Fu Qinghai and Ogedai sat side-by-side on a steel plate atop the warship, watching the residents below working diligently. The Star was gradually setting, casting two long silhouettes of the pair in front of them.
One large, one small.
“It’s been a whole day, why haven’t they arrived yet?” Fu Qinghai asked.
Ogedai calmly observed the busy scene below and said lightly, “The Starship is a bit far from the Planet, and they might also be confirming my identity.”
“Your identity?”
“You know, Psykers all have some special methods.”
Special methods? Hearing this, Fu Qinghai looked at Ogedai with eyes full of curiosity.
Ogedai explained, “As far as I know, the Chief Storm Seer of our Legion, Yesugei, can make a strong Astartes temporarily lose his memory, forgetting his purpose and what just happened.”
“Oh.” Fu Qinghai made an ‘oh’ sound, feeling a little disappointed. He had thought that the Psykers of the Space Marine Legion could directly control a person's mind like Yuri could.
Ogedai’s comrades might worry that Ogedai was temporarily subjected to Brainwashing by the Legion Librarium of the Sons of Horus, and this possibility exists, but the probability is low.
Fu Qinghai could not figure out the significance of a precious Legion Librarium appearing on a remote Planet like Cheslatan.
The appearance of even one Space Marine would be news enough.
Even if it were Brainwashing, it could only last for a short time, not long enough to control a Space Marine.
Thinking further, the current Sons of Horus, formerly the Lunar Wolves, were staunch supporters of the Emperor’s decision to abolish the Chief Librarian establishment at the Keniya conference discussing the usage regulations for Legion Psykers; the proportion of Librarian Unit within the XVI Legion is not high.
“Trust me, they will be here soon,” Ogedai comforted him.
Fu Qinghai also felt some anticipation in his heart; he hoped that many of his doubts could be answered in the subsequent landing.

In the distance, a fixed-wing aircraft painted white and red stirred up a violent cloud of Smoke and Dust. Accompanied by the Roar of its Engine, the massive fuselage slowly descended.
Unlike the streamlined aerodynamic shapes popular in the aircraft of his past life on Earth, this aircraft, apart from its size comparable to a space shuttle, had an overall appearance characterized by sharp angles, straight and rigid lines, and solid, thick Armor, exuding a ferocious muscularity.
The main wings were rear-mounted, and there were two small canards near the nose. Both sets of wings were equally solid, thick, and angular. Two pairs of dark, side-mounted twin Heavy Bolters were exposed on the side of the fuselage.
If the fighter jets of his past life on Earth were elegant and slender ladies, this behemoth was a muscle-bound strongman armed to the teeth.
It was a Stormbird-pattern Transport Craft, also known as a Stormbird, a common attack and transport craft used by Space Marine Legions. It could fly both outside and inside the Atmosphere and was typically used by Space Marine Legions as a Landing Craft.
Fu Qinghai had no objection to its appearance, which looked very sturdy and durable yet highly un-aerodynamic. Flight outside the Atmosphere did not require considering the aerodynamic shape, and when flying inside the Atmosphere...
As everyone knows, as long as the power is sufficient, even a brick can fly. Only those weak aircraft with insufficient Engine thrust need to consider the aerodynamic shape. Mindlessly increasing thrust is the essence of violent flight aesthetics (Dog Head ).
Watching the Stormbird slowly landing in the distance, Fu Qinghai’s thoughts gradually drifted beyond the Universe itself.
The Vth Legion White Scars are essentially the product of the GW British scriptwriters having only a superficial understanding of Mongolian culture. The setting of this Legion draws heavily on the culture and systems of many steppe polities, including the Mongols, Jin, and Liao. Various popular cultures in the world influence each other. As the second Scourge of God, the Mongol Empire is naturally mysterious, powerful, and attractive in the minds of modern Europeans. For example, the German band Dschinghis Khan (Dschinghis Khan ), which was popular across Europe and America during the Disco era, is a good example.
