They say every "hero" who saves the world comes in many forms. Some face evil with courage. Others... just wonder what's for lunch.

The hero summoned by the Fitzgard Empire was the latter.

They brought him to end the war against the Asiria Kingdom, but in truth, he was just another pawn in a political game.Full novel: The Goddess Finally Snapped After the 1000th Isekai Summon — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Or so everyone thought.

Things changed when a certain middle-aged man—no, his "guardian"—showed up alongside the hero, Masato.

That man was the Thunder God Thor—one of the mightiest among the Aesir, often compared to Zeus himself.

The priests who planned to exploit Masato quickly lost their nerve and apologized. Even the emperor—once a scheming prince—could only laugh.

As for the Asiria Kingdom?

Once word spread that "the Thunder God" had appeared, they panicked. "Wait, a god!? We surrender!" they cried, offering peace before a single strike was made.

And so, by accident, Masato and Thor ended the war.

"Master! Master! There's something suspicious behind this wall!"

"Hmm. Looks like the perfect spot for a hidden room."

The two had fulfilled their duty and were now free. But Masato, ever curious, said, "We came all the way to another world—might as well have an adventure!"

Thor's eyes lit up. "Aye! That's the spirit of a man!"

And so began the adventures of the strongest duo in this world.

* * *

"Masato! Tooru! Don't run ahead of me!"

"Relax. They can handle a few traps."

"...That's not the point."

Over time, their group grew: a small but feisty thief girl, a calm sorcery master, and a hardworking priest knight.

Ordinary people? Hardly. Anyone who could keep up with a hero and a god was bound to be strange.

By the way, "Tooru" was Thor's alias—officially Masato's "uncle."

He wasn't exactly subtle about hiding his identity... but since no one noticed, it didn't matter.

"Hmm. A wall to break? Then it's my turn. Come forth—Mjolnir!"

Thor raised his short-handled hammer—the weapon that shattered worlds.

Once, Loki tricked him into visiting the giants without it. Luckily, a passing old woman lent him a magic staff with equal power.

What a woman.

"'Mjolnir,' huh?" the sorcery master mused. "Oh! That's clever—your name and the hammer's!"

(Is she serious!? That's the real thing! He's the real Thor!)

The priest knight held back his inner scream.

In truth, he wasn't a knight at all—but a Dullahan under the command of the Demon King. Since another hero had already fallen for that Demon King, this Dullahan was here to "keep an eye" on Masato.

Unfortunately for him, life around Thor was an endless headache.

People say a Dullahan can't pass rivers and rides a headless horse-drawn carriage to visit houses of the dying.

...So yeah, probably undead after all.

"Then—Thor Hammer!"

(He just shouted his name out loud!)

Mjolnir glowed, thunder cracked, and yet somehow, only the Dullahan noticed.

Once again, the world remained blissfully unaware.

Today, too, this otherworld was peaceful.

"Amaterasu's cute, but she doesn't seem all that reliable."

"She's not the fighting type. Put her against vampires, though, and she's unbeatable."

"Yeah, that's more Susanoo or Takemikazuchi's department."

Meanwhile, in Takamagahara—the High Plain of Heaven—Amaterasu herself frowned at a laptop on her knees, scrolling through human opinions about her.

"Unreliable, huh..." she muttered, clearly annoyed.

Tsukuyomi, her younger brother, glanced over suspiciously.

"...Elder sister, what are you doing? And why is Tajikarao—"

"Push-ups!" came a booming reply.

The voice belonged to Ame-no-Tajikarao, a god of strength—famous for pulling Amaterasu out of the heavenly cave during the Ama-no-Iwato incident.

Now he was doing push-ups—with Amaterasu sitting on his back, laptop and all.

Tsukuyomi sighed. Part of him was jealous.

"Why exactly are you... using her as a weight?"

"Extra... resistance..." Tajikarao grunted.

"And you, elder sister—what's troubling you this time?"

"Hm? Just wondering how to restore my dignity. People say I've lost my divine presence lately."

Tsukuyomi bit back the obvious response—You never had any.

After all, this was the same goddess who invited another deity, Toyouke, to share her shrine because she hated being alone.

"If you want dignity," Tajikarao offered, "you should build muscle."

"Silence. Keep doing your push-ups."

Tsukuyomi cut him off before his nonsense could spread.

A buff Amaterasu might indeed command respect—but the world wasn't ready for that.

"...That's it!"

"No, it's not!"

"Then allow me to demonstrate an ideal training regimen—"

"You will not!"

Despite Tsukuyomi's protests, Amaterasu and Tajikarao began excitedly planning a workout routine.

Even the calm, usually aloof moon god panicked.

And so, Takamagahara remained peaceful.
