Early morning.

When Lin Nianxi woke up, her entire body ached.

She shifted slightly, and there wasn’t a single part of her that didn’t hurt. Looking down, she saw red marks of varying depths all over her collarbone, arms, shoulders…Full novel: The Good Girl Entered the Wrong Room and Was Kissed to Tears by the Daddy-Style Mogul — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The bed beside her was already cold.

Lin Nianxi sat up and looked around. The spacious presidential suite was empty.

Had he run away?

“Bastard… tricked me out of my body, big bad guy!” Lin Nianxi’s eyes reddened as she cursed, feeling wronged.

Thinking about how she had been completely taken advantage of, losing her virginity, being treated so roughly, and not getting a single cent to save her grandmother, her heart ached with sorrow.

“Wah… bastard… the kind of big bad guy who pulls up his pants and pretends not to know you, how could he be so wicked, tricking a young girl out of her body…”

“I curse him to be impotent for the rest of his life…”

As she cried, she picked up the clothes from the floor and put them on.

Just as her words fell, the door was pushed open from the outside.

A tall, slender man stood against the light, carrying a food container as he entered the hotel. His deep, dark eyes calmly glanced at her.

Lin Nianxi’s crying stopped abruptly. Her long, curled lashes were still wet with glistening tears as she stared at him, frozen in place.

The air fell silent for three seconds.

“…So you didn’t leave after all.” She hastily wiped the tears from her face and looked at him apologetically. “Sorry, I misunderstood you.”

If he hadn’t run away, did that mean he would still give her the money?

Would her grandmother be saved then?

Huo Jingmo strode over with his long legs, placed the food container on the bedside table, and took a check and a fountain pen from the understated yet luxurious inner pocket of his suit, handing them to her.

“Fill it out.”

Seeing how soundly she was sleeping, he hadn’t had the heart to disturb her. Instead, he had gone to the restaurant on the first floor for breakfast and brought some back for her.

Yet, in her eyes, he had become the kind of bad guy who pulls up his pants and pretends not to know her?

And he was even cursed with impotence?

Seeing how young she was, Huo Jingmo decided not to take it to heart.

Lin Nianxi took the check and looked at him eagerly. “Can I write any amount I want?”

Huo Jingmo’s lips curved slightly—what a greedy little thing.

He sat down on the leather sofa nearby, crossing his long legs with an air of noble elegance. “Yes.”

Lin Nianxi was overjoyed. Holding the fountain pen, she leaned over the bedside table and solemnly began writing on the check.

She wrote carefully, stroke by stroke, afraid of making even a single mistake with the zeros.

After finishing, she pushed through her sore body to stand up and handed the check to the man on the sofa with both hands.

Huo Jingmo’s slender, well-defined fingers casually took it.

He had expected the young girl to write a figure like a hundred million, but when his eyes fell on the number on the check, a flicker of disbelief passed through his dark eyes.

One million?

Huo Jingmo’s deep gaze fixed on her. “Are you sure this is all you want?”

Lin Nianxi’s heart skipped a beat.

Would he think she was asking for too much?

After all, one million was indeed not a small amount.

But her grandmother’s surgery and the follow-up treatment would cost exactly one million.

Biting her delicate lower lip, she whispered, “But you just said I could write any amount…”

Seeing her nervous expression, as if she feared he would go back on his word, Huo Jingmo replied, “Fine.”

Lin Nianxi breathed a sigh of relief, her previously anxious little face lighting up again. She hurriedly folded the check like a treasure and tucked it into her bag, muttering softly, “Then it’s happily decided. You can’t go back on your word.”

“Alright,” Huo Jingmo replied with an amused curl of his lips.

In her eyes, was he the kind of person who went back on his word so easily?

“I’m leaving,” Lin Nianxi said, picking up her bag and rising to go—

“Have breakfast before you leave,” the man’s deep, magnetic voice sounded behind her.

