Now was not the time for Xie Ran to know about her divorce plans.

She grabbed the small bottles in the man’s hand and replied briefly and coldly,

Once home, she would throw them in the trash—let whoever wanted them use them. Who knew if they were poisoned.

Xie Ruchen, as if hearing her thoughts, suddenly grabbed her fair wrist and said firmly,

“If you throw them in the trash, I won’t mind coming to your door myself.”

He lowered his gaze slightly, looking at Su Xingnuo’s delicate face. The distance between them suddenly shrank.

Instinctively, Su Xingnuo stepped back, but Xie Ruchen wrapped his arm around her waist. The sharp scent of cedar filled her nose.

Su Xingnuo frowned. Could this man…

…be interested in her?

But he was Xie Ran’s uncle—she would never have anything to do with a Xie.

He was definitely monitoring her; otherwise, he wouldn’t know about her divorce intentions.

What exactly were his intentions?

Su Xingnuo didn’t even know how she left the club, blaming the man’s striking face.

Once in the car, she realized her heart was racing. She put the ointment in her bag and cast a cautious glance around.

The underground parking lot was silent—completely deserted.

She pulled out her phone and searched for Xie Shi. Only small, obscure figures like Xie Ran appeared—nothing about the man from before.

Biting her lip, her bright eyes lifted slightly. This man’s identity was definitely not simple.

The next day.

Su Xingnuo drove to the hospital for a follow-up.

After the examination, the doctor said she could get the results in the afternoon. She picked up her bag, ready to leave.

“Xingnuo-jie.”

Shen Qingya, dressed in a white dress and five-centimeter heels, walked up to her. She casually opened a prenatal check report in her hand.

Su Xingnuo glared at the heels, frowning. Not wanting trouble, she turned to leave.

Shen Qingya grabbed her sleeve.

“Xingnuo-jie, Xie Ran isn’t free today. Can you accompany me for the check-up?”

Tears glistened in her eyes, presenting the perfect innocent act.

If Su Xingnuo had forcibly shaken her off, she could have staged an accident right then.

Su Xingnuo sneered and forcefully shook off Shen Qingya’s hand.

“Shen Qingya, thousand-year fox you are. What are you doing here pretending? You think I’m scared?

You treasure the child in your womb more than anyone else. You’re just using this child to make Xie Ran marry you.”

Caught off guard, Shen Qingya’s pitiable face immediately turned sharp and malicious.

“Su Xingnuo, you’ve been married to Xie Ran for three years, and he still hasn’t acknowledged your relationship. Do you know why?”

Su Xingnuo didn’t ask why; if she wanted to say it, she would. And she had a feeling it wouldn’t be good news.

She folded her arms.

“Oh? You mean it’s because of you? Call it a ‘white moonlight’ if you like, but it’s really just destroying someone else’s family.”

Her tone grew heavier, fierce and relentless.

In dealing with insults, the Su family eldest daughter was unmatched.

For three years of marriage to Xie Ran, she had hidden her sharpness, giving the impression of a meek, gentle girl.

And what did she get in return? Others’ audacious insults.

Now she intended to step on their faces, to show the world the power of Su Xingnuo.

“Shen Qingya, a rich family daughter, acting as another woman for another man, giving birth to an illegitimate child…tell me,” she said lightly, “if others knew, how would they view you? How would they view the Shen family? Would they protect you, or…”

She slowly moved closer to Shen Qingya. Despite wearing heels, Shen Qingya was still half a head shorter than Su Xingnuo in flats.

“Hmph, the outside world doesn’t even know Xie Ran is married. Even if this gets out, it’s just between us. Who would believe a fallen rich girl like you?”

“Qingya.”

Suddenly, Xie Ran appeared, walking toward them.

Hearing his voice, Shen Qingya’s legs went weak. She collapsed to the ground, resuming the perfect pitiful act.

She looked up, voice trembling with tears,

“Xingnuo-jie, I’m not competing with you for Xie Ran. Please spare the child in my womb…after all…”

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

“The child is innocent. Please… spare my child…”

Xie Ran rushed over, pushing Su Xingnuo aside, his face filled with anger.

“Su Xingnuo, how dare you bully Qingya? She’s pregnant! If anything happens to her or the child, I won’t forgive you.”

He pulled Shen Qingya into his arms, gently patting her back.

Shen Qingya nestled into his embrace, her voice soft and helpless.

“Xie Ran, why are you here? Weren’t you busy with company matters?”

Xie Ran looked at her affectionately.

“Qingya, I was worried. As soon as I finished work, I came. Who could have expected…”

He glanced at Su Xingnuo, eyes unmasked with fury, then turned back to Shen Qingya.

“Qingya, why didn’t you call me if someone bullied you?”

Su Xingnuo took a step back, keeping distance from them.

Seeing Xie Ran so concerned for Shen Qingya made her heart inexplicably sting.

“Xie Ran, if you care so much for your Qingya, then take her everywhere with you. Don’t let her suffer any more harm.”

She remembered shortly after their marriage, when her eldest sister-in-law’s family moved in, her nephew ripped apart a half-finished dress she designed herself.

The dress had taken months to create; even sourcing the materials was a struggle.

Xie Ran, seeing the destroyed dress, just took the nephew behind him, speaking mildly,

“Zile is still a child. Just make a new one. I’ll transfer you thirty thousand for materials.”

After saying this, he left with the child. Su Xingnuo stood there for a long time.

She pulled out her phone, looking at the thirty thousand Xie Ran had sent her, bitterly smiling.

The fabric alone had cost eighty thousand, not to mention the special threads and decorations.

Xie Ran pacified her with thirty thousand. She almost exploded.

But thinking of how he had risked everything to save her, her anger instantly vanished.

Indeed, she had been too soft-hearted these past three years—soft enough that Xie Ran could justifiably scold her and defend a mistress.

Xie Ran’s anger flared at her words.

“You knew Qingya is carrying my child, and you deliberately argued with her to try to harm the child, didn’t you?”

Su Xingnuo raised an eyebrow.

“Why would I harm the child? After all, it’s yours.”

She deliberately emphasized “yours.”

“Xie Ran, last month you spent eighty million at Xingchui Imperial Mansion buying a villa for Shen Qingya. Did you really think I wouldn’t know?”
