“Slap!”
Mo Yunzhu felt her head spin, and a burning pain flared across her face…
“Mo Yunzhu, you bitch! How dare you do something so shameless behind my back!”
“Slap!”
Another wave of pain hit Mo Yunzhu’s face, followed by a searing ache in her brain.
She couldn’t help but scream out as a flood of memories that didn’t belong to her rushed into her mind.
“Mo Yunzhu, you—how dare you! I will not forgive you for this!” the man continued to roar.
Mo Yunzhu knit her brows tightly and abruptly snapped her eyes open.
She was currently being grabbed by the arm by a tall man dressed in a pale yellow brocade robe. He held her up like a helpless chick. Having just been slapped several times in a row, the metallic taste of blood filled her mouth.
The man’s face was twisted with rage. His eyes glared at her with a burning fire, as if he wanted to tear her apart.
“Mo Yunzhu, stop playing the victim. Today, you actually dared to do such a filthy thing to my Fifth Brother. There is no longer any possibility of our engagement standing!”
The man shoved Mo Yunzhu violently. She went sprawling onto the bed behind her, and someone underneath her immediately let out a muffled groan.
In a daze, Mo Yunzhu turned her head and saw the extremely pale face of a man.
Surprisingly, the man’s features were exceptionally handsome; she was momentarily stunned by his beauty.
His brows and eyes were gentle, his features as refined as a painting. He possessed a noble aura, like a jade tree or a noble orchid, clear and bright as the moon after rain—a banished immortal descended to the mortal realm, untouched by the dust of the world.
However, the man looked incredibly frail. His frame was thin, and his skin was so white it lacked even a hint of color, giving him an air of being easily blown away by the wind.
But his lips were an unnaturally deep shade of purple, adding a touch of demonic charm to his face.
In eyes that shimmered like stars in the night sky, light flickered as he looked at her. His expression, however, was one of disdain—a cold disgust that suggested he felt she was something filthy.
“Lan Wang?” Mo Yunzhu blurted out.
By now, Mo Yunzhu—a modern-day special forces combat medic—had already transmigrated to Qingyun Guo. She had become the Eldest Miss of the Great General’s Estate, sharing the same name.
She was seventeen years old and had long been engaged to the Crown Prince, Jun Huanhe. In three months, once she turned eighteen, she was supposed to marry into the Crown Prince’s Estate and become the esteemed Taizifei of Qingyun Guo.
“Get off… cough, cough, cough.” On the bed, Lan Wang, Jun Huolan, spoke in a voice that was soft yet dark. He then began to cough, his face turning from white to blue as if he couldn’t catch his breath.
Mo Yunzhu snapped back to reality. She noticed her outer robe was missing, discarded on the floor by the bed. She touched her hair—it was a mess. Rubbing her nose, she stood up.
She sneered inwardly, already understanding what was happening.
The original host was the Eldest Miss of the General’s Estate. Pampered since childhood, she had lived a carefree life. She enjoyed martial arts and had a boisterous personality. Though she was somewhat willful and brash, she was kind-hearted, straightforward, and lacked a suspicious mind.
Today was a banquet hosted by the Crown Prince’s Estate to celebrate Jun Huolan’s return to the capital.
Jun Huolan was the Fifth Prince of Qingyun Guo. Ten years ago, when the current Emperor ascended the throne and needed to consolidate power, Jun Huolan was chosen. He was titled Lan Wang and sent to Chen Guo to serve as a hostage for ten years.
A month ago, the ten-year term ended. With a new Emperor ascending the throne in Chen Guo, Jun Huolan was released.
However, he faced several assassination attempts on his way home and was severely injured. As soon as his wounds had slightly healed, the Crown Prince organized this welcoming banquet, inviting imperial relatives and the children of court officials, claiming he wanted Lan Wang to get to know the young talents of their country.
During the feast, Mo Yunzhu remembered that the original host was happy about becoming the Taizifei. Everyone came to congratulate her, leading her to drink quite a bit.
The original host actually had a high tolerance for alcohol, but while heading to the latrine, she felt extremely dizzy. She had already sensed something was wrong.
It was her younger sister, Mo Huaiqing, who suggested she go rest. In her dazed state, she was led into a room, and after that, she remembered nothing.
Mo Yunzhu looked toward the doorway, which was now crowded with people. The expressions on their faces were ones of extreme shock.
A weeping maid was kneeling on the floor.
It was Mo Yunzhu’s personal servant, Shaoyao. She was the one who had been serving the original host all day.
