It was just that, for now, this idea could only remain a thought. The mountain of packages piled by the door didn’t allow Gu Yuan any time to spare.
What he didn’t know was that Luo, without his “mama” by his side, had already hugged the tablet and was charging forward on his path of absorbing knowledge.
After all, Luo wasn’t truly a hatchling. These games were far too simple for him, each one could be cleared in just two or three minutes.
After playing for a while, he began to find the games dull and uninteresting. So he tried exploring other functions on the tablet, eventually opening one of the informational videos and watching attentively as the screen came to life.
It was an educational video about male and female biology.
The insect race was extremely open when it came to sex education. Even on a tablet designed for young hatchlings, there were quite a few videos covering such topics.
But Luo had no awareness of what he was watching.
More precisely, in his world, the concept of “gender” had never existed at all.
He watched for about ten minutes and the more he watched, the more absurd it all seemed:
The race he supposedly belonged to was called the Zerg, divided into males and females.
Within this race, males were exceedingly rare, small and physically fragile. Because of this, males were revered while females were considered inferior and every single male was treated like a priceless treasure.
Females, on the other hand, were divided into military females and sub females. Military females were tall and imposing, equipped with sharp wing blades, capable of partially transforming their bodies into insectoid forms for combat. High ranking military females could even survive in the vacuum of space.
Sub females were comparatively smaller and weaker than military females, though still generally stronger than males.
Due to the imbalance in gender ratios, although a male could only have one official consort, he could take countless females as attendants or slaves. Moreover, once a female married a male, she would be required to hand over all her property and take full responsibility for every aspect of the male’s daily life.
In short, it was utterly ridiculous.
And yet, those insects were claiming that he was one of them, a male, no less.
Luo might have lost his memory but he wasn’t a fool. He was absolutely certain that he was not an insect. His tentacles were nothing like the so called “mental tentacles” described in the video, which were said to bring supreme pleasure to females. Naturally, he found this entire twisted worldview deeply shocking.
This so called “Zerg society” was far too distorted, so much so that it felt as though some evil god had invaded and warped the natural laws that should have governed the universe…
Luo’s thoughts abruptly stalled.
Why had he suddenly thought of an evil god? Clearly, there was no such concept as “gods” in this world.
He tried to recall but that portion of his memory was like a name he could never remember, ripped away entirely, leaving no trace behind in his mind.
The sensation of amnesia was far from pleasant. Luo pursed his lips and decided to go find Gu Yuan.
He was hungry. He wanted to recover his memories. He needed to eat.
But Gu Yuan had been busy moving in supplies for him and had gone out again just now, most likely still carrying things.
Recalling how he had seen the others walk earlier, Luo cautiously stretched one foot down toward the floor.
The ground had already been carefully covered with a long, soft white carpet. When his foot touched it, it sank into the plush fibers, soft and yielding beneath him.
Barefoot, Luo stepped onto the carpet, bracing himself against the bed as he slowly pushed himself upright, swaying unsteadily until he managed to stand.
Gu Yuan still hadn’t found his clothes among the mountain of packages, so Luo was currently wearing nothing but an oversized hoodie that reached down to his knees.
Combined with his long black hair cascading loosely over his shoulders and his dazed, innocent expression… it was an extremely dangerous image for a male.
But Luo had no awareness of how he appeared. Instead, he felt quite satisfied as he sensed his limbs gradually regaining strength. With his limited vocabulary, he called out toward the door:
“Yuan! Mama!”
“What is it?”
Hearing the call, Gu Yuan hurried over. The moment he pushed the door open and saw Luo standing on the floor, his heart nearly skipped a beat.
He strode forward quickly, catching the unsteady Luo in his arms, his brows knitting together. “Why did you suddenly get down? What if you fell?”
He lifted Luo back onto the bed and only then did his wildly pounding heart settle slightly.
Heaven knew how tense he had been when he saw Luo swaying like that, this was possibly the first S class male in the Zerg and a newly hatched one at that. If he so much as fell and got a bruise, the Male Protection Association would never let him off lightly.
Luo, however, had no idea what Gu Yuan was so nervous about. He only knew that he had finally managed to stand and before he could even familiarize himself with this unfamiliar body, he had been scooped back onto the bed, instantly back to square one.
