Yu Se went to the washroom first. As a doctor, he had a mild case of germaphobia. Even though he was staying in the rather inconvenient Feng family residence, he still needed to freshen up and tidy his appearance first.

His body hair was sparse, and the stubble on his cheeks was even rarer; only the hair on his head and his eyelashes were thick enough. If he were a female, he would definitely be wildly praised by his best friends for being so good at growing hair.

After washing his face and rinsing his mouth, Yu Se was finally ready to go see the Third Young Master, Feng Zhile, who was confined to his room.Full novel: The Imperial Physician In A CEO’s Childbirth Novel (Transmigration) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Feng Zhile’s emotional state upon seeing him was extremely high-spirited. He felt that this doctor was very righteous for coming to diagnose and treat him as early as seven o’clock, making him a reliable person to depend on.

In truth, this was mostly guided imperceptibly by Yu Se’s natural likability and affinity.

No one could possibly dislike him.

Yu Se apologized very sincerely, telling the truth of the matter: he hadn’t been able to smoothly walk out of that maze-like mansion, so he had no choice but to make do for the night in an unfamiliar room.

Upon hearing this, Feng Zhile burst into laughter. This was probably the happiest he had laughed since making his mistake and being locked up.

“That’s true, I can totally understand.” Feng Zhile carried the natural innocence of someone who had yet to step out into the real world, as if he could see through the essence of all things in the world without being tainted by it. His smile was like brilliant sunlight, capable of instantly dispelling the gloom in people’s hearts.

“When I was little, I liked playing hide-and-seek games with the domestic servants around the house. Once, I hid in a place where no one could find me, and my heart was filled with smugness.”

Feng Zhile lay prone on the bed, lazily swinging his two feet so that his trouser legs went unevenly high and low, exposing skin as white as snow and tender as a child’s.

Yu Se applied the medicine carefully while patiently observing his reactions.

“And then guess what happened?” Feng Zhile was completely immersed in his own world. “The domestic servants searched for me like crazy for two days. Big Brother’s roaring sound was about to shatter the soundproofing boards of the house, and even Second Brother lost his gentlemanly composure for the first time. Later, I got so hungry that I finally crawled out and shouted their names.”

Yu Se laughed at him, saying that when all was said and done, he was just a child who couldn’t grow up. Feng Zhile’s expression changed in the blink of an eye, full of utter dejection. “If I had known, I wish I really had gone missing.”

“My Big Brother and Second Brother are both more than a dozen years older than me. The generation gap between us can completely be called a chasm.”

“The two of them look like real biological brothers; only me! I am the shame of this family!”

“Every time there’s a family gathering, the two of them chat and laugh away with unfathomably profound topics, while I can never chime in and can only smile awkwardly on the side.”

“In their eyes, I’m probably just an ignorant child, an accident carelessly produced by my parents’ loving affection!”

Feng Zhile hammered the edge of the bed fiercely. “That’s why I always hang out with those people! Only those people treat me like a real friend!”

“They understand me, comprehend me, and don’t always treat me like a little kid! Although I know hanging out with them has no benefits and will even disappoint Big and Second Brother, I’m really sick of the feeling of being ignored at home!” Feng Zhile’s emotions were somewhat agitated, his eye rims slightly red. Clearly, these words had been bottled up in his heart for a long time.

Having such a large age gap among children really caused big problems, especially when parents failed to balance things in between, leaving deeply buried hidden dangers.

Yu Se said, “Do you feel that those friends you went out to play with are more trustworthy than your own older brothers?”

“Um.” Feng Zhile was blocked so thoroughly he had nothing to say.

Yu Se asked again, “When you guys went out to play, only you ended up in trouble. Then what about those people who accompanied you at the time? Did they help you out of trouble back then? Did they safely send you home?”

Feng Zhile fell silent for a moment, seemingly recalling how those so-called friends had performed at the critical moment, then slowly shook his head. “No. That day was very chaotic; by the time I woke up, they had already abandoned me and left.”

“You see,” Yu Se sighed softly, “At critical moments, it’s still your family members who will worry about you, go all out to look for you, and protect you. Those so-called friends often run faster than anyone else the moment you need them.”

Yu Se took out his own phone. “I reckon that when you borrowed my phone, eight times out of ten it was because you still wanted to contact those friends outside.”

“Here, take it.”

Yu Se’s words were coaxing and guiding. “However, I can also make a bet with you. Those people will definitely not answer your call, even though the number you’re using is mine.”

Feng Zhile took the phone half-doubtfully, his fingers swiping gently across the screen before finally pressing down on one of the most familiar numbers.

During the wait for the call to connect, a subtle sense of tension seemed to permeate the air.

However, exactly as Yu Se had predicted, the only thing coming from the other end of the phone was a cold busy tone with no one answering.

Sure enough, he had been abandoned!!

Feng Zhile’s tears instantly streamed out of his eye sockets, and he cried out in anguish, “No one in this world really loves me! Even he was lying to me!!”

Oh, “he”.

Yu Se’s ability to capture fragmented information was very strong. Based on the Feng family members hiding half of what they said and Feng Zhile’s disjointed rambling, the following deductions could roughly be made:

A group of bratty kids who had just graduated from high school thought they were hot stuff and got drunk late into the night. As a result, some unknown event happened during that period.

The Third Young Master Feng must have mistakenly believed that the person he was intimately intimate with that night was the one his heart belonged to.

That was why he bit his tongue hard and refused to let go, unwilling to tell the truth to his older brothers, yet also unwilling to betray his crush.

