Friday.

I hated Fridays a lot.

Especially in my new school.Full novel: The Heirs: ZECA — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Unfortunately, this Friday, I was particularly assigned to work on a project concerning the biology of plants and for some reason unknown to me, everyone else got a partner and I was alone.

I found out the reason why.

Of course it was after a few days.

This Friday, our class surprisingly ushered in a new student.

I was doddling on a piece of paper.

E, I’d finally found out that his name.

Eamon Kyle and for some reason unbeknownst to me, I was attracted to his name.

He was beside me was arguing on the phone with God knows who and the rest of the class was practically doing what they could do best.

Amassing noise in the best way they could when a teacher brought in a boy.

“Quiet down class!!” the teacher yelled.

I raised my head and stared ahead of me while the rest of the class became a lot less silent as some people were still making a few annoying snickers.

He was about as tall as E.

He wore a blue moon colored shirt, grey pants, black sneakers and a red coat.

He had blackish grey hair.

His eyes were grayish or brownish.

I couldn’t tell from afar.

Actually, I just didn’t look closely.

He seemed muscular, reeked of arrogance and was handsome.

For the first time in weeks, I and E stared at each other before reverting our gazes back to him.

Our eyes reflected the same thing.

We didn’t like him.

“This is your new classmate everyone. Introduce yourself boy.” The teacher spoke.

The new student smiled while some girls shrieked at him.

I rolled my eyes and returned to my paper.

Then I felt someone probing my mind.

I knew how basically everyone’s powers in my class worked and I knew it wasn’t any of them and neither was it the teacher’s.

I raised my head and stared into the gray eyes that were shining at me.

He grinned and then spoke.

Hi he said in my mind probably figuring out to just speak to me when he couldn’t break through the barriers in my mind.

I glared at him and knew that this new student spelt trouble.

“My name is Gary Carl. I’ll be in your care from now on class A” he said.

Then for the first time in weeks, E spoke to me and that was the first thing that made us begin the fight.

“Stay away from him Zoe he brings trouble” E said in a commanding voice.

“I know” I answered back watching as Gary walked to his acquired seat while the teacher left the class which returned to it’s previous noisy state.

“No you don’t!” E snarled back “He is dangerous. You get that?”

“I’m not stupid you prick!” I growled angrily.

How dare he?

I thought to myself.

First time we’ve spoken to each other in weeks and it’s about some guy we just met seconds ago.

And he also had the nerve to command me.

We aren’t even close in the first place damnit!!

I was thoroughly pissed off by E and even worse, it was my worst day ever.

Oh you are so getting it E I fumed.

E turned at my last word to look at me.

It was the first time I saw anger blazing in his eyes.

“I am not a prick Zoe I’m telling you all this for your own safety” he gnashed his teeth.

His voice seemed to have gotten a lot louder in my ears.

“And suddenly I don’t know what’s good for me” I answered back sarcastically.