However, this European fondness for Mongolian culture is more of a superficial yearning, like Ye Gong loving dragons. They do not truly understand Mongolian culture. Mongolian culture is also a part of Chinese culture. As a Huaxia person, Fu Qinghai’s understanding of the Mongol Yuan dynasty is naturally deeper than that of the average European. But after careful consideration, precisely because of the scriptwriters' superficial understanding at GW, his knowledge of Mongolian history and culture does not help him integrate better into the White Scars Legion; he still has to rely more on diligently recalling the plot development of the original work to gain benefits.
After stopping, the hatch on the belly of the Stormbird Slowly opening. Fu Qinghai pushed Ogedai’s wheelchair and went to meet them.
A tall silhouette appeared in the Smoke and Dust that had not yet dissipated, and a pair of scarlet lights lit up—those were the Ocular Lenses of an Astartes Battle Armor Helmet.
The Smoke and Dust cleared, and a tall warrior clad in Battle Armor and wearing a Helmet walked down the ramp. He gently removed his Helmet and placed it at his waist, revealing a closely cropped, weather-beaten Face. His eyes immediately fixed on the empty lower body of Ogedai in the wheelchair. The joy on his Face gradually vanished, and he spoke with a complex tone:
“Ogedai, my brother, are you well?”
Ogedai, sitting in the wheelchair, stared fixedly at the tall warrior before him, suddenly laughing heartily and opening his Arms. “Of course, Taral, I am very well, better than ever!”

In Calvin’s small villa.
Two men of enormous Physique, clearly abnormal, sat opposite each other. There was no one else here; even Calvin himself had been ushered out of the living room.
“This is a colony Planet of little value. They haven't even managed to establish Agri-World farming factories yet. Food, fuel, Materials, supplies, population—nothing. Why would the Sons of Horus come here?” Taral asked.
“I don’t know,” Ogedai pursed his lips, “but I have a guess.”
“What guess?”
“They don’t know either.” Ogedai finished speaking and poured a glass of wine.
“What do you mean? Oh, you mean…” Taral, sitting opposite, was startled for a moment before realizing.
“That’s right. This is a Planet discovered and conquered by the 17th Expeditionary Fleet, not by us, nor by the Sons of Horus.” Ogedai finished, swirling the Amber-colored liquid in his glass before tilting his head back and draining it.
Smacking his lips, Ogedai continued, “Look, the Blood Angels conquered a Planet and marked it on the star chart as a Terra-like Planet suitable for agriculture, and that was it. They had no need, nor the means, to inform other Legions about the actual development status of this Planet.”
“After all, the Psionic communication of Astropaths is brief, fragmented, and precious. You know that; it cannot be used to transmit such trivial Information.”
“And when the Sons of Horus see a Planet marked as an Agri-World on the star chart, what do you think they will do?”
“No matter what, they will come to check it out first,” Taral affirmed.
It’s better to try than not to try.
“Exactly, and then we happened to run into them.” Ogedai finished this sentence and pushed his wheelchair toward a cabinet nearby.
“This wine is quite flavorful. I thought that besides the strong liquor from Chogoris, no other swill produced on any other Planet would interest me. Perhaps losing my Arms has changed my sense of taste; I need to go check his cabinet for a couple more bottles.”
“You bandit,” Taral laughed and cursed. “To be honest, when you decided to lead your Tactical Squad to initiate Boarding on the *Gryphon*, we all thought you had gone mad. I feel extremely fortunate just to see you alive now.”
“We cannot let any Traitor go.” Speaking of this, Ogedai stopped rummaging. He frowned, staring at the floor in front of him, seemingly recalling some Painful memory. “I remember Hedu, I remember Agil, I remember many of my brothers. They did not die fighting the Greenskin, but fell by the blades of their own kind.”
A flash of hatred crossed Ogedai’s eyes. “I wish I could catch up with our Fleet right now and fight the Traitors to the death on Terra, for the Khan, and for the Emperor.”
“You are right,” Taral said solemnly. “But don’t forget, we have a mission.”
“I haven’t forgotten.” Ogedai closed the cabinet, having found nothing. “No need to say more; we depart now.”
“But before we leave, I need to take someone with me.”
