It is midnight and I feel the strangest sensation. I hear this voice inside my head talking to me. I am certain it is not Tony’s voice because he sounds nothing like this voice. The only way to describe the sound is to say that it sounded like the night that I met Erik and Kamari when I thought I heard this animalistic voice say the word mate. I thought I was bugging out or just hearing things then. Now I most certainly know that I heard exactly what I thought I heard in my mind. The voice introduces itself as Ahmad. I steady my nerves and ask the question what do we do now. Erik answers the question for me through a mind link.He says because I was born to the Alpha and Luna of the Lunar Eclipse lands/packs, I will begin to hear all of the members who are still living as their Alpha. So it has begun that I am no longer cloaked or veiled and so those who betrayed us will also now know of my existence.
Ahmad and I make our first shift together. It sure was strange hearing all of my bones crack the way they did to take form and it definitely was not without some major pain in my body. I can see that one of my new powers is to be present at the same time as my Ahmad . According to Erik, most of the time the wolf takes over completely when a Lycan is shifted. This will be an advantage for me because I can stay in control and be powerful as a wolf alongside Ahmad at the same time. Everyone else in my inner circle shifts into their forms and we all go outside to run together as a tradition for whomever is the newest Lycan to shift into wolf form. I happen to be new even though I am the Alpha. My wolf’s fur is golden with chocolate colored paws. I looked at myself in the mirror before our run. Wow this run feels amazing. I feel so free and alive as the cool night air whips through my fur.
Ahmad tells me that he has waited a very long time to emerge and that I have much to learn in a short period of time because there will be a war soon. This is not exactly what I want to hear on my first day as an Adult Alpha, I am aware that there are those who have already risen up against the prophecy starting with the night my birth parents were killed. It was assumed that I was dead, but now they will come.
Promptly at 6am, I begin my training to be a skilled fighter and how to rule with Erik. Kamari is also present to train and Tony is able to spare with me because his strength also increased to match my own at midnight. He is still my Protector but I have made him my Beta as well. Kamari is automatically my queen/Luna by title only because she will have power to match my strength as well at midnight today when she turns 18. She is so beautiful standing in her wolf form with her white fur with golden steaks throughout the fur. I can see the mark of the Lunar Eclipse packs on her fur, a small patch of the lunar phases of the moon. Training on this first day is so intense because not only must I train in human form, but I must also train in my wolf form as well so that I am prepared for every type of attack. Erik is an excellent trainer. He is tough but patient at the same time.
As the training session comes to an end for the day. I realize that I have not tested out my new powers. I definitely have a faster than normal speed. I have the ability to transport short distances away from myself. Those are the two powers that I have tested out so far now that I have the time. I am fully impressed.
I walk over to Kamari and hold her for a few minutes taking in her cherry blossoms scent. Her scent seems to have a full calming effect on me even though I am a ball of nerves that are on edge. I bend down and we share our first kiss together. There is a jolt of electricity that floods through my body as I take full possession of her lips. I will wait until after midnight to explore other parts of her body like we promised each other. My heart is racing and I feel parts of my body begin to respond to her in ways that I have never felt. I have a strong urge and yearning for her, but it is not yet time.
