If they couldn’t train properly, then placing well in a competition was simply out of the question.

“I can’t even reach her by phone,” Yin Jingyun said, also displeased. “Has she blacklisted me?”
“I told sister that the whole family was worried about her, but…” Gu Wanning trailed off, hesitating.
“But what? What did she say?” Gu Zihao asked.
Gu Wanning sighed. “Sister said she doesn’t care about us at all, that she never wanted to consider us family. The only reason she was willing to come back to the Gu family was for the money, but as it turns out, we haven’t given her any.”
“How outrageous!” Gu Lianghui slammed his hand on the coffee table. “Raised in some lowly household, no manners at all! And she still dares to have her eye on the Gu family’s assets?”
“I knew her heart wasn’t pure. I should have known better than to acknowledge her back then,” Yin Jingyun complained. “Thank goodness we never gave her that sum your father left behind, or who knows how far she’d have gone by now.”
She spoke of seizing someone else’s inheritance as though it were the most natural thing in the world, and none of the others seemed to find anything wrong with it either.
“That’s exactly why, Dad, Mom, I’ve always said, Wanning is the only sister I have,” Gu Zihao said with a cold smile.
“In that case, let’s just stop bothering with her from now on. Let her fend for herself out there!”
Yin Jingyun nodded in agreement, but Gu Wanning sighed and said, “Dad, Mom, I’m afraid that won’t quite work.”
“Why not?”

“What are we going to do about this?” Yin Jingyun asked anxiously. “When we acknowledged her before, it even made the news, so many people know she’s our Gu family’s young lady! I don’t care whether she lives or dies out there on her own, but if she’s dating some man in his sixties and people find out, what will they think of our Gu family!”
Gu Lianghui shook with rage. “Have I ever let her go hungry or without clothes? How could she do something so disgraceful?”
“Dad, Mom, we really need to find her and bring her back quickly!” Gu Zihao said.
But in truth, the past couple of days he’d had people investigating where Gu Wanshi was getting her money, with no results at all.
So he could only pin his hopes on his father instead.
Gu Lianghui was the one in control of Gu Corporation, if he stepped in personally, things would surely be different.
“Send people to find her right away!” Gu Lianghui said furiously.
Hearing this, a flicker of triumph crossed Gu Wanning’s face.

The stairwell was covered with flyers and trash, giving off an unpleasant smell.
Zhao Tong said awkwardly, “Boss, why don’t you wait in the car, or go look around the area instead.”
Bringing someone as beautiful and refined as Gu Wanshi to a place like this really embarrassed her!
