The salesperson hesitated.

“Uh… this lady picked them first…”

Du Qian pulled out two cards.

“I’ll pay for them right now.”

The salesperson didn’t dare argue. Just as she was about to say something, Su Xingnuo handed over her own card and gave the salesperson a sly wink.

“Hurry up and swipe it. Can’t you see Miss Du is in a rush?”

After all, this mall belonged to the Liu family. Even if Du Qian bought these clothes, the profits would ultimately go to the Liu family.

The salesperson sighed inwardly. No wonder this young lady was called the heiress.

Su Xingnuo never competed or forced her way; Du Qian’s insults were like hitting cotton.

“I bet you can’t even afford these and are just pretending.”

Su Xingnuo picked up a dark purple dress, a seasonal leftover tucked in the back.

“This one…” she began.

Before she could finish, Du Qian snatched it from her.

“I want this one too.”

Su Xingnuo frowned playfully.

“I picked it first.”

Du Qian raised her face triumphantly and said to the salesperson,

“Charge it to my card.”

“This one…”

“I want this one too.”

Su Xingnuo glanced at another dozen items, all claimed by Du Qian.

She lifted her chin.

“Not fun being on the receiving end, is it? When you stole Qingya’s boyfriend, you should’ve thought this day might come.”

Shen Qingya held Du Qian’s arm.

“Qianqian, let’s just let Miss Su have them if she likes them…”

“Qingya, you’re too kind. People like her will always bully you.”

Du Qian turned to Su Xingnuo with a malicious glare.

“To deal with someone like her, you have to be ruthless.”

Su Xingnuo covered her mouth to suppress a laugh, then spoke.

“Then please, Miss Du, pay for all these clothes.”

The salesperson had already tallied the total with Du Qian’s card.

“That’ll be ¥3,580,000.”

“What?”

Du Qian’s mouth dropped.

“Are you sure you calculated that right?”

“Yes, Miss Du.” The salesperson nodded calmly.

Du Qian’s expression darkened.

“Just a dozen pieces of clothing… over three million? You’re ripping me off!”

“Yo~”

Su Xingnuo mimicked her tone.

“Miss Du, can’t afford it? Just over three million—Du family heiress can’t even come up with that? Imagine the embarrassment!”

“You’re talking nonsense! How could I not have money?”

Du Qian swiped her card again.

Shen Qingya tugged her hand.

“Maybe just let it go, Qianqian.”

Du Qian hesitated, feeling the sting—this was half a year’s allowance.

“Don’t tell me you’re broke! Trying to act tough here?” Su Xingnuo said lightly.

Du Qian immediately shoved her card at the salesperson.

“Swipe it now! One second late, and we’ll see!”

The salesperson hurriedly swiped, returning the card. Du Qian took several shopping bags, glaring proudly at Su Xingnuo.

“Peasant.”

Su Xingnuo crossed her arms.

“Rich brat.”

She picked up a dress and headed toward the fitting room.

The store’s fitting rooms were actually small lounges, with sofas and tables. Tired shoppers could sit and have tea.

She approached Lounge 888 and touched the metal handle.

Du Qian’s voice rang out.

“Salesperson, I want that lounge.”

Su Xingnuo turned, amused.

“Do you even know who is allowed to use this lounge?”

“Hmph! I don’t care who can use it, but I do know who can’t—people like you, broke peasants.”

Du Qian stood arrogantly in front of Su Xingnuo, tossing her shopping bags to the salesperson.

“I want this lounge. I need to try on my new clothes.”

“This…”

The salesperson glanced at Su Xingnuo, uncertain.

Du Qian glared.

“Why are you just standing there? I bought all these clothes! You won’t even let me use the lounge? I’ll report you to your manager!”

She turned to Su Xingnuo.

“People like you, dirt-poor country bumpkins, should be thrown out immediately to keep the air clean.”

The salesperson dared not argue. Miss Su was the Liu family heiress.

She gestured toward another lounge.

“Miss, over there is available…”

“No.”

Du Qian refused outright.

“I want Lounge 888.”

Shen Qingya finally spoke, addressing Su Xingnuo.

“Miss Su, why don’t you give the room to my friend? I have a discount card for another mid-range store downstairs. Consider it a gift.”

She pulled a card from her bag and handed it to Su Xingnuo.

Du Qian snatched it back, fuming.

“Qingya, how could you give her a discount card? Someone who steals my boyfriend doesn’t deserve it.”

Su Xingnuo looked at Shen Qingya, then addressed Du Qian.

“You keep claiming I stole Qingya’s boyfriend. Why don’t we call him here and settle it face-to-face? Let’s see who really stole whose man.”

Shen Qingya’s expression changed slightly, guilt creeping in.

“Fine! Qingya, call your boyfriend right now.”

Du Qian had never met Shen Qingya’s boyfriend but had long wanted to see him. Unfortunately, Shen Qingya always said he was busy.

Shen Qingya took a step back, eyes darting.

“Qianqian, he’s busy. This is such a small matter. Let’s just go to that lounge.”

She tried to pull Du Qian along.

Du Qian refused.

“Qingya, don’t chicken out! Look at this!”

She pulled out a card, waving it proudly at Su Xingnuo and the salesperson.

“I have the store’s Supreme Membership Card. It lets me pick the lounge.”

“Oh? A Supreme Card lets you act high and mighty now?” Su Xingnuo remembered her brother had given her dozens of cards that night, all better than this Supreme Card.

Du Qian scoffed.

“You country bumpkin! Do you even know what a Supreme Card is? Only those who spend over ¥20 million in Liu Group malls can get one!”

It took her and her mother six months of shopping to earn this card.

Su Xingnuo didn’t care about the card but dared to mock her.

“I’ll show you how the Du family writes its name,” Du Qian said, reaching to push Su Xingnuo aside.

The lounge door opened. Jiang Lan stood inside.

She exuded dignity and elegance, calm yet clear.

“Who dares touch my daughter?”
