When Chen Kang heard the unhurried footsteps behind him, his legs went weak, and he instantly dropped to his knees. His face was deathly pale, his lips trembling as if every word was being squeezed out from between his teeth.

“Song Yu, I’m begging you! If I can’t come up with this money, I’ll really die!”

“You… you have so much money. Just spare a little for me.” As he spoke, he shuffled forward on his knees, tears and snot streaming down his face.Full novel: The Harder the Alpha Bully Kisses, the Harder His Beta Lackey Cries — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Song Yu took a step back in disgust.

“Damn it!” Seeing this, Chen Kang flew into a rage from shame. His face, originally twisted with tears and snot, contorted even more fiercely. His eyes reddened, and he lunged violently toward Song Yu.

Song Yu might be humble about other things, but when it came to dodging harm, he could be said to be unmatched.

“Have you gone mad?” Song Yu leaned against the wall on one side, while Chen Kang, carried by his own momentum, crashed to the ground, letting out a pained cry.

“Ah!!”

Immediately after, a trail of blood began to flow from his body.

Song Yu: ??

By the dim light of the alley, Song Yu could still make out the small knife hidden under Chen Kang’s abdomen, glinting with a silver gleam.

Now Song Yu felt even less sympathy for this man.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Brother Wang, who had been strolling leisurely behind him, suddenly pick up speed and charge toward his location.

“Oh, damn.”

Song Yu’s eyes widened. He wanted to keep running, but he couldn’t outpace the burly Brother Wang. Just as he was about to be caught, he mustered all his breath and roared, “You’d better watch out!”

“I have someone powerful backing me!!”

Brother Wang sneered at his words. “Someone powerful? Even if it were the Jade Emperor himself, he’d have to kneel before me!”

“You’ll regret this! Don’t be scared when you hear this!” As Song Yu spoke, his hand, unnoticed by everyone, pulled out his phone and, relying on muscle memory, pressed the numbers 110.

“It’s someone from the Lu family!”

“System!! Are you just going to stand by and watch me get beaten up!?” He gritted his teeth, grabbing the translucent screen in his mind and slamming it twice.

Even in the dim environment, Brother Wang remained alert and noticed Song Yu’s movements. He snorted coldly. “Trying to stall for time?”

Seeing that he had been discovered, Song Yu turned to run, only to hear Brother Wang cry out in pain behind him. “Who the hell ambushed me?!”

“Puppy.”

What puppy? Who’s talking?

Song Yu frowned, lifting his head toward the voice, his eyes widening in shock.

Holy crap!

The school bully!

On the third floor, Lu Qiwen leaned against the window, looking down at Song Yu with a faint, mocking smile. “Someone powerful backing you?”

“And with the surname Lu.”

“Who could that possibly be? So hard to guess.”

Song Yu’s heart pounded wildly at Lu Qiwen’s words, one after another. He could only force a smile. “Brother Lu, what are you doing here?”

“Don’t want me here?”

“Of course not!” Song Yu chuckled awkwardly.

Brother Wang glanced at the bottle on the ground, touched the spot where he had been hit, and rage surged within him. He stomped the bottle under his foot. “Damn it! Who the hell are you? Daring to mess with me like this? You’re looking for death!!”

Lu Qiwen didn’t respond, only leaning forward slightly. Half of his face was bathed in the dim yellow light of the alley, and the corner of his mouth lifted ambiguously. “Oh?”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it seemed to make the light flicker.

He steadied himself, each breath feeling like swallowing scalding magma. As if crushed under a weight, his knees gave way, and Brother Wang suddenly lost strength, collapsing to his knees.

Sweat-soaked forehead pressed tightly against his skin, his vision gradually blurred and wavered. He clenched his teeth. At this moment, the pheromones in the air were no longer just a simple scent, they felt like a pair of massive hands gripping his throat, forcing him to lower his gaze and submit completely.

“I…” A metallic, bloody taste rose in his throat. The demeanor he had just displayed had been ruthlessly crushed by the one who ruled this territory.

“Who’s looking for death?” Lu Qiwen chuckled softly.

Song Yu blinked. Why had this person suddenly knelt down?

“Is the school bully really that notorious?”

“School bully?” Relying on the superior hearing of an alpha, Lu Qiwen immediately caught Song Yu’s muttered words.

“Who are you calling a school bully?”

Song Yu looked into Lu Qiwen’s dark, oppressive eyes. The instinct of a small, vulnerable creature sent a chill down his spine. “No! I, I was talking about him!”

As he spoke, Song Yu immediately raised his hand and pointed at Chen Kang, who had already lost consciousness from excessive blood loss.

Lu Qiwen didn’t believe him, but after glancing at Song Yu’s pale face, he snorted and withdrew his pheromones.

Beside them, Brother Wang had also fallen unconscious, with a foul-smelling, oddly colored liquid spreading beneath him.

Song Yu covered his nose in disgust.

“Come up.”

“Huh?” Song Yu looked up again. “What about these two?”

“Someone will come to clean up later.” With that, Lu Qiwen disdainfully closed the window.

Song Yu walked out of the alley and, following the location of the room, discovered it was actually an internet café.

The school bully goes to an internet café?!

An unbelievable suspicion rose in his heart.

Could it be that he’s been here all these days?

Lu Qiwen sprawled on the sofa, picked up his phone, and called Jiang Yuanheng.

However, after three consecutive calls, all went unanswered.

Lu Qiwen stared at his phone screen in disbelief.

Where the hell is he?

Did he go abroad again?

He lazily yawned, and the next second, his phone rang.

“What do you want?” The voice on the other end was hoarse, thick with satisfaction.

“Since when did you develop the bad habit of not answering calls?” As a fellow alpha, Lu Qiwen immediately sensed something was off.

“What have you been up to lately?”

There was a pause on the other end, followed by a clearing of the throat. “Nothing. Don’t go making wild guesses.”

“State your business or get lost.”

Lu Qiwen grew more and more skeptical, but he wasn’t the type to pry into others’ private lives. “I haven’t been home lately. The old man took away my people and froze all my cards. Send a few guys to clean up the two people downstairs.”

“Downstairs from you?”

“Fine. As your older brother, how could I not clean up your mess?”

“Get lost.”

When Song Yu went upstairs, he noticed that although it was an internet café, there were very few people, so few that, apart from the staff, there wasn’t a single customer.

This was right next to the university district. How was that even possible?

“Hello, I’m looking for Brother Lu.”

The person at the front desk was idly playing a game. Startled, they hurriedly put away their phone. Upon hearing it was someone looking for a person, they relaxed their posture and rolled their eyes.

“If you’re looking for someone, why ask me? Are you blind?”

“Disturbing my game to come here looking for someone, are you out of your mind?”

Song Yu frowned and was about to say something when he saw a figure emerge from the elevator. His large eyes flickered slightly as a plan formed in his mind.

“I want to file a complaint! What kind of attitude is this? Get your boss out here!”

“Boss?” The receptionist narrowed his eyes, sizing him up without a hint of warmth. “Someone like you thinks you can-”

Before he could finish, footsteps sounded from behind. Without even a chance to turn around, he was kicked to the ground.