Already in a bad mood because of his amnesia, he felt even worse now. Luo’s lips drooped as, still half held in Gu Yuan’s arms, he reached up and grabbed the man’s collar.
“Hungry!”
“…Hungry?”
Gu Yuan froze for a moment before realizing that the little male in front of him hadn’t eaten anything since hatching.
Allowing Luo to tug at him, he bent down cooperatively, letting the weak grip pull him closer as he asked patiently, “Then what does Luo want to eat? I’ll make it for you.”
Cooking was a required skill for every female. Even someone like Gu Yuan, a military female, possessed excellent culinary abilities.
Back in his training days, he had even scored full marks in his cooking class.
One of Luo’s tentacles remained loosely coiled around Gu Yuan’s wrist, which meant that he could, in fact, fully understand what the other was saying.
But he didn’t respond. Lowering his gaze, he softly repeated:
“Hungry.”
At the same time, behind him, countless grotesque tentacles surged forth, spreading wildly to envelop the entire room. Like a predatory creature closing in on its prey, every single tip pointed menacingly at Gu Yuan.
Unable to see the tentacles, Gu Yuan remained completely unaware of the danger approaching, still asking patiently, “So what exactly does Luo want to eat?”
The intertwined mass of tentacles moved slowly, like serpents afraid of startling their prey, arching their tips as they crept closer in silence.
After receiving no answer for a while and finding the forced bent posture increasingly uncomfortable, Gu Yuan shifted his leg slightly, attempting to stand more at ease.
The instant he moved, the unseen tentacles filling the room seemed to receive a signal to hunt. In a flash, they lunged toward the prey they had been eyeing for so long.
Before Gu Yuan could react, an overwhelming sensation surged up from the base of his spine, spreading through his entire body in an instant.
The tentacles pressed against every inch of his body through his clothing, prying apart even his tightly closed legs.
His waist went weak at once, his legs giving out beneath him yet just as he was about to collapse, layers upon layers of tentacles supported him, leaving him no choice but to helplessly endure everything brought upon him by the unrestrained little male.
It was too much…
Each tentacle carried a dense concentration of male pheromones, S class pheromones that could drive countless females into madness with even the slightest trace yet here they flooded over him without restraint, overwhelming his entire body.
Every patch of exposed skin fell victim to the suctioning, probing touches.
Gu Yuan could barely even make a sound.
He parted his lips in a daze, his vision clouded with involuntary moisture and in that haze, he suddenly realized,
The positions between him and Luo had completely reversed.
The beautiful little Great Male sat kneeling atop his body, eyes lowered as he met the gaze of the man who lay in a state of utter disarray beneath him. For a fleeting moment, Gu Yuan was dazed, feeling as though he were witnessing the aloof and noble compassion of a deity looking down from the heavens.
Throughout the room, the mass of tentacles shifted, pulling away with a fawning air, as if presenting a gathered hoard of treasures to their still youthful master.
Luo raised his hand, his cool fingertips brushing over the gland on the side of Gu Yuan’s neck. He took a visible pleasure in feeling the other man’s adorable reaction, a rhythmic, involuntary shudder provoked by his touch.
Warm, inviting female pheromones spilled out from Gu Yuan, completely beyond his control. He smelled like a fragrant, delicious little cake, radiating a silent, irresistible invitation.
Luo, of course, had no intention of suppressing his appetite.
“Luo is hungry,” he declared. He leaned down, pressing close to the crook of Gu Yuan’s neck, his voice ringing with a sense of spoiled entitlement.
In the very next second, his newly grown milk teeth sank once more into the pitiable gland that had only just ceased being tormented.
“Ugh…”
Gu Yuan finally couldn’t help but let out a sharp cry.
He squeezed his palms so hard he nearly broke the skin, using every ounce of his willpower to keep from losing his mind amidst the torrential waves of pleasure. It took everything he had not to simply throw the fire starting Luo off his body.
His hand reached out, struggling and weak, grasping fruitlessly at the air several times before finally settling into a gesture of surrender. He let his palm rest gently against the back of Luo’s head.
