Kamari
My time has come to become an adult in 15 minutes. According to the prophecy concerning Lamar, I will gain more powers that will match Lamar’s powers so that I can be a compliment to him and defend him and myself when needed. I will try my hardest to be the best mate and queen/Luna to please Lamar not only out of duty but because of the love that I have for him and for myself.
With everything that has happened for the past two days we did not have time to discuss our new living arrangements. We were planning to sign the paperwork today, yes it is now officially my 18th birthday, for a new apartment. At this point, it is uncertain what our next step is until Lamar decides what he wants to do. I know that he will include me in whatever decision that he makes, but for me it will always be wherever he goes I will follow for he is my Alpha and my loving mate. I am so grateful to have found our small inner circle and family because now I feel complete. I haven’t felt whole in my life since before my mother passed away. Every time I enter into Lamar’s arms I feel like I can breathe and I feel an aching for his touch all over my body. I look over into his steel grey eyes and smile because he is staring at me with this look that tells me that his heart belongs to me and I feel a warming sensation like I am on fire.
I look down and there is a glow like fire coming from my hands. What is this new power? I look around to see if anyone else sees what is happening to me. I try to control it, but it keeps growing hotter and hotter. I feel like I am about to burst into flames when I feel a sudden cooling sensation before I collapse into a wall of muscle.
Lamar
I am staring down at the woman I love with a worried look on my face. Just an hour ago I watched her body begin to glow like she had the power of the sun radiating through her body. Her hands began to create this ball of fire and I could see her losing control of herself. Using my power of speed, I am at her side immediately as I feel a cooling sensation course through my body like liquid ice. I touch her to try and help her because I can sense her fear and anxiety as she collapses in my arms. I carry her to my room and place her gently on my bed. I mind link Erik, Tony, and Mystic to come to my room. They had not joined us at midnight, but had instead let Kamari and I have a private moment to celebrate her transformation into adulthood.
We stand watch over Kamari as I explain to them what just happened. I am at a loss because I have never seen or experienced anything like this before. I turn to Erik for his wisdom on this matter to see if he knows what has just happened. He looks over at me with confusion and worry in his eyes as he checks over his daughter to make sure that she is okay. Whatever happened when I touched her seems to have worked for the moment in calming down whatever all of this craziness is. Did my mate just catch on fire in front of me? What is this new power of my mate’s and further more what is this new power of mine as well?
I see my mate’s eyes flutter and then she awakens. I gently sit down on the bed and hold her close against my broad chest as I stroke her cheek softly. I offer her the water on the nightstand that my mother had brought upstairs from the kitchen. I wait a few moments to let her take in her surroundings and mentally process what she can remember. She begins to speak but it is her wolf that is doing the speaking for her.
