Momonga looked at the battle maid in front of her. The werewolf stood there, in front of her desk, keeping her back rather straight. It seemed that she was nervous. That was understandable. She had rarely talked to the werewolf these days, and yet the girl, was seemingly scared.

She sighed in her mind, and spoke. She tried to make her tone as smooth and as calm as possible. Yet it seemed that it just made her more nervous.

“What do you have there, Lupisregina?” she asked, her tone smooth as silk.

She nodded her head once, and set the bottle on her desk as she began to explain. Her voice seemed somewhat strained as she spoke. Maybe she needed a glass of water?

“When I went to the village earlier today, I noticed that Enri had come back from the forest. She went in to gather herbs. When she came back, she was traveling with a hobgoblin that I had never seen before. He had some news about some, “Giant of the East,” getting ready to attack the Temple of the Dead in the forest,” she explained, and Momonga nodded her head.

She would have to send Aura to go and see what was going on. The girl hadn’t done much as of recent days. It would be good to send her out and stretch her legs.

She picked up the potion that had been set on the desk. It was a purple concoction. It had glittering particles floating inside it. She peered into the liquid, wondering what it fully did.

“This is the potion that Nfirea made. He said it isn’t as effective as the minor potions that we have, it does recover stamina,” Lupis explained.

Momonga nodded at that. That made sense. After all, if he was halfway through on the potion ladder, then this one being purple made sense. She picked it up, and held it to the light. She swirled it some, then took the top off and gulped it down, wondering what it would taste like.

Lupis flinched as she did so, holding out an arm as the liquid traveled down her throat. She sighed as the positive energy tingled her slightly. Of course, it couldn’t hurt her. It didn’t have enough data to do harm to her.

It tasted a bit like mint and lemon. Yet, other than that, it didn’t do really anything. She looked back at Lupis as she herself explained the plan going forward.

“Alright, the plan going forward is that you will continue to guard the village. Aura, some of her pets, and I will scout out and try to find this Giant of the East. You will tell them this after I have found the beast. Am I understood?” she asked, and Lupis nodded her head in assent.

“Good,” she continued, “you are dismissed.”

Lupisregina then exited the room. Yet, as the daily maid closed the door, Momonga couldn’t help but hear Lupis as she hooped and hollered about something or other. She was loud, very loud.

“Oh, my goddess! She is so cool! I wish I was just like her! The way she sits, the way she talks, the way she moves just oozes elegance. She’s so cool!” Lupis ranted and raved.

Momonga just sighed once more, and shook her head in exasperation. She hadn’t been aware of the devotion that the werewolf seemingly had for her, yet now she did. Just what was going on in that little maid’s head? She may never know.

She sighed as she leaned back in her chair. Now was not the time to be thinking of that. Obviously, she needs to check out this Giant of the east. There may have been details that Lupis missed. She also just really wanted to get outside and get some fresh air.

…

Aura smiled to herself. Today was a great day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the wind had died down. she was also with Lady Momonga. She was the best supreme being ever! Well, second best, right next to Lady Bukubukuchagama.

Still, the day was great. Sure, she still needed to check out this Giant of The East, but she was still feeling good. She smiled as she looked back to Lady Momonga, and she smiled back.

They themselves were searching for something called the, “Giant of The East.” Well, her animals were really the ones searching. In truth, Momonga and her were simply enjoying the sun.

They rode upon the back of her Fenrir. He was a massive wolf that were supposed to live in the realm of Helheim. Yet, here he was, being rode by a Goddess and a dark elf. It was still a good day any.

Yet it was then that Momonga tapped the girl’s waist with her hands. Aura blushed in embarrassment. Heat coming to her face, she looked away and sputtered. Momonga meanwhile, asked a simple question.

“Aura, are you eating enough?” she asked, and the floor guardian looked back at her, “I know you eat the meals you’re supposed to eat, but are you still hungry after?” she asked, and Aura blushed a bit more.

“Yes, I’m eating my food. I really like the hamburgers the chef makes me. They’re good, just really good,” she said as they rode on.

“That is good. I don’t want you hungry, now do we?” she asked rhetorically.

Aura simply nodded her head. The blush on her face had gone down. She smiled at the thought of her lady caring for her so much. She literally couldn’t think of any of the other supreme ones doing so. It just didn’t make any sense. Maybe her creator would care for her in such a way?

“Aura?” her Lady asked once more, “is there anyone in the tomb that you like?” she asked.

Aura blushed once more. What kind of question was that? Sure, she was the supreme one, but still!

“I like you, Lady Momonga,” she said with a bit of embarrassment.

The older woman didn’t really think much of this answer, and kissed the top of the other girl’s head. This earned a sputter from the dark elf, and a slight giggle from the Overlord. she spoke then, in that soothing tone of voice that could melt butter.

“I like you too, little one,” she uttered.

The Floor Guardian sighed as she realized that she simply meant that she liked her a familiar bond. Such as with herself and her brother. That was understandable. She didn’t truly think that she liked the supreme one that way. Aura was pretty sure that she liked boys, anyway.

It was then that she felt her pets tell her something. They had found their quarry. The Giant of The East was near.
