After everyone had rested enough, Lin Luoluo instructed them to pack their belongings and continue on their journey. As their carriages passed the group of refugees, the man led everyone to kneel in the direction of the departing carriage.

“Thank you, Miss, for your kindness and righteousness.”

After saying that, they each kowtowed three times with loud thuds before finally getting back to their feet.Full novel: The Foolish Consort Ran Away and Raised Adorable Babies with Her Space — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Suddenly, Lin Luoluo felt a trace of golden energy flow into her body. Confused, she followed the source of the power and lifted the carriage curtain to look outside. Only then did she realize that this energy had been produced by the refugees’ gratitude toward her.

Lin Luoluo was secretly delighted.

I know what this is—it’s the Power of Merit.

Just as she was celebrating, a loud rumble echoed inside her Space. At the edge of the orchard, a small mountain suddenly appeared.

After saying a quick word to Chun Tao and the others, she vanished from the carriage in a flash.

“Miss!”

“Elder Sister!”

Everyone cried out in shock at the same time. They immediately covered their mouths, afraid the people outside would hear them. None of them even dared blink as they stared with wide eyes at the spot where Lin Luoluo had disappeared, waiting for her to reappear.

Meanwhile, Lin Luoluo stood inside the Space, grinning like a fool as she looked around.

The Space had more than doubled in size.

The Spirit Spring had also doubled in size, and its water had become even sweeter. Its effects were now even more remarkable than before.

The thatched cottage, however, looked exactly the same as before. She just didn’t know what new things might have appeared inside.

Unable to contain her excitement, Lin Luoluo rushed into the cottage and tried opening the second level of the medicine cabinet.

Sure enough—it opened.

“What’s all this? Talismans? Medical prescriptions? Pill formulas? And so many martial arts manuals… These are rings… and blessing pouches?”

Her mind buzzed.

“Ah… These are… These are Space Rings and storage pouches! Hahaha… Hahaha!”

Lin Luoluo threw back her head and burst into her signature devilish laughter.

What she failed to notice was that, in a corner of the Space, a tiny beast had covered its ears with a look of disdain.

“The master of this generation is a bit of an idiot…”

Back then, a Supreme God had created them and sent them into the mortal world to find destined people and complete missions.

Who would have thought that it would fall into the River of Time? After finally escaping, it accidentally crushed its host to death and unintentionally became bound to her soul.

Left with no choice, it brought her across worlds to this place. In the process, it exhausted all of its spiritual power, fell into a deep slumber, and the Space itself regressed to its beginner level.

Sigh… I wonder when we’ll finally complete the mission and return to the cultivation world?

The little Space spirit sighed helplessly.

Only after Lin Luoluo finally stopped laughing did the tiny creature slowly float into the thatched cottage.

Because she was too excited, Lin Luoluo didn’t notice its arrival.

“How do these rings and storage pouches open? Do I have to recognize them as my master by dripping blood onto them?”

She muttered to herself.

After thinking for a moment, she was just about to perform a blood recognition ritual on one of the rings when a voice suddenly appeared beside her, nearly scaring her to death.

“Master, you only need to use your thoughts to open them.”

“Who’s there? Who’s speaking?”

Lin Luoluo quickly turned around and looked everywhere, but there wasn’t a single person in sight. A chill instantly crept into her heart.

Just as she thought her excitement had made her hallucinate, the little beast reached out its tiny paw and tugged at her pant leg.

“Master, I’m over here!”

Lin Luoluo lowered her head.

A small beast was staring at her with round, bright eyes. It looked adorably silly. Its entire body was snow white, resembling a little white fox.

She wasn’t afraid at all. Squatting down, she picked it up in her arms.

“Are you a little fox?”

As she gently stroked the fur on its back, she asked the question.

“Master, I’m not a fox. I’m the Spirit of the Space. I can take on any form, but because my spiritual power is insufficient right now, I can only transform into a small animal.”

“Oh, I see.”

“Then what you said earlier is true? I can open these with my thoughts?”

