“Holy crap!” Alarm bells rang in Hua Sheng’s mind. He reacted instantly, covering himself and panicking so hard that he couldn’t even speak clearly. “You, you, you, are you sick? Get out, get out, get out!”

Zuo Xingyun lowered his eyes. Hua Sheng’s attempt to cover things up had already revealed everything.

Embarrassment, awkwardness, and shyness, emotions like these cycled across his face.Full novel: The Fluffy Cat I Have a Crush On Is Provoking Me — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He knew that Hua Sheng’s body was different.

He was an inferior omega who was extremely susceptible to alpha pheromones.

So-called inferior omegas were those who could not control their pheromones, suffered from irregular heat cycles, were easily dominated by alpha pheromones, and were difficult to impregnate.

Hua Sheng never went to the restroom between classes; he always waited until a class was halfway through to sneak out from the back.

One time, he had followed him and secretly stepped into the stall to the right of Hua Sheng’s.

Not long after, he smelled a wave of sweet, cloying orange scent. The pheromones were unstable, perhaps because they had been suppressed for too long, and the concentration was extremely high.

If any alpha had walked in, they would have been able to smell his pheromones.

Zuo Xingyun’s eyes darkened as he stood in the restroom for a long time.

Hua Sheng silently masked the pheromones on his body, crouched down against the stall partition, and sighed heavily.

Zuo Xingyun, separated from him by only a single wall, also remained silent, doing his utmost to restrain his own pheromones.

It wasn’t until the scent in the restroom had dissipated completely that Hua Sheng returned to his normal, business-as-usual appearance and hobbled away.

Zuo Xingyun had observed him in secret many times since then. The person he had been dreaming of day and night repeatedly showed looks of helplessness and pain, and he had gradually confirmed his suspicions.

Such a fierce, hot-tempered school tyrant was actually, truly an inferior omega.

Would Hua Sheng, who cared so much about strength and weakness, feel inferior because of his constitution? Would he cry secretly at night? Would he?

He lowered his head and rubbed his nose against Hua Sheng’s cheek, kissing his earlobe affectionately and devoutly.

“I won’t tell anyone, so don’t be afraid,” Zuo Xingyun said softly, dark currents swirling in his eyes. “I want to protect you.”

On the surface, he was arrogant, overbearing, and aggressive. In reality, he went home alone every night. Sometimes he would forget his umbrella and get soaked in the rain, lonely and stranded. Usually, he was always followed by big, burly alphas, like a rabbit that had fallen into a wolf’s den.

Most of those who approached him weren’t genuinely loyal; they did it because Hua Sheng was foolish with money and was soft-hearted and easy to deceive.

“Get lost! Who needs your protection?” Hua Sheng raised his foot, intending to kick him away, but he was tripped up by his pants. Furious, he slammed his palm heavily against Zuo Xingyun’s chest. Zuo Xingyun, caught off guard, was pushed back forcefully and stumbled several steps, nearly falling to the ground.

He had quite a bit of strength.

Zuo Xingyun, with Hua Sheng’s saliva still on his lips, frowned slightly and looked up at him.

Hua Sheng had already pulled his pants back up. His natural curls were a mess. He glared down at him with disgust, his brows furrowed, and he quickly hooked his belt and tied a neat, pretty bow. His maroon limited-edition Air Jordans stepped onto his pristine, clean bedsheets as he looked down at him condescendingly.

“What kind of savior role are you playing? Who the hell asked for your protection? So what if I’m an omega? So what if I’m an inferior omega? I live a happier life than you do! I’m so rich, so how am I not better than a poor bookworm like you? Who are you to protect me?” The more Hua Sheng thought about it, the angrier he became. He lashed out, “Zuo Xingyun, I didn’t expect you to be such a closet pervert. You’re a stinking freak taking advantage of me! Do you think that just because you found out my secret, I’ll pitifully beg you to keep it quiet? Do you think you can use this to blackmail me into doing this and that with you? Do you think?”

He had held his breath for too long, so Hua Sheng took a breath and continued furiously, “Do you think I’m afraid to teach you a lesson?”