Today’s kids were truly impossible to get a pulse on. Yu Se shook his head helplessly; the Feng Zhile before his eyes was a living, breathing example.

Watching Feng Zhile still sobbing there, Yu Se gave a light cough, attempting to change the subject. “Alright, stop crying. What’s done is done, crying can’t solve problems either. What do you plan to do now?”

Feng Zhile dialed the number dozens of times continuously, and the only response greeting him was a cold, unanswered silence.

That was to be expected.

Yu Se had just heard Feng Cheng say that all the guys who went out with Feng Zhile had been thoroughly dealt with.

Therefore, no matter how Feng Zhile dialed, it was definitely gone without a trace, and for all he knew, they might cease to exist as people in the future.

There was no helping it, it was a dog-blood novel after all.

Yu Se originally intended to coax the heartbroken young master a bit more.

Suddenly, Feng Zhile clutched his lower abdomen and whimpered softly, “It hurts so much, Doctor, why does my stomach hurt so badly?”

“This…”

Yu Se’s expression grew solemn. Just as he had thought, the event least likely to happen in this world had ultimately happened.

Therefore, boys in dog-blood stories must definitely protect themselves well when going out.

Yu Se helped him lie down, used professional obstetric techniques to massage his abdomen, and asked cautiously, “Do you feel a bit better now? If it still hurts, we’ll go to the hospital right away.”

Feng Zhile’s complexion was somewhat pale as he shook his head slightly. “No need. It’s probably just that breakfast upset my stomach; resting for a bit will fix it.”

Yu Se knew the truth well—he had used the other person to run a small experiment. Therefore, he chose silence, guarded by Feng Zhile’s side, and helped the Feng family’s foolish young master continue his abdominal massage.

An hour later, Yu Se smoothly walked out of the bedroom, found Housekeeper Jin, and nodded. “Mhm.”

Housekeeper Jin was left completely baffled, until he saw Yu Se’s deeply grave attitude. Panic gripped him so hard he stumbled as he led the way forward, taking the doctor to intercept Feng Cheng, who was just about to leave the house.

Feng Cheng went to report at the company on time every single day, whereas Feng Yinchen didn’t have to.

To avoid the family head’s ears, Yu Se directly got into Feng Cheng’s car, right after the partition inside the vehicle cabin was completely closed.

Only then did Yu Se say heavily, “There’s no need to take the Third Young Master to the hospital for a physical checkup. I used a bit of technique to stimulate him further.

“The place where he felt pain was obviously his lower abdomen. Based on the timeline Eldest Young Master provided, it’s been over a month now. It should be the unfortunate option.”

A single sentence instantly turned Feng Cheng’s eyes burning red. Yu Se had seen the gazes of many patients—desperate, struggling, joyful, and hopeful.

Intense hatred and bone-deep remorse were superimposed on each other, leaving one utterly devastated.

Feng Cheng’s clenched fists trembled. He had never hated himself so much before—hating his own negligence and oversight, and hating why he hadn’t cared more about his younger brother’s social circle.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, attempting to calm the turbulent waves inside his heart, but that hatred and remorse were like a prairie fire, impossible to curb.

“Dr. Yu, are you sure?” Feng Cheng’s voice was low and hoarse, every single word sounding as if squeezed out from the depths of his throat.

Yu Se nodded heavily. He understood Feng Cheng’s pain; as a doctor, he had seen far too many cases of lifelong regrets caused by neglect.

Especially this time, happening to a nineteen-year-old boy, that sense of heaviness was even more indescribable.

A brief silence fell inside the car cabin, with only Feng Cheng’s heavy breathing echoing around. He opened his eyes, a decisive glint flashing within his pupils as if he had made up some sort of resolution.

“The bad company friends who used to be close with Zhile have pretty much been dealt with by me.” Feng Cheng’s voice was exceptionally firm; he had already found a direction out of his pain. He was going to seek justice for his younger brother, no matter how high the price.

“Doctor, what methods do you have on your end to help Zhile get rid of the child? It’s best if it’s done without his knowledge.”

The solutions Yu Se could immediately offer were: high-intensity skipping rope, horseback riding, marathons, and drinking large bowls of safflower tea.

Just kidding.

Yu Se: “Actually, to not hide it from you, Eldest Young Master, this is my very first time taking on a male abortion case. Especially since the Third Young Master is still young, what if improper operation triggers some unpredictable consequences? No one can say for sure.”

Feng Cheng seemed to have made up his mind, resolute and uncompromising. “Could it be that we let him give birth to the child? Aside from suffering endless criticism, he’d also have to live his whole life under the shadow of not knowing who the child’s father is?”

He could not allow such a thing to happen!

In reality, Yu Se didn’t dare to say that Feng Zhile didn’t even know he could get pregnant; if the child found out, it would probably scare him out of his wits.

The air inside the car cabin fell into a stagnant state, making both of them feel deeply suffocated.

Feng Cheng’s phone rang unexpectedly, and Yu Se prepared to get out of the car to avoid it.

Feng Cheng didn’t seem to intend on treating him like an outsider—mostly because after signing the confidentiality agreement, Yu Se’s mouth belonged to the Feng family.

This phone call didn’t last long, but Feng Cheng’s brows knitted tighter and tighter.

Yu Se unintentionally overheard the voice on the phone; it seemed to belong to Feng Yinchen.

Feng Yinchen said, “Have you been interacting with the Xiao family lately?”

“The Xiao family has gone mad or something, proposing to intermarry with the Feng family.”

“Which of you three brothers are you sending?”

“They specifically named and requested all three of you brothers to go to dinner with them, or else they’ll make things difficult for the Feng family.”
