Tyler exited the washroom to see the beautiful Natalie on her knees.

Her face was soggy with tears, and her lips quivered in anguish.

Yet, the young woman looked angelic, her dark cascading hair strewn about her shoulders and her radiant skin glistening under tears and perspiration.Full novel: The Gilded Man With A Thousand Lives — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

On recognizing Tyler, the beauty stared at him with her moist doe eyes and blinked her perfect eyelashes in surprise.

“Are you okay?” Tyler asked, extending a hand to help her up.

The young woman accepted his offer and slowly got to her feet.

For a moment, she saw him for what he really was—powerful, reliable, and dashing.

Natalie shook her head and moaned.

“You’re still here?”

Tyler let go of her hand and turned to leave.

“I just went to the washroom, leaving right now.

You don’t have to chase me out.

I have no intention of overstaying my welcome.”

“Wait!” she called out.

The young man turned around with a raised eyebrow.

“What now?

You’re not done berating me?”

Natalie mumbled through her sobs.

“I need your help!

Can you really heal my father?”

Tyler narrowed his eyes.

“You have me thrown out rudely and are now asking for my aid?

Are you unstable?

The audacity!”

Natalie’s first urge was to lambast the man for his attitude.

How dare he talk back to an Anderson scion in that manner?

Did he not fear the consequences?

However, she remembered her father’s condition and her own helplessness.

The young woman swallowed her pride.

Natalie’s following words were more friendly.

“You were right.

Dr.

Becker’s treatment quickened Dad’s paralysis instead of preventing it.

Not only that, the doctor said that Dad is heading towards a fatal stroke.

If you can do something to heal him, I will not stop you.

You owe it to him!”

Tyler observed her silently for a moment.

What’s wrong with this woman? This story is hosted at g.com.

“Do you think the entire world revolves around you, Ice Princess?

I owe nothing to your family!

In fact, it’s the other way around.

You may be a Princess in your ivory castle.

But I am the King of my own life.

Goodbye!”

Saying this, he turned about and began to walk down the corridor.

Natalie bit her lip begrudgingly since rarely anybody refused her demands.

She caught up to him and grabbed his arm.

“What can I do to convince you?

Do you want money?

Do you want me to plead?”

Tyler sighed and shook his hand free.

“Ask me nicely.”

“Fine!

Mr.

Grant… Please help my father.

I’ll be forever grateful to you!”

Tyler walked into the solar with Natalie.

The atmosphere was depressing—the butlers had downcast faces while the maids wept silently.

Everyone already believed that their master was about to die.

“I want the room cleared, Marvin,” Tyler told the Head Butler.

The latter was an Anderson family employee and was not supposed to take orders from outsiders.

However, he made an exception for the gifted young man.

After all, Tyler had already saved Silas and Tony once.

“Right away, sir,” the Head Butler replied with a bow.

He clapped his hands, ordering away all the staff present.

Ultimately, Tyler, Natalie, Dr.

Becker, and Marvin were left.

The doctor found Tyler’s presence odd.

“What are you doing here?” he asked in annoyance.

“It is better to have only family and close friends during a man’s last moments.”

Tyler gestured at Silas’ trembling body.

“I’m going to heal him.”

Dr.

Becker jumped to his feet and scoffed. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

“What nonsense are you blabbering, boy?

Mr.

Anderson cannot be saved even if the best cardiologist and the most advanced equipment in the world are brought here.

I’d rather not have you defile a dying man’s body!”

“Dr.

Becker, he has my permission,” Natalie said.

However, the doctor was adamant.

“It’s not your call, my dear.

It would be best if you began grieving instead of falling prey to snake-oil salesmen like him.

As Mr.

Anderson’s personal physician, I will not allow it!”

Tyler’s cold gaze shifted to Dr.

Becker, and a shiver ran up his spine.

“Are you trying to scare me?”

“We don’t have time to assuage your ego,” the young man replied.

“If I tell you the name of the secret ailment you have not shared with anybody else, will you let me operate?”

Becker waved a dismissive hand.

Clearly, the fraud was bluffing.

He did have a sensitive condition that only his wife was aware of.

However, there was no way a stranger could discover it.

“Go ahead!

Let’s see what you have.”

Tyler turned on Chiron’s Eye for a split second.

“You’ve been impotent for seven years.”

Becker’s face turned red immediately, and he staggered back to his seat.

“How did you-”

“Enough!

We had a deal.

Do I have your legal permission to operate on your patient?”

Becker was still reeling from the shock, but the young man’s conviction was intimidating.

He buried his face in embarrassment and nodded.

Tyler turned to Silas with urgency.

Even though the billionaire was in his early fifties, he looked like eighty already.

The aging and strokes couldn’t result from a heart condition.

It was something else entirely.

Tyler turned on Chiron’s eye in full blast.

In his vision, he saw a dark purple energy flowing in Silas’ veins.

It had made a home in his heart, slowly sipping away the old man’s life force.

“Someone poisoned your father,” Tyler announced to Natalie.