“Yes, Master.”

The little beast nodded.

Lin Luoluo followed its instructions and tried it.

Sure enough, one of the Space Rings opened.

The interior wasn’t particularly large, but it certainly wasn’t small either—around two hundred square meters.

It was completely empty.

She examined the rest of the rings and storage pouches in the same way. Every single one was empty.

Although there was nothing inside them, Lin Luoluo still felt that this upgrade had yielded tremendous rewards.

After checking everything, she stored them away again before looking at the little beast in her arms.

“Little fellow, what’s your name?”

“Master, my name is Number One. I was the very first one created by the Supreme God to carry out missions. Unfortunately, there was a small malfunction.”

“A mission? What do you mean?”

Lin Luoluo immediately seized upon the word “mission,” as though she had thought of something.

“It means collecting merit. Once enough merit has been gathered and the Space reaches its highest level, Master will be able to make one wish.”

“Can I return to my original world?”

Lin Luoluo’s eyes lit up.

“Of course.”

“But upgrading the Space requires an enormous amount of spiritual energy.”

“I thought it only needed the Power of Merit.”

Suddenly realizing something, Lin Luoluo hurried over to the boxes she had previously stored inside the Space and opened them one by one.

Her mouth immediately fell open.

Sure enough, all the jade ornaments she had collected had disappeared.

Only the gold, silver, paintings, and calligraphy remained.

Lin Luoluo beat her chest in frustration, utterly heartbroken.

Just upgrading one level had consumed so much jade. How much would it take to reach the maximum level?

The more she thought about it, the more her heart ached.

It seemed that once everything settled down, she’d have to roll up her sleeves and work hard.

After calming herself, Lin Luoluo looked at the little creature and said,

“Number One… Hmm… How about I give you a proper name? You’re the Spirit of the Space, and you’re completely white. How about I call you Bai Ling?”

Then she suddenly remembered all the times she had bathed inside the Space.

Wouldn’t that mean it had seen everything?

So…

“Let me see whether you’re male or female.”

As she spoke, she flipped the little beast over to inspect it.

“Hahaha… Hahaha… M-Master… That tickles! Right now… I don’t have a gender! Once I transform into a human, I’ll be able to choose one.”

“Then when you transform, you’ll become a girl.”

Lin Luoluo said in a commanding tone.

Only after it nodded obediently did she finally let it go.

After escaping her clutches, Bai Ling turned its head away, both embarrassed and angry, refusing to look at her.

“Hmph…”

Seeing its sulking expression, Lin Luoluo simply ignored it. Using her thoughts, she planted grain across all the newly added farmland before picking some fruit.

Then she picked Bai Ling up again, gently smoothed its fur, and coaxed it softly.

“Alright, alright. Don’t be angry anymore. I promise I won’t do that again. Here, have a piece of fruit.”

Seeing her apologize and offer fruit, Bai Ling let out another proud little “hmph” before finally taking the fruit in its mouth and hopping away.

After finishing the fruit, it declared,

“This time, I’ll reluctantly forgive you.”

Lin Luoluo couldn’t help shaking her head with amusement.

Then she suddenly remembered that she had been inside the Space for quite a while.

Hurriedly grabbing the remaining fruit, she left the Space.

The moment she emerged, she felt several pairs of eyes fixed upon her.

Time seemed to freeze for half a second.

“Elder Sister!”

“Elder Sister!”

Lin Zirui and Lin Wanwan threw themselves into her arms.

“Miss, you’re finally back! Chun Tao was scared to death!”

Chun Tao exclaimed.

“Yiya~”

Lin Ziyu babbled.

“I’m back. Don’t worry. Next time, I’ll take all of you inside to have a look.”

“We can go into that magical place too?”

Lin Zirui asked curiously, his face full of anticipation.

The others also looked at her with sparkling eyes.

“I think so. We’ll find out when we try next time.”

After saying that, Lin Luoluo handed the fruit to everyone.

Having received her answer, they temporarily suppressed their curiosity and happily began eating the fruit.