Hua Sheng considered his body to be no different from any other man’s. In fact, under his own training, he believed his body was stronger than others, though, of course, that was just what he thought.

Taking down a bookworm who only knew how to study, a white-cut chicken with no muscle to speak of, would naturally be a piece of cake.

Zuo Xingyun slowly climbed up from the floor and raised his hand to pull the zipper of his school uniform down a few inches.

Hua Sheng noticed his movement, his expression darkening slightly. “What are you doing?”

Zuo Xingyun took off his school uniform, draped it casually over the chair beside him, covering Hua Sheng’s uniform, and slowly took the silver-white watch off his wrist, placing it by the computer desk.

Hua Sheng glanced at it subconsciously. His father had one of these, too, a rare, high-end custom piece designed by the famous Swiss designer Charles. There were only eight in the entire world.

He grew suspicious. Zuo Xingyun was so wretchedly poor; how could he afford this? Was it a knock-off?

He hadn’t expected the guy to be such a vain, stinking top student.

Zuo Xingyun walked slowly toward Hua Sheng. Hua Sheng acted as if he were facing a formidable enemy, retreating vigilantly until his back hit the wall, clenching his fists at him.

Zuo Xingyun stared into Hua Sheng’s eyes and coldly spat out two words: “Fight me.”

Hua Sheng’s blood boiled. As expected, his previous lecherous behavior had been to humiliate him, deliberately disrupting his focus, hoping to suppress him through the lens of gender and break him down step-by-step. How vicious!

He steeled himself, ready for battle: “Fight then! Who’s afraid of who? If you lose, you apologize to Dazhi, and then kowtow three times in front of me.”

Zuo Xingyun did not answer, but instead asked, “And if you lose?”

“If I lose.” Hua Sheng paused, thinking for a moment, and replied aggressively, “If I lose, I’ll pay for your breakfast for a month.”

Zuo Xingyun shook his head in disappointment, refusing firmly, “No.”

“Plus lunch.”

Zuo Xingyun’s black eyes stared at him unblinkingly. “No.”

“Huh?” Hua Sheng was enraged. “No to this, no to that. Are you so sure you’ll win? Don’t expect me not to knock your teeth out and have you begging for mercy on your knees later!”

Zuo Xingyun curled his lips, a half-smile appearing on his face.

“Enough talk!” Hua Sheng couldn’t stand anyone being more arrogant than him. He immediately jumped off the bed, fists raised, and pounced on him.

Zuo Xingyun sidestepped, nimbly avoiding Hua Sheng’s attack. Hua Sheng lunged at empty air, couldn’t stop his momentum, and slammed heavily into the small sofa beside the computer desk.

“Clumsy.”

Zuo Xingyun said leisurely, leaning against the wall.

Hua Sheng exploded instantly. He grabbed a book from the table and threw it at Zuo Xingyun. The heavy reference book flew toward Zuo Xingyun like an arrow leaving a bow.

Zuo Xingyun was nonchalant and reacted quickly, crouching down. The book smashed heavily against the wall. He then reached out, knelt on one knee, caught the falling book steadily, and even smiled at Hua Sheng.

This happened too fast. Hua Sheng watched helplessly as Zuo Xingyun not only avoided being put in his place but also showed off in front of him. He was instantly incensed.

“Hua Sheng, you’re so clumsy.” Zuo Xingyun smiled, stood up, and placed the book neatly on the other side of the computer, tilting his head with a grin as he looked at him. “Do you have to cheat with weapons when you fight?”

This touched Hua Sheng’s reverse scale. When he went out to fight, he always brought his various underlings and weapons. Occasionally, he would hear the phrase winning unfairly.

But no one had ever dared say it to his face.

Hua Sheng was furious. He gritted his teeth and said, “Say that again!”

Zuo Xingyun did as he wished, saying each word clearly: “Unfair little Hua Sheng, you’re an idiot.”

