I had the chance to round up these characters, so I'm noting them down here too. Eventually, I hope to do the same for chapters 2 and 3.
===
Wolf Midres (Male, 42 years old)
Reminia's adoptive father. He used to be an adventurer, but when a mysterious woman entrusted him with Reminia, he retired to his hometown. Fifteen years later, Reminia - who absolutely adores her Papa - has powered him up to the point that he finally defeats an A-class dragon, Motherburn. In the [Ash-Eating Bear-Slayers (Grem Grizzly)] battle, he achieved the title "One Hundred Man Slayer." Awakening his soul as an adventurer, he decides to make a comeback.
Outside of battle, he has a laid-back personality and often forgets to change his underwear, earning him scoldings from his daughter.
"I am Wolf... Nikaras's Wolf."
===
Reminia Midres (Female, 15 years old)
Wolf's daughter. She's a beautiful prodigy mage, recognized as such by both herself and others, and holds the title [Great Hero (Legend)] - a designation awarded to only two people in the world. At age six, she deciphered her mother's posthumous manuscript, [Double World Theory (Double World Scenario)], and foresaw the existence of the energy that separates the worlds.
At age twelve, using her mother's posthumous manuscript as a foundation, she submitted a paper to Lexenil Kingdom's magical research journal. It caught the eye of researchers, and three years later, she was welcomed into the Lexenil Royal Magical Research Institute as a chief researcher. Above all, she adores her Papa.
In her mind, the whole world revolves around him. The duel between Beywulf and her father, which she witnessed as a child, has left her traumatized. As a result, she tends to apply excessive Enhancement magic on her father whenever he acts recklessly.
"Reminia's going to marry Papa when she grows up!"
===
Hashiry Ward (Female, 24 years old)
Reminia's secretary and a researcher at the Royal Magical Research Institute. Since Reminia is only fifteen, she oversees everything from her work to her daily life - or so it appears on the surface. In truth, she's an A-class-level operative dispatched to monitor the [Great Hero (Legend)] for any signs of rampage. She doesn't take the mission too seriously, though; she's more focused on just watching over the somewhat reckless Reminia. Perhaps because her father mistook her for a boy until she was ten, she still uses masculine first-person pronouns in her speech. Since getting involved with Reminia, she's recently been discovering her maternal instincts at an accelerating pace.
"That's a good idea. The office will be more lively. Besides, it gives me a chance to tease you every day."
===
Anri Rogue Rifalas (Female, 18 years old, Half-elf)
Eldest daughter of the Rifalas Grand Ducal House. Her father, Hairyl, is the elder brother of Queen Rieel of Lexenil Kingdom, making him the king's brother-in-law. As a result, Anri also holds a claim to the throne. She didn't want to be like the princesses in the hero tales she read as a child - she wanted to be the hero.
She came to admire strong people and resolved to become a knight herself. Her childhood attempt to court Graf Zehes is quite famous. She also formed a border vigilante group called the [Blue Brigade] to help people in need in the border regions. She's serious and responsible, but her habit of challenging strong people she meets and her fickle nature are a constant source of worry for her family.
"Please marry me!!"
===
Graf Zehes (Male, 41 years old)
Captain of the Lexenil Kingdom Knights and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Army - Lexenil Kingdom's [Fierce General]. Though past the prime age for a warrior, he continues to grow and is an A-class-level combatant. His immense presence, emanating from his formidable physique and the dark circles under his eyes, is overwhelming. He possesses the rare charisma to boost army morale just by being present.
He's a spearman, and until Reminia appeared, he was the only one capable of using the [Absolute Death-Linked Spear] - a rapid thrust from four directions. He's currently single. He married his childhood friend twenty years ago, but she passed away young. He has an adopted child, who is currently studying at a knight academy in another country.
"What's the matter, did you think some mountain ape dropped it? GAHAHAHAHAHA!"
===
Murad Selzebia Lexenil (Male, 62 years old)
King of Lexenil Kingdom. These days, he has the air of a kindly old man, but in his youth, he was a brave warrior who personally led troops against monsters. He was the third son, but after his older brothers died one after another - one in an accident, one from illness - he was crowned at the unusually late age of forty-two. His current queen, Rieel, is twenty years his junior, but they're so devoted to each other that they're admired throughout the capital.
"Continue to strive for me and my kingdom."
===
Lymat Paradon (Male, 22 years old)
Anri's attendant. He serves under Anri's father, Hairyl. He accompanies Anri as her guardian and has also joined the vigilante group she formed. He claims to be B-class equivalent, but in truth, he's A-class. He keeps this hidden because it would be troublesome if she knew he was stronger than her. He's a thoughtful person and had doubts about Wolf's abilities from the very beginning.
"Good grief... Just who are you, anyway?"
===
Dallas Morgan (Male, 77 years old, Elf)
A mage serving the Rifalas household and Anri's attendant. Like Lymat, he serves as Anri's guardian, often getting dragged into her reckless schemes. He's a B-class mage who has mastered fifth-tier magic in wind and fire attributes. His loyalty runs so deep that it makes him inflexible, which has led to clashes with Wolf. He has a young, beautiful wife and is the father of two children.
"What are you doing here?"
===
Raam (Male, over 500 years old, Elf)
A mysterious old man Wolf encountered. His true identity is one of the legendary "Three Sages." He wanders from place to place in search of talented individuals. He has a female disciple named Akshal.
"What are you saying? Compared to someone like me, you're still a fledgling - nothing but a fledgling."
Summary:
The translation team systematically analyzed and translated each character profile from the Japanese light novel's introductory chapter, preserving distinct speech patterns, cultural nuances, and the author's casual commentary on gender balance. The collaborative process revealed the emotional undercurrents driving characters like Reminia's trauma-fueled overprotection and Hashiry's masculine pronoun usage stemming from childhood misidentification, while maintaining the light novel's signature blend of epic fantasy tropes and domestic humor.