“No need,” Lin Nianxi replied without looking back, breaking into a jog as she left the room. Her legs were still weak, causing her steps to be uneven, and her high heels left a crooked trail on the corridor carpet.

Huo Jingmo watched the young woman’s hurried retreating figure, his deep, dark eyes flickering slightly.

He picked up his phone and dialed a number. “Help me look into someone.”

…

Not long after Lin Nianxi left, a hotel housekeeper passed through the corridor. Glancing at the room number plate, she paused.

The gold-plated number plate for Room 906 was crooked, with the “9” hanging upside down, making it look like a “6.”

The housekeeper fetched a ladder, climbed up, and reached out to straighten the plate.

She hoped the guest hadn’t misread the room number.

An hour later, Lin Nianxi went to the hospital with the cashed money. After successfully paying her grandmother’s medical fees, she finally let out a sigh of relief.

Just then, the phone in her trench coat pocket kept vibrating.

Lin Nianxi took out her phone and saw that it was her aunt, Zhao Yun, calling.

What did Zhao Yun want from her?

Had she discovered that the money was taken and was now coming to cause trouble?

Taking a deep breath, she answered the call.

“Lin Nianxi! Where the hell have you been?!”

As soon as the call connected, Zhao Yun’s sharp, piercing shriek exploded from the receiver.

Lin Nianxi quickly covered the speaker and turned the volume down to the lowest setting.

Thankfully, no one around was paying attention to her.

She held the phone to her ear.

“You ungrateful wretch! You little bitch! Think you’ve grown wings, huh? You don’t even answer your phone!”

“My phone was on silent…” Lin Nianxi explained.

“Don’t give me excuses! Last night, I told you to accompany Boss Wang—where were you?!” Zhao Yun shouted angrily.

Lin Nianxi tightened her grip on the phone. “I was with him last night…”

“You dare lie to me! You never showed up last night! Boss Wang waited for you all night and didn’t even catch a glimpse of you! He was so furious he cursed us out!”

“Do you have any idea how badly you’ve offended Boss Wang?!” Zhao Yun screamed furiously, her spittle practically spraying through the screen. “First thing this morning, Boss Wang called and cursed your uncle out! He accused our Lin family of playing him for a fool! Not only did he withdraw all investment intentions, but he also plans to rally the chamber of commerce to blacklist the Lin family’s company!”

“Lin Nianxi, I’m telling you—if the Lin family goes bankrupt, I’ll skin you alive!”

Zhao Yun’s curses continued, but Lin Nianxi could no longer hear them.

Her mind went blank with a sudden, deafening buzz.

Last night, she had gone to the hotel. She had entered a room. She had… slept with a man.

If Boss Wang had waited all night in Room 806…

Then which room had she entered last night? And who was the man who had worn her out half to death?!

“You little bitch, are you even listening to me?!”

Zhao Yun’s furious roar snapped Lin Nianxi back to reality.

“I’m warning you, clean up your own mess! Tonight at eight, V8 private room at Shengshi Club, you better scrub yourself clean and crawl over there to properly apologize to Boss Wang!”

“If you can’t appease Boss Wang and secure the investment, don’t even think about stepping foot in the Lin family again! As for that deadbeat grandmother of yours, I’ll cut off her medical expenses tonight and pull her oxygen tube! I guarantee she won’t live past tomorrow!”

With that, Zhao Yun hung up the phone.

Before Lin Nianxi could even react, a WeChat notification chimed on her phone.

Zhao Yun had sent a message.

“Take a good look! This is the real Boss Wang! Make sure you serve him well tonight!”

Lin Nianxi opened the photo.

The man in the picture was wearing an ill-fitting, tight floral shirt, with a shiny bald spot on top of his head. His face was greasy, his belly swollen like he was ten months pregnant, and he grinned at the camera with a mouthful of yellow teeth, his eyes filled with a nauseating lewdness.

Lin Nianxi’s stomach churned violently, and she nearly vomited on the spot.

So this was the real Boss Wang.

She had truly slept with the wrong man!