Hua Sheng pounced on him, full of rage, and threw a punch at his face. Zuo Xingyun didn’t dodge; he finally chose a head-on confrontation, raising his arm to block Hua Sheng’s angry fist while his other hand, hidden behind his back, moved with extreme speed to pin down Hua Sheng’s shoulder.

Hua Sheng was a ticking time bomb. Like an enraged, hot-tempered cat, he raised his leg, intending to strike Zuo Xingyun in the groin. If that strike landed, Zuo Xingyun would probably be visiting a men’s health clinic for the rest of his life.

However, Zuo Xingyun had already seen through everything. He bowed to dodge, fluently extending his long leg to wrap around Hua Sheng’s tense leg, and executed a heavy sweep.

Hua Sheng had been relying on one leg to maintain his balance; he suddenly felt his knee go soft, and he lost his footing, falling to the ground in an instant.

Zuo Xingyun chuckled and stood up, steadily catching Hua Sheng’s falling body.

This series of movements happened too fast. Hua Sheng’s slow brain hadn’t even reacted before he was already in Zuo Xingyun’s arms. He was stunned for a moment, and didn’t regain his senses until Zuo Xingyun’s hand squeezed his chest a few times.

“Holy crap!” Hua Sheng immediately flushed red to his ears, shouting stutteringly, “You, you ambushed me! You don’t play fair! Let, let, let go!”

He struggled with all his might, kicking and punching Zuo Xingyun. “Let go of me! That doesn’t count, let’s fight again.”

Zuo Xingyun simply threaded his other hand under the crook of his knees and hoisted him up without changing his expression.

Hua Sheng twisted even more violently. “Ah, ah, ah, let go!”

Zuo Xingyun rubbed his forehead against his fluffy curls and took a deep breath. His nasal cavity was filled with the fragrance of sweet oranges, sweet, yet not pungent, with the sour and astringent scent of sunshine that made him feel refreshed.

“Let go of me, goddamn it! Put me down, you shameless.” Hua Sheng grabbed his collar, his ears glowing red. The bright yellow hoodie made his skin look even fairer. “Zuo Xingyun, you’re finished. I won’t let you get away with this.”

Zuo Xingyun gently placed him on the bed. Hua Sheng seized the opportunity to try and escape, but Zuo Xingyun firmly pinned his hands down, raising them above his head once again.

Hua Sheng was emotionally agitated, cursing, “Get out. I didn’t say go yet. That didn’t count, let’s fight again!”

“But.” Zuo Xingyun said coolly, “You were the one who moved first.”

“It was you who wanted to ambush me, and then I pinned you down.” He repeated this with a straight face, looking directly into his eyes, “Hua Sheng, you lost.”

Hua Sheng tried to bend his knees to push the person pressing down on him away, but Zuo Xingyun didn’t budge. He struggled with all his might, but the strength left him in vain. This nerd looked so soft and weak, so why was he so strong?

Hua Sheng tugged at his wrists, but they didn’t move. He looked back at him angrily.

Zuo Xingyun had a deadpan expression and didn’t let go, his hand, clamping down like an iron pincer, quietly facing Hua Sheng in a standoff.

After a moment of stalemate, Hua Sheng finally conceded. He let out a long breath, slumped his face, and said, “Fine, you won.”

He muttered tch silently and pursed his lips. “I admit I lost, okay?”

Zuo Xingyun relaxed his strength but still didn’t let go.

“I’ll pay for your food for a month, is that enough?” Hua Sheng frowned. “You can let go now.”

Zuo Xingyun said, “No.”

“Two months.” Hua Sheng held up two fingers, increasing the stakes. “Three meals a day, I’ll treat you for two months.”

Zuo Xingyun shook his head. “No.”

“Then what the hell do you want?”

This wasn’t okay, that wasn’t okay, Hua Sheng was getting angry just listening to him. “Trying to blackmail me, are you? Then tell me how much money you want!”

Zuo Xingyun stared intensely at his eyes, stuck out his tongue, and licked his lower lip. “Lick.”

Hua Sheng froze, doubting that something was wrong with his ears, and then heard Zuo Xingyun utter two world-shaking words.

“Lick you.”
