‎

‎The CEO flipped through the files with a sharp gaze.

‎

‎”The budget and timeline must be clear,” Sahriar Sikander said coldly.

“I do not tolerate delays.”

‎

‎Zimal stood straight and replied professionally,

‎”Yes, sir.

The construction and development teams are already coordinating.

The material estimation is almost complete as well.”

‎

‎Sahriar nodded slightly.

“Good.

I want a modern design, but quality must never be compromised.”

‎

‎”Understood, sir,” Zimal replied.

‎

‎Afifa added confidently,

‎”We are focusing on a luxury appearance with a sustainable structure.”

‎

‎Sahriar leaned back in his chair, eyes still on the report.

‎”I want the final presentation on my desk before the client meeting.”

‎

‎Zawar nodded quickly.

“Okay, sir.”

‎

‎The atmosphere in the conference room remained strict and focused.

Everyone was serious as the building model glowed on the screen, showing the future project in detail.

‎

‎Sahriar closed the file and looked at Ibrahim and Zimal.

‎

‎”Zimal, Ibrahim… I want both of you to inspect the building personally,” he ordered in a firm tone.

‎”Check every floor carefully and report any issue immediately.”

‎

‎”Yes, sir,” Ibrahim responded instantly.

‎

‎Zimal held her file close and nodded softly.

‎”Yes, sir.”

‎

‎”One more thing,” Sahriar added, his voice colder,

‎”The client visit is near.

I do not want any mistakes.”

‎

‎”Understood, sir.”

‎

‎—

‎

‎After the meeting, Zimal and Ibrahim headed toward the construction site.

‎

‎The unfinished building stood tall in front of them, surrounded by silence and dust.

Their footsteps echoed as they entered the structure.

‎

‎Zimal looked around carefully.

‎”The structure looks better than I expected,” she said quietly.

‎

‎Ibrahim pointed toward the upper floors.

‎”The interior work starts next week.

The CEO wants everything perfect before the client arrives.”

‎

‎Zimal glanced at the glass panels and modern design.

‎”The view from here is beautiful.

It really gives a luxury feel.”

‎

‎”Exactly,” Ibrahim replied.

“That’s the concept of this entire project.”

‎

‎They moved deeper inside while discussing design details and finishing work.

‎

‎After some time, Zimal spoke softly,

‎”Ibrahim sir, I’ll check inside.

You look at the outer construction.”

‎

‎”Alright,” Ibrahim agreed and went outside.

‎

‎—

‎

‎Zimal entered a storage room inside the building.

‎

‎It was a small, crowded space filled with raw materials, rods, and construction tools.

‎

‎She looked around and instructed a worker,

‎”Please shift these materials outside and clear the room.”

‎

‎The worker nodded and picked up a long metal rod.

‎

‎But in his hurry, the rod struck the weak ceiling.

‎

‎A sharp crack echoed.

‎

‎Before anyone could react, thin lines spread across the roof like spiderwebs.

‎

‎”Careful!” Zimal said immediately.

‎

‎But it was too late.

‎

‎The structure had already weakened.

‎

‎A loud rumble shook the room.

‎

‎Part of the wall collapsed violently, sending dust and debris everywhere.

The storage door slammed shut from the impact.

‎

‎”Zimal!” Ibrahim shouted from outside in panic.

‎

‎Inside, chaos erupted.

‎

‎A heavy concrete slab fell from above.

‎

‎Thud!

‎

‎It hit Zimal on the head.

‎

‎Her file slipped from her hands.

‎

‎Her vision blurred instantly.

‎

‎The room spun around her.

‎

‎Her legs weakened.

‎

‎And within seconds—

‎

‎Zimal collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.

‎

‎Dust filled the air while the broken structure groaned around her.

‎

‎—

‎

‎A worker ran back moments later and froze in horror.

‎

‎”Ma’am!

Ma’am!” he shouted, but there was no response.

‎

‎Terrified, he rushed outside.

‎”Sir!

The wall collapsed… Miss Zimal is unconscious!”

‎

‎Ibrahim’s face turned pale.

‎

‎Without hesitation, he ran back toward the site.

‎

‎”Everyone, get out NOW!” he shouted at the workers.

‎

‎Panic spread everywhere as people rushed out of the building.

‎

‎Ibrahim pushed through the debris, trying to reach Zimal.

‎

‎”Zimal!” he called again and again, but the dust blocked his view.

‎

‎At the same time, a worker rushed to the CEO’s office.

‎

‎”Sir!

The building site collapsed… Miss Zimal is injured!”

‎

‎For a moment—

‎

‎Silence.

‎

‎Then Sahriar Sikander stood up suddenly.

‎

‎His chair moved back sharply.

‎

‎His expression darkened instantly.

‎

‎Without saying a single word, he grabbed his coat and left.

‎

‎—

‎

‎Within minutes, he arrived at the site.

‎

‎The entire area was chaos—workers shouting, dust rising, sirens in the distance.

‎

‎But Sahriar didn’t look at anything else.

‎

‎His eyes searched only one thing.

‎

‎One person.

‎

‎”Zimal…” he muttered under his breath.

‎

‎And for the first time…

‎

‎His usual cold confidence cracked slightly.

‎

‎Something inside him had already changed.
