Today was another bright, sunny day. Jiang Zhuo got up and stretched, changed his clothes, and got ready to go downstairs for breakfast.

By his reckoning, he had already been living in this villa for half a month, yet he still hadn’t seen the husband he had in name.

He was here for a Joyful Marriage. Supposedly, that husband of his had trouble with his legs.Full novel: The Flash Marriage Partner Has a Hidden Illness — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Leaning against the railing, Jiang Zhuo called down to the couple setting out breakfast below, “Morning, Uncle Zhong, Aunt Zhong!”

“Morning, Xiao Zhuo, come down and eat.” Aunt Zhong was a very warmhearted woman, and she really felt sorry for this young boy. Once she found out he was only eighteen, all she could think was, what a sin!

Uncle Zhong nodded politely in greeting. It wasn’t that he disliked Jiang Zhuo, quite the opposite, he liked this cheerful boy a lot.

It was just that whenever he thought about how Jiang Zhuo had been sent over by the people from the old residence to disgust Qiu Xianzhi, he couldn’t help feeling a little upset.

Seeing Uncle Zhong’s huffing, glaring expression, Aunt Zhong shot him a look and jabbed him with her elbow, warning him to be more polite.

Jiang Zhuo was cheerful, lively, and optimistic. If he really could stay, that might not be a bad thing.

As for the rest of the day, Jiang Zhuo was just like he had been yesterday, either trailing behind Uncle Zhong or following Aunt Zhong around, wandering here and there and lending a hand whenever he could.

After breakfast, Jiang Zhuo flopped back onto the bed and played games, but luck wasn’t on his side. He’d burned through all his energy in his tile-matching game without clearing a single level, and when he teamed up with his classmates, he lost so badly he started questioning his life choices.

Jiang Zhuo threw his head back and wailed, “I’m so bored~”

Then he heard the roar of a car engine downstairs. Jiang Zhuo leaned out the window to look and saw Uncle Zhong and Aunt Zhong hurrying to open the door, saying something about the young master having returned.

The young master, that would be his bargain-bin husband. He’d heard he was a total heartthrob.

Jiang Zhuo slipped on his slippers and ran downstairs in a rush. He squeezed past Uncle Zhong’s back to peer inside, then met Qiu Xianzhi’s eyes head-on.

Sure enough, he really was handsome. Jiang Zhuo let out a sigh of relief. As long as he wasn’t some old man.

Uncle Zhong didn’t notice him behind him. The moment he shifted, Jiang Zhuo lost his footing and lurched forward.

Without even thinking, Qiu Xianzhi immediately reached out, intending to push him away. But before his hand even touched Jiang Zhuo, the boy dropped with a thud right to his knees in front of him.

The few people watching from the side were dumbstruck.

Sometimes, that’s just how a beautiful misunderstanding begins.

Jiang Zhuo looked at Qiu Xianzhi’s hand, then at the marble by his foot, and thought to himself that rumors really couldn’t be trusted.

Who on earth had said Qiu Xianzhi was old, ugly, and useless? Wasn’t he obviously handsome? He’d even tried to steady him.

The very first time Jiang Zhuo saw Qiu Xianzhi, he promptly handed him a good person card.

Qiu Xianzhi’s face darkened even further. He was certain Jiang Zhuo was planning to play pitiful in front of him and scam him.

Jiang Zhuo wasn’t polite about it either. Borrowing Qiu Xianzhi’s hand, he got up from the floor, patted off his pants, and said carelessly, “It’s fine, it’s fine. I’ll push you inside!”

The three people behind them were still standing there in a daze when Jiang Zhuo steadily pushed him in, not forgetting to introduce himself along the way.

Worried that Jiang Zhuo might offend Qiu Xianzhi and make him unhappy, Uncle Zhong hurried after them.

Qiu Xianzhi stayed silent the whole time. Once they reached the living room, he pressed the switch on his wheelchair and went straight upstairs in the elevator.