He let out a helpless sigh. “Bite lighter, you little brat.”
The hollow, aching void was finally filled. Luo leaned against Gu Yuan with a look of sated bliss, his eyes squinting half shut as he inhaled the lingering scent of female pheromones. The foul mood he had been harboring vanished in an instant.
He rubbed against Gu Yuan happily. “I like it.”
He was thoroughly satisfied with Gu Yuan in every respect and as such, he wasn’t stingy about expressing his affection.
It took Gu Yuan quite a while to recover from his state of physical weakness. Hearing Luo’s words, he froze for a moment before realizing the boy was referring to his pheromones. He could only offer a smile of pure indulgence.
“Are you still hungry now? Do you need to eat something else?”
“Eat?” Luo asked, sounding genuinely confused.
Hadn’t he just finished eating?
Looking at the little Great Male who clearly had no concept of what “food” actually was, Gu Yuan forced himself to climb out of bed. He tucked Luo securely and comfortably into the blankets, issuing a soft warning:
“I’m going to the kitchen to make you something to eat. Stay here obediently and don’t move around, alright?”
Luo tilted his head, watching Gu Yuan head for the door. Using an old trick, he quietly released a small section of a tentacle and wound it around the man’s wrist.
Gu Yuan didn’t pay much mind to the lingering mental tentacle. He went straight to the refrigerator and began expertly rifling through the ingredients, preparing to cook dinner for Luo.
His fridge used to hold nothing but nutrient solutions but now, because of Luo, it was packed tight with various fresh foods.
After a moment of thought, Gu Yuan pulled out cheese and tender chicken breast. He planned to make cheese chicken rolls, a dish that had recently become very popular among young Great Males.
The tender meat rolls would be stuffed with rich, creamy cheese, paired with a refreshing, lung soothing summer fruit sweet soup. For the main course, he decided on sweet pies spread with raspberry jam, a menu perfectly suited to the sweet leaning palates of the male race.
*Beep, Beep, Beep, *
Just as Gu Yuan began slicing the summer fruit, his communicator suddenly chimed. Seeing that the caller was Wu You, he answered it casually.
“Something wrong?”
“General, news just came in from Idris. The anomalies at the border are rioting again. He said he couldn’t get in touch with…”
Wu You was busy rattling off the data in his hands but when he looked up and saw Gu Yuan, disheveled, clothes in disarray and sporting a vivid, erotic bite mark on his neck while cooking, his voice suffered a total breakdown.
“…He said he couldn’t reach you and wanted me to ask for instructions on what to do next. Idris’s personal opinion is to retreat temporarily to prevent more casualties if a new wormhole opens. You know how it is, those disgusting alien creatures always open wormholes in the most unexpected places and swarm in.”
After finishing his military report by leaning heavily on his remaining shreds of professional discipline, Wu You could no longer hide his teasing gaze. He looked Gu Yuan up and down, taking in the clear evidence of recent “strenuous activity.”
“General,” he said drolly, “I feel the need to remind you that, in a legal sense, His Highness Luo is still a larva. What you’re doing is against the law.”
*Thwack!*
Gu Yuan brought his knife down, leaving a deep gash in the cutting board.
He didn’t bother responding to the teasing.
Instead, he gave a cold sneer. “Tell Idris to hold the line. No retreating.”
“We’ve only been gone for a month and how many kilometers has he retreated already? If he’s that scared, why bother fighting at all? Why don’t we just retreat all the way back to the Capital and fulfill his wish of ‘avoiding battle to preserve the troops’?”
The memory of being beaten soundly by Gu Yuan in the past was still fresh in Wu You’s mind. He instantly snapped out of his playfulness, stood at attention and gave a formal military salute.
“Yes, General!”
Gu Yuan’s hands didn’t stop their rhythmic slicing. “If there’s nothing else, get lost.”
“Yes, General!”
Wu You beat a hasty retreat and disconnected. Neither of them noticed that the tentacle on Gu Yuan’s wrist twitched almost imperceptibly.
Back in the bedroom.
Luo, who had just discovered he could share the senses of his tentacles to see what was happening around Gu Yuan, listened to the conversation with a sense of bewilderment.
The anomalies at the border…
What was that?
