stone.
That huge door opened up.
Torin squeezed through first, followed immediately by Caelith, and lastly Rafael with the bunny girl.
"Push it!" Torin shouted and all three of them pushed the huge door close.
But before Rafael could even take a breath, try to process what the fuck had happened, or, more importantly, where the fuck they had just run into... the notification came.
