There she stood, her back straight as could be. Thaelia had enjoyed her life in this world, as much as she could, anyway. There she stood, with her sisters and the leader of their group, Sebas Tian. She sighed at his name, Touch Me had no real naming sense.
There they were, in a left in a rather random hallway, until the end of the game. It was a sad state of affairs. It had been fun, really, it had been fun. In her past life, she didn’t have any real father figure. Here now, she did. Momonga was a rather good man.
She sighed once more, she had been doing that a lot recently. She simply waited there, waited for the end. She didn’t know how accurate to the canon of the show this end was going to be. Momonga might just leave and set off those fireworks that he had set up in the side story.
Yet, Thaelia didn’t really care all too much right now. right now, all she cared about was what would come after. After all, she was fairly certain that things would change from what she knew. She was also fairly certain that she didn’t have the faintest clue on what was going to happen, along with those changes.
It was only after a good and long wait that she was fairly certain that things would be going to the way of canon. As she hummed a tune in the back of her mind as she counted the air particles that she could see, she noticed him.
He wore a female avatar in this timeline for whatever the reason. It moved gracefully across the floor, the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown gripped in one hand. Thaelia couldn’t help but lock her eyes onto the staff. Its power was clear as day to her in this state, as an NPC.
Her mind was whirling as a realization came to her. It was that she didn’t know what to do afterwords. After they were summoned to another world, to the new world. What would they do then? What would they expect of her? She could feel her flavor text in her mind.
The person she was supposed to be and the person that she was weren’t two different people. Yet would the other NPCs notice? Would they be able to tell that she wasn’t like them in totality?
That didn’t matter now though. What mattered was that he was standing right in front of her. Thaelia looked right at the female overlord. Her gaze lingered on the staff for but a moment before he walked over to Sebas. He spoke, his voice changer doing a lot of work.
“I seem to have forgotten your name. What is it, I wonder?” he said, the staff raising to meet the NPC.
As he checked over some of his flavor text, Thaelia wondered something. Who was she actually supposed to be? After all, her flavor text simply said that she liked music and breaking those that would do harm to the tomb and its denizens. What did that entail though?
What kind of breaking? How would her mind change when they were pulled there? These questions she had asked herself when she had first been made into an NPC. Yet now she found that she was revisiting them. She blinked, pulled from her thoughts as she and her sisters moved to follow Momonga.
Down the hallway, up the flight of stairs, and next to the throne room doors. Thaelia looked all around herself with her eyes. She noted the demon shaped golems along the walls. Not all of them had been finished. She also noted the door, it had been altered.
Before, it had shown an angel and a demon encircling each other in some sort of union. It had looked like they were standing vigil. Now, it was simply replaced with the visage of Momonga.
Well, two of them at least. One of them looked like the Momonga that she knew, and that had made her. The other one looked like an angelic version of Momonga. Maybe it was an earlier version of his avatar? Or maybe it was simply a what if version of himself?
Whatever it was, it wasn’t as important as what he was doing now. Momonga opened the doors, the sound reverberating around the place. Thaelia looked on ahead, her sight locking onto that other the sole NPC in the whole of the guild hall.
There she stood, Albedo in all her splendor. The succubus locked eyes with her as well, and she could swear that she felt her looking at her. Not in a creepy way, mind you. Just in a greeting a neighbor way. It was like a weight lifted off of her shoulders at that. The NPC may have been more than meets the eye, but she was fine.
Momonga looked up at all of the banners that hung from the ceiling. Emotion was obvious in his body language. One thing that she never understood about the game Yggdrasil, was that they seemingly couldn’t figure out how faces worked.
She remembered in her past life a certain French man that the internet fell in love with. He had seemingly cracked the code on how to do it. Surely, they could figure it out. Thaelia was pulled from her thoughts when Momonga gave an order.
“You can stop following now,” he said in that female voice, and Thaelia bid as he asked.
Yet her siblings didn’t. They followed him up the steps, and near the throne. Momonga turned around, slightly annoyed with them. His own eyes met the NPC that he had made and smiled under his interface.
At least the one that he had made, Thaelia Theta, had good AI. Momonga turned in full to face them all. He put a hand to his feminine chin as Thaelia looked on, wondering and waiting for what the end would bring.
“Return to rest?” she ordered, her memory a bit fuzzy on the words.
The NPCs took this, and walked off to the sides of the stairs. Thaelia would have rolled her eyes if she could. She couldn’t, for some reason. She didn’t care all too much.
What she cared about now, was what Momonga was doing to Albedo with the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown. She watched, with baited breath, as he looked over the flavor text. She then watched him gawk as he read the last line.
“She’s a slut? What the fuck is that supposed to mean. It isn’t even Gap Moe. She’s a succubus, of course she likes to fuck!” Momonga swore, raising his arms up in a sigh.
“Alright, I’m changing this. “She is in love with Momonga,” there” she intoned, sealing her fate as a lesbian for all eternity.
Then she lay back, mumbling things that Thaelia couldn’t hear. She closed her eyes, and time passed. Time passed, and something shifted. She felt the world change, it was as if she had a weight on her shoulders. Thaelia looked around, using her head instead of only her eyes.
She breathed as a person would. She gazed at the banners of the 41 supreme beings. She looked then to her creator. Momonga opened her eyes. While confusion wasn’t evident on her face, it was surely there.
She saw her body shift as panic began top set in. Then she saw her shift into a more relaxed position. She decided to speak up. Even though the other NPCs would probably get mad at her, she didn’t really care.
“Lord Momonga, is something the matter?” she asked, concerned.
Momonga looked at her with shock. Of course, it didn’t show on her face. Yet she could tell it was there.
“The GM call isn’t working,” she said softly, looking at her hands.
“What about the message spell, my lord?” she asked, knowing that it wouldn’t do anything, but it wouldn’t hurt to remind him, or her or whatever they wanted to call themselves.
“Good idea,” she responded weakly, and she put a hand to the side of her head, “no one is out there,” They mumbled softly.
