I complained to dad about his attitude but he reminded me that I chose this path for myself so I should stick to it and get more used to it.
“You fainted in school don’t you remember”
“Am I supposed to?” I asked and he gave me an exasperated look.
I was kinda thinking he was like ‘Where the hell did her brains run to?’ with the way he stared no glared at me.
“Aren’t you supposed to?” he asked just to annoy me further.

I’ll go meet him right away’ I rose from my chair.
“It wasn’t Drake.” Dad said and I literally froze.
“What?” I exclaimed in utter astonishment
“What?” someone mimicked behind me.
I was prepared to cut off the person’s tongue for daring to insult me and that too in front of my father like seriously?
I turned to stare at the idiot who’d dared and nonetheless surprised.
It was none other than Chris.

I growled at him and he snarled loudly to remind me of my place then immediately smiled.
“Sekani!!!!! You’re back from school. Did you enjoy your lessons there?” he grinned and I sighed flopping myself on the couch I’d placed myself on.
Yeah I forgot.
Though no news about me traveled out of dad’s house.
A lot traveled in his house the moment I’d begun living here.
And it was annoying.
Especially when the ones spreading the news have their whole life activities laid flat on a tabloid.

Chris rolled his eyes and then stared at dad who probably spoke silently to him.
He frowned and then giving me one last glare walked away.
I sighed in relief.
Oh yeah I forgot when Chris is in a foul mode, he lashed out at the first person he sees and in a funny way.
And I fell into his wide open mouth trap today.
