“No powers should be used in Carroliton high. Principal’s orders” he whispered.

It was the guy who’d given the announcement.

I mused to myself

Because I am Infinity he said in my mind.

I was shocked.

No one had ever spoken telepathically to me.

At least not here that’s what I thought.

How could he have powers in a school that showed nothing about any student whatsoever having any abilities?

Feeling his awaiting eyes on me, I raised my head to lock gazes with him.

His blue green eyes stared at me with curiosity in his gaze.

It was him.

E was siting not so far away from me.

Unable to control my emotions, I took permission and forced myself out of the class.

Drake stood leaning against the wall close to the door of my class.

He raised a brow at me questioningly.

Drake Norman was sometimes a man of many words or gestures.

“Everything okay?” he asked his huge brown eyes assessing me from head to toe

“I’m fine” I said taking a deep breath “I need a minute” I said and he nodded staring straight ahead.

I sighed and walked a few metres away then back into the class.

The teacher was gone.

“Hey look! Miss Ephraim is back!” the loser who made a joke earlier about me spoke a glint of hatred in his eyes and just like that, everyone laughed.

Again.

I fisted my hands at my side.

I looked around at all their laughing faces and my eyes locked with his glassy ocean eyes.

E wasn’t smiling obviously upset about something.

Everything suddenly became blurry and was swirling in large circles.

Last thing I remembered was E running towards me and myself falling to nowhere.

I opened my eyes and found myself in my room.

On my bed.

What the hell?

I thought and dashed out of the room.

I ran to dad’s office and panted as I knocked on the door.

Next time I was surely going to use my powers.

Wait just a minute.

Will that ever happen again?

I hope not.

I embarrassed myself a lot today and I was about to find out how much damage I’d caused.

I knocked on the door.

“Come in” dad said and I walked in slowly.

“Hey dad. What happened? And why the heck am I at home right now?”

“Zoe. Don’t you remember what happened?”

“Okay when you put it like that, I’m kinda getting more confused okay? What really happened?” I asked sitting down on a couch nearby in dad’s spacious office.

Dad sometimes worked from home and when he did, it was extremely very rare.

It was either cause the workload was less or maybe cause he’s after something he doesn’t want anyone in his company besides his trusted assistant (I totally detest the guy) to be honest.

He doesn’t know I’m his boss’s last child the whole world’s literally looking for so he treats me like I’m some scumbag or a douche or even nobody.