“Mo Yunzhu, you are a wanton, shameless woman. Seeing that my Fifth Brother is handsome but physically weak, you actually dared to… what do you have to say for yourself?” the Crown Prince continued to roar.
“Your Highness, please calm down. Be careful of your health…” someone immediately consoled the prince.
Shaoyao cried out anxiously, “Your Highness, the Eldest Miss isn’t that kind of person. She… she just drank too much and went into the wrong room. It’s not what it looks like.”
Mo Yunzhu raised an eyebrow. Went into the wrong room? It seemed her maid was quite “interesting.”
“Your Highness, my elder sister is definitely not that kind of person. There must be a misunderstanding. I hope Your Highness will investigate thoroughly.”
Mo Huaiqing also pleaded for Mo Yunzhu, but her expression held a hint of confusion that Mo Yunzhu couldn’t quite place.
“A misunderstanding? I saw it with my own eyes! While Fifth Brother was asleep from the wine, she shamelessly climbed into his bed and nearly hurt him…”
The Crown Prince was so angry he couldn’t continue. His eyes were bloodshot. “Mo Yunzhu, you’ve betrayed my trust! I am going back to the palace right now to report to Imperial Father and cancel our engagement! Furthermore, your father will have to give me an explanation!”
After saying this, the Crown Prince flicked his sleeve, turning to leave.
“Wait!” Mo Yunzhu shouted immediately.
She picked up her outer robe from the floor and calmly put it on in front of everyone. She then looked up at them, feeling more and more amused. This kind of scheme was so obvious even an idiot could see through it.
“What else do you have to say? Have you not embarrassed me enough?” Jun Huanhe said fuming.
“Your Highness, I was framed with poison. Do you believe me?” As she spoke, she turned to look at the Fifth Prince, Jun Huolan. “Lan Wang, did I touch you? You should know.”
A flash of awkwardness crossed Jun Huolan’s pale face, followed by a cough. “I was in a deep sleep and don’t know what happened. I… I suspect I was also framed.”
“Suspect?” Mo Yunzhu arched an eyebrow and then let out a scoff. Her large, sharp eyes stared intently at Jun Huolan, making him frown. He felt a strange sense of unease.
Mo Yunzhu turned back to the crowd that had caught them. “Lan Wang doesn’t know, and I don’t know. Isn’t it obvious?”
“Mo Yunzhu, stop being stubborn. Everyone saw you pressing down on Lan Wang. Denial is useless. When Lan Wang first arrived, you even said he was good-looking! You clearly got drunk and let your lust take over!”
Chen Xin’er, the daughter of the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, jumped out to mock her. She was Mo Huaiqing’s close friend.
“If you all insist on slandering me, I, Mo Yunzhu, will accept it. Your Highness, if you want to break the engagement, I agree. But! I will prove that I was framed, not that I seduced Lan Wang! I won’t have your mouths running wild with lies!”
“Framed? How hilarious! Miss Mo, you were the one on top of Lan Wang. Did someone help hoist you up there?” Zhang Fengyi, the Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review, laughed.
“Heh, and to think you’re the Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review. How embarrassing! I was poisoned at the time and unconscious, so I was carried up there. Otherwise, what you would have seen wouldn’t be me in my trousers on top of Lan Wang, but me Ravishing him!”
Zhang Fengyi’s face flushed red with anger, his fists clenching.
“Cough, cough, cough…” Jun Huolan on the bed began to cough violently. What kind of shocking language is this woman using?
“Pfft!” Many people were stunned, their sense of propriety shaken.
As expected of a General’s daughter—a mere brute, arrogant and uncouth.
“If I were conscious, I wouldn’t have let the Crown Prince beat me like this!” Mo Yunzhu touched her swollen, aching face and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, her gaze turning cold as she looked at the Crown Prince.
The original host must have collapsed from shame and the physical assault, which allowed the modern Mo Yunzhu to transmigrate.
“Listen up! Being framed and actively seducing someone are two different things; it’s a matter of principle. This must be cleared up today! I am also a victim! Of course, you might not believe me if I just say so. Someone, bring me a set of silver needles!” Mo Yunzhu shouted with full authority.
“What do you need silver needles for?”
“Just bring them!” Mo Yunzhu sneered.
Soon, a guard brought a set of silver needles.
“Look closely. I was poisoned and framed. Even if I can’t be the Taizifei, I refuse to bear the label of a wanton woman who seduced Lan Wang! You can go out and say I was framed and lost my reputation, making me unfit to be the Taizifei. But if anyone says I seduced Lan Wang or that my parents didn’t raise me well, I will show no mercy!”
As she spoke, everyone watched as she slowly inserted a silver needle into her temple…
